Cosmic Paragon

Chapter 129: Not satisfied!

In a waiting room somewhere in the Arena, white light flashed and a person slowly appeared in the middle of the room.

Anybody that had seen the fight that Evil Samurai King had just been through and the state he had been in would be absolutely shocked to see his current condition.

He was good as new without a single cut, burn. There was not a single blemish on his skin.

Even his head had been put back in place and healed perfectly, leaving not even the slightest scar behind.

If it weren't for the signs of a fight, like the torn and burnt clothes and scarred armor no one would believe that he was the same person that had just been in that fight.

Suddenly, Evil Samurai King's eyes sprang open and he frantically patted himself checking if any part of his body was hurt. Only after a few seconds did he stop upon confirming that there was no injury and his heart calmed down.

The next second however, his face turned unsightly as he recalled the terrible state he had been in thanks to his fight against Paragon.

"Paragon, you bastard." He roared; heart filled with indignation. "Just you wait! You only won because I let my guard down. I will not make the same mistake next time."

Despite the fact that he felt some fear hidden towards Paragon, Evil Samurai King believed that he had only lost because he had not gone all out since the very beginning of the fight. He firmly believed that if he had not wasted time and had instead attacked with his full strength from the very beginning of the fight then he would have won.

There was also the humiliation he felt from losing to someone he considered nothing but trash.

The more Evil Samurai King thought about it the further incensed he was. His fury boiled over but he had nowhere to vent his frustration. He could only destroy the furniture around the room.

Drake was still seething as Evil Samurai King was teleported out. He hated the fact that he could not torture the living hell out of Evil Samurai King and instead had to kill him so early.

There was not even enough time for the pain to sink in.

BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!

Drake's rage was still simmering when there were suddenly several beeping alert sounds ringing from his Sky Link.

He checked what it was and was startled that they were all challenge notification alerts. Drake was surprised at first but then he soon understood.

Most of these people had seen that he was being thrown around and so they had rushed to challenge him. One reason being because they believed that after fight against one of the 10 Kings, Paragon was definitely heavily injured so they had a high chance of being able to defeat him and eliminate him. With that they could get one easy kill and advance further in the competition.

Another reason why they were so eager to fight and defeat him now was also because he had just defeated another one of the 10 Kings. If Paragon's first victory against the Illusion King of the 10 Kings was considered a fluke, then his second victory which was now against the Evil Samurai King was something else.

The Victory against the 10 Kings instantly caused the popularity on Paragon's reputation to skyrocket.

If they could defeat Paragon right now, then that reputation and popularity would instantly become theirs.

"Hehehe, you want to use me as a spring board you can walk on? You are courting death!" With a wave of his hand Drake gave the system a command to accept all challenges.

"They couldn't have come at a better time."

Drake had just been wanting to release his pent-up frustration and these blind idiots were sending him what he desperately needed. Which just so happened to be people to kill.

"A ferocious grin spread on Drake's face behind his mask."

"Accept all challenges! Drake commanded the Arena system through hi Sky link."

"Command failed! There are too many challenges on the list while contestant only has nine slots available, please select which challenges you would like to take."

"You can randomly select from the list."

"Opponents have been randomly selected. Would you like to face them one by one or all at once?"

"Send them all."

Please confirm.

Confirm!

Nine challenges accepted. 'Hell mode' activated! Please choose map!

Random!

Transporting opponents into the map.

Drake turned his head at this time to see several clusters of white lights. There were nine of them men and women and a person emerged from each one of the lights.

Raised his left hand to his side, Drake activated his magic power.

'Gravity power - Pull!'

A powerful force of attraction was exerted from his palm and the sheath of Evil Samurai King's blade that had fallen at sometime during their fight flew into Drake's grasp.

The first light dispersed and a man with muscular arms that were slightly longer than those of regular people came into view. This man's weapon was neither a saber nor a sword. It was a hammer instead.

An extremely gigantic hammer!

"I will smash your brains,"

Not waiting to even catch his breath, he directly charged forward like a starving tiger who broke out of its cage. While he was carrying a heavy weapon he still moved at a fast speed like an arrow loosed from the bowstring. He rushed out straight for Drake. The man knew that if he did not kill Paragon fast and the others came out, things would only get harder with the added competition.

He was a 3 star mage but he could sense someone stronger than himself among the other eight. If that person were to come out he would would lose his chance at ever getting that title and reputation. Because he probably would not even be able to kill Paragon himself.

Suddenly, it was as if Paragon was up against what could only be called a humanoid beast. The look alone was terrifying.

A wisp of a smile crossed the man's face when he saw Paragon standing there at a loss. He took it as an indication of fear.

'Humph! To think you would be completely frozen in fear. But this

This was a strategy he had learned about fighting. When in a fight momentum and imposing aura were extremely important always very in a fight. No matter whether your opponent was stronger or on the same level as yourself, the one with the strongetst momentum and imposing aura would suppress the opposition, giving him an advantage.

As for how great an advantage he would have would depend on the opponent.

This man's ability was less than impressive if he was compared to the top students of the academy, but Luo had always been careful and decisive. That is why he charged in so imposingly.

He wanted to crush Paragon's will with momentum alone.

All eyes were fixated on the battle. Paragon had just jumped into a fight against nine different opponents and the first to appear was already a powerful 3 star mage.

Could Paragon win after this madness? Or would he be done in?

That was a question that everyone wanted the answer to.

The young man roared. "Die Paragon!"

Drake snorted and sneered. "Humph, if having the loudest voice meant you could kill your opponent then everybody would fear donkeys."

This man was both cunning and ruthless. He didn't take Paragon lightly just because he had just been in a fight, instead he decisively attacked with his full strength. He activated his magic power and a pale white phantom image appeared around him depicting the image of a beast ape.

As it turns out, this man was a Shifter type mage, with his transformatin being a giant ape.

Most Ape transformations gave the Shifter mage amazing agility and powerful physical strength especially in their arms. It was the same the moment he arrived he attacked.

Drake originally thought that this guy would be slow seeing how he carried the extremely heavy hammer. But who would have thought that he would be surprisingly fast!?

Drake leaned to the side and dodged the hammer.

BANG!

The hammer smashed on the ground and shook the entire place. The spectators almost felt the ground tremble slightly.

"Huh? You dodged it?" Although the man revealed a surprised expression, he continued to use the gigantic hammer to attack Paragon.

The more the spectators saw the more shocked they were as they watched the battle. If someone got struck by that gigantic hammer, wouldn't their bones shatter? Drake dodged a few of the strikes and stabbed his sheathed blade at the man.

Although the man's hammer looked huge and stupidly heavy, he manipulated and swung it like it wss extremely light in his hands as he used it to block the attack.

"This is all your strength?" feeling the weak impact the man sneered and exerted force with his hammer and forced Paragon back a few steps.

Drake raised an eyebrow. He was slightly surprised This guy was simply too strong with his large hammer. Not only was he quick and smooth, but he was also strangely nimble.

The man did not give Lin Xiu any time to think as he used his hammer to continue his attacks!

From the way the man brandished his weapon and moved, Drake could already tell that he went out frequently for actual battle. The battle instincts gained from encountering real life-or-death situations was something the students at Alpha academy that had grown spoilt in their families could not compare to.
