Conqueror’s Desire

MC carefully descended the stone steps. The air inside the cave was damp and cold, seeping into his bones. The deeper they went, the darker it became, with only the faint glow of crystals on the cave walls providing any light.

"What is this place?" MC muttered.

The heavy footsteps behind him were a constant reminder that he was not alone. The pirates and Nami followed closely, each of them on high alert.

"Don't try anything funny, kid," the bald pirate warned. "If this is a trap, you're the first to die."

MC scoffed. "I should be the one saying that."

The cave corridor narrowed, winding deeper underground. The floor was slick with thick moss, and from the ceiling, massive stalactites hung, dripping water that echoed in the silence.

Then, they saw it.

At the end of the corridor, a vast chamber opened up, dimly illuminated by the shimmering crystals embedded in the walls. And in the center of the room…

A treasure chest.

The pirates held their breath, their eyes glinting with greed.

"Shit, it's real!" one of them exclaimed.

The bald pirate grinned. "Nami, you really didn't disappoint."

Nami gave a sly smile. "I always keep my promises."

But MC felt uneasy.

This is too easy.

As the bald pirate stepped forward to open the chest, a soft click echoed through the chamber.

MC's instincts screamed. "STOP!"

But it was too late.

The cave walls trembled.

The ground beneath them cracked, and before anyone could react, the center of the room collapsed. One of the pirates let out a scream as he plunged into the gaping hole that had suddenly appeared.

CRASH!

Dust erupted into the air, swallowing the chamber in a thick, suffocating fog. MC stumbled backward, grabbing the nearest rock to keep himself from falling.

"It's a trap!" someone shouted.

But the warning turned into a scream of agony.

From the chasm in the floor, something emerged.

A massive creature… a two-headed serpent with gleaming black scales and piercing red eyes that glowed in the darkness.

MC's eyes widened. "What the hell is that?!"

The bald pirate immediately drew his sword. "Shit! We have to kill it first!"

But before anyone could move, the beast struck with terrifying speed, sinking its fangs into one of the pirates and hurling him against the cave wall.

Blood splattered.

MC realized in an instant… this was no ordinary treasure hunt.

They had entered the Cave of Death.

And now, survival was the only thing that mattered.
