Chapter 69

Today was the day the merchant will arrive. Right now Fendrel was in the storage house, seeing all the goods, Gioz and his soldiers collected.

There were a total of 500 normal plants and three rare plants, Gioz only found one rare fruit in the past few days. As for the core, there were 5000 normal beast core and 1000 Tier 1 elemental beast core.

"This would make you at least somewhere between 200 thousand to 300 thousand gold coins, Sir Fendrel... 150 thousand for the rare plants, including the Tier 1 elemental beast core. Furthermore, one hundred thousand for all normal goods" Said Carl, after he was done checking all the goods.

"En... A good price." Fendrel nodded and said thank you afterward.

"No problem, Sir Fendrel. This is small, compared to the help we received from you." Carl said.

"Also, Sir Fendrel. I still owe you 200 thousand gold coins, so you have a total of 500 thousand gold coins. Moreover, I will promise you Sir Fendrel, to tell my dad to do a secret trade to Sir Fendrel's village." Sansa said sincerely. Why secret trade, because trading with the monsters is illegal. However, although it's illegal, merchants didn't care about that law, as long as you won't get caught by a lot of people. Then, officials didn't really care about those merchants.

"Then, I will thank you on behalf of the village. It will be a great help for my village to grow." Fendrel said, having a new merchant to trade was a big gain for his village. He needs to accumulate a huge amount of money, because after he upgrades his village to town. That's where the challenge began, it's like your game had suddenly jumped up from easy mode to hellish mode.

After some time, while they were conversing inside, the door suddenly opens, it was Lavender.

"Your Majesty, the merchant has arrived." Lavender reported.

Hearing it the trio looked at each other, he then said. "Let's go, and meet that merchant." The two just nodded in response.

After some time, they arrived at the gate, all of his subordinates and captains were on his side, excluding Lavender who was at the house. He doesn't want to shock the humans, that he has humans in his village. He wanted this transaction to proceed smoothly. As for the trio, they are not his subordinates, so he didn't see any problems with it. He then ordered Franco to open the gate.

"OPEN THE GATE." Franco shouted at the guard.

Shortly after, the gate began to open, it was slowly sliding downward, like an opening jaw.

On the other side of the gate, Avalon and a one merchant caravan, with a group of five adventurers guarding it. They were waiting for the gate to fully open, while they were waiting the thief of the group suddenly spoke.

"Lord Avalon, what kind of monster is this subordinate of yours? Are they Half Dark Elves?... And also, is Lord Avalon really sure that this is just a village? This is more like a soon-to-be town to me." The thief spoke, seeing the stone wall and the archers in the watchtowers, that looks like a dark elf, staring at them like Hawks. The rest of the group, also looked at Avalon waiting for his reply. Although his words were respectful. However, you can't see any respect in his face, and since Avalon was dumb he didn't see anything suspicious.

Hearing the respectful tone of the human, he felt good of himself. Although they looked like they were friends, the fact was, they don't respect each other. Monsters need humans to grow their towns and humans also need these monsters to collect herbs for them in this vast forest.

"I don't know what his race he is, but one thing I was sure, he is the strongest subordinate I got, haha." Avalon said with a smug face.

Hearing his answer, adventurers had the urge to this guy to death. As for the merchant, he was shaking his head with a sigh.

"THUD"

The gate finally opened, all of them shifted their gaze at the opened gate. There, they saw a group of eight monsters. After seeing them, all of them excluding Avalon have a dumbfounded look on their faces. They saw trolls who were evil to their core and won't bow to anyone. Furthermore, the proud Minotaurs who even more so won't bow to anyone was in the group. Moreover, the dark elves, who were even more secretive. They guessed, that the village must be a half dark elves settlement since they only saw half dark elves at the watchtower.

Pureblood elves won't take any half-blood elves in their kingdom, so the latter settled in the Salabid Forest to keep on living. Since they can't settle in the humans and demi-humans kingdom, as both sides nobles see them as their plaything. Didn't have a choice, some half-blood elves settled in the Salabid Forest.

"Captain, I'm not seeing things right?" The thief asked with a doubtful voice.

"You're not... I can't also believe what I'm seeing right now... How can these monsters, coexist in one place?" The captain said, the rest of the adventurers nodded in agreement.

"I can't also believe it myself, at first. But as you can see, my subordinate did it. Isn't he amazing? hahaha." Avalon lough, with his smug face.

Hearing it, the group looked at Avalon, like he was an idiot. The first to calm down was the merchant he composed himself, then smile before shifting his gaze to Fendrel's group. However, his smile froze upon seeing them closer followed by the adventurer group, seeing some familiar faces.

The merchant hurriedly walk closer and said. "Carl why are you here!! And where is Miss Sansa!!, why is she not with you?!! What happened, tell me!" The merchant barrage Carl with questions. He did not recognize Sansa who was on Carl's side, since she was wearing a mask right now.

"Adrian! calm down!... I will tell you what happened, but you need to calm down first." Carl said.

Hearing Carl, Adrian calms himself down.

"You really did not saw, this beautiful girl at my side." Carl said, putting his arm around Sansa.

Shifting his gaze to the woman, besides Carl. The woman was wearing a mask, covering half of his face, so he did not recognize her.

"Is that really you, Miss Sansa?" Adrian said, looking at Sansa's face, which got covered with the mask. For some reason, he has a bad feeling about it.

"It's me... Uncle Adrian." Sansa said while looking at the ground.

"Wait what happened to your face, why you are wearing a mask."

"Uncle Adrian, I will tell you later on our way home. But for now, you're here to make a trade with my benefactor. So please, Uncle Adrian." Sansa said lowly.

Hearing Sansa, Adrian calmed, he looked at Fendrel and said. "Sorry for that, Lord..."

"Fendrel... Don't mention it, Sansa also helped me a lot. So, seeing her reunited with his family, makes me happy for him." Fendrel said.

"Thank you again, Lord Fendrel."

Fendrel just smiles hearing him, he then invited them to come in. "Let's go inside, to start our trade."
