Conquering The Game's World

Chapter 248: Work Well Together!

Prince Thomas stepped forward, his golden hair catching the light of his white flames, which licked along the shaft of his spear. His expression was calm, but his aura burned with intensity.

"Everyone, formation! Let's take it down together!" Thomas ordered.

Kerry, Gale, and Storm flanked him without hesitation. Behind them, Rura, her long red hair tied back, already had an arrow nocked, the tip glowing with a runic fire spell.

The Cyborg Goblin's cannon arm whirred and suddenly unleashed a hail of bullets.

"Scatter!" Gale shouted.

The team dove in all directions. Sparks flew as bullets ricocheted off stone. One grazed Kerry's shoulder, but she rolled behind cover, gritting her teeth.

"Back me up!" Thomas roared.

He charged in, his white flames igniting fully, trailing along the length of his spear like a comet. He thrust forward with a blinding strike.

The goblin raised its arm to block, and the metal sizzled as the white flames seared it.

"Keke!"

Cyborg Goblin sneered and punched out with its other arm, aiming for Thomas' head.

Thomas ducked under it and swept the spear across its legs, forcing the cyborg to step back, but not before releasing a shock pulse.

*Boom!*

The energy blast knocked Thomas backwards, but the spear in his hand blocked the damage. He skidded across the floor and landed on one knee.

Storm and Kerry were already behind the goblin, striking in tandem. Storm used twin blades, dancing in and out, while Kerry used a chained mace, slamming it into the goblin's side.

"Rura, now!" Kerry called.

"Got it!" Rura replied, losing a flaming arrow. It struck the goblin's back, erupting in a small explosion.

The monster snarled!

"Burn, you tin-faced freak!" Kerry muttered.

The Cyborg Goblin raised its arm again, and this time, dozens of Mini Bots scuttled out of the walls, glowing red eyes blinking.

"They're deploying bots!" Gale warned.

"Hold them off!" Thomas shouted. "Rura's potion is in effect! The Provocation isn't working!" He was very excited, as he rushed ahead again.

The goblin let out a digital screech. Trying to provoke them.

But the team held firm. The potion Rura had given them before the fight dulled their emotions and kept their minds sharp.

Gale summoned wind blades to slice through the bots. "We've got the little ones! Focus on the big guy!"

Thomas's white flames blazed higher. "Then let's finish this!"

He leapt forward, flames spiralling around his spear. "Piercing Sunlight Strike!"

The spear pierced through the Cyborg Goblin's cannon arm, shattering it in a burst of sparks and molten metal. The creature screeched and staggered back.

Kerry and Storm came in from both sides, slamming their weapons into its body. Gale's wind magic burst upward from beneath, launching the monster slightly into the air.

Rura's final arrow, now glowing with triple-layered fire runes, sailed through the air, hitting the exposed core in the goblin's chest!

A massive explosion of light and fire rocked the chamber.

The Cyborg Goblin let out a warped, fizzled shriek. It collapsed with a heavy metallic crash, smoke rising from its broken body.

---

Thomas lowered his spear, breathing hard. "We did it!"

The excited smile on his face was hard to hide. He looked at Kerry, Gale, Storm and spoke. "I didn't expect! You guys are pretty good!"

He never thought they would work together so well. At this moment, he had the idea of accepting them as his subordinates.

"We just followed the Prince!" Kerry and the others said with excited yet humbled expressions.

Thomas gave a satisfied nod, then looked at Rura with an intoxicated look.

"Rura, we worked together so well. Without your support, we might not have been able to defeat it."

Rura shook her head and said, "I just did what I should. It's the Prince who is impressive."

Thomas was delighted by Rura's compliments, but he maintained a humble grin. "It's because everyone worked together well."

"Um, are we forgetting someone?" Kerry, on the side, hesitated and reminded. She could see that Prince Thomas and Alex were at odds with each other. But if they don't help him now, he might die.

Thomas looked at the unconscious Alex with an entangled look. If they were alone, he wouldn't hesitate to kill him, but not now.

He doesn't want to leave a bad impression on Rura.

He sighed and spoke. "Just let the rescue staff handle him. In his current state, he can't continue to participate in the test."

Rura and the other nodded at his words. Right then, Frank and Rover, wearing Rescue Staff uniform, appeared in front of them holding a stretcher.

"We will take him back. You can continue with the test."

No one was suspicious and let the rescue staff take Alex away.

Thomas looked at Rura and suggested. "Rura, I think our teams work perfectly well together. Why don't we cooperate?"

Rura rolled her eyes at his abacus, but didn't refuse. The others looked at each other and smiled.

***

In the Raging Desert Zone.

High in the sky, a beautiful silhouette was gliding across the sandy winds, looking at the terrain below. From time to time, whenever she finds a horde of monsters gathered together, she would stop and observe.

This person was none other than Alicia. Who was making full advantage of her flight skill to look for monsters, take aerial advantage to launch attacks and harvest a lot of points.

Soon she found a group of Steaming Monkey (E-D Rank).

She immediately sent a signal and her position to her team.

"Ice Field!"

"Ice Bind!"

First, she used Ice Field to cover the area of the entire horde. Then, she used Ice Bind to tie them up.

Whenever she found a Steaming Monkey about to escape from the bind. She would use Ice Blades to attack them. If it's strong, she would injure them. If weak, she would directly kill it.

Later, when her teammates arrive. She would work together with them to kill all the Steaming Monkeys.
