Chapter 8: She is gone ?
Scene Shift – Hospital Lobby
At the front desk, two sharply dressed men in charcoal suits and trench coats entered with quiet authority.
They weren't police.
They weren't hospital staff.
They were Nayan's people.
"Dr. Aagartha Kashyap," one of them asked. "Can you tell us where she is right now?"
The receptionist looked at them nervously. "Oh, she just left ten minutes ago. She said she was heading home. I think to the parking—"
Before the sentence could finish, the glass door burst open.
The Italian Syndicate had arrived.
Three men in coats. No questions asked.
The tension was instant.
OneSky's agents reached for their weapons inside their coats.
So did the Syndicate's.
And then—
The sound of a single gunshot ripped through the air like thunder.
What followed was chaos.
People screamed. The hospital sirens blared.
Gunfire exploded through the sterile halls.
Patients and staff dove to the ground as the OneSky agents shielded themselves, trying to secure Uttaraayan, who was still unconscious in the ICU wing.
They fired back, covering the stretch between the hallway and the emergency wing. Bullets ricocheted off walls, shattered windowpanes, and lights burst in flickers.
The Italian group, ruthless and ready, pushed forward.
One of their men shouted in Italian,
> "Trovatelo! Prendete il ragazzo e uccidete chiunque lo ostacoli!"
(Find him! Take the boy and kill anyone in the way!)
But OneSky had anticipated the attack.
While the battle erupted in the corridor, a secret third exit was activated in the ICU unit.
One of the female agents calmly wheeled a locked-down medical bed that carried Uttaraayan—face masked, IV still running—into a concealed service elevator.
Their plan was already in motion.

Meanwhile – In the Alley Outside
A dark SUV screeched to a halt at the emergency entrance of the hospital.
Three masked men jumped out.
One of them was Sahil Singh.
He barked into his earpiece, "We've got no visual on Dr. Aagartha! She's not at her apartment either!"
Then another voice cut in.
"The tracker shows she's still in the parking lot, sir. But… something's off."
"Scan the footage!" Sahil ordered.
Surveillance flickered on a screen in their van.
It showed a man in a black coat dragging an unconscious figure toward an unmarked van. The timestamp was just five minutes ago.
Sahil's eyes widened.
"Shit. They have her."
He immediately called the emergency line to Nayan. "Sir. We've lost Dr. Aagartha."
Silence on the line.
Then Nayan's voice came through, calm but razor-sharp.
"Secure my brother first. Then trace every vehicle that left that lot in the last 7 minutes. I want roads blocked. CCTV pulled. Drones in air. She is NOT to be touched. Not even a scratch."
"Understood, sir."
Sahil's face was pale.
They were too late.

Scene Shift – Back of the Van
Aagartha lay unconscious, her hair disheveled and coat slightly stained. Her badge had fallen somewhere in the scuffle.
The van moved swiftly through the city's darkened industrial outskirts.
Inside the van, the masked man who took her removed his cap, looking at her.
No remorse.
Only duty.
His phone buzzed.
"Boss," he said in Italian,
> "L'abbiamo presa. Senza testimoni."
(We have her. No witnesses.)
From the other side, a voice coldly replied,
> "Buono. Mandatela all'oblio prima che lui la trovi. Nessuna pietà."
(Good. Send her into oblivion before he finds her. No mercy.)
And the van continued to disappear into the night.
