Classroom of The Elite: Revenge

Chapter 6: Chapter 6: Achieving Objectives [Rewritten]

[3rd April]

[Kurushima Pov]

The school began as usual. The lessons started, and while I was looking at my phone, it coincidentally flipped out of my hand.

Everyone looked at the depicted Private Points in complete shock.

Damn, they saw my Points.

What do I do?

Nothing.

I can do nothing.

Nothing.

The only thing I can do is explain everything.

That's easy to say.

I should try my hardest to convince them.

"K-Kurushima-kun, your Points..." Sato-san looked at me in shock.

"...are so low..." She continued, expressing my biggest worry to everyone out or not.

[Private Points: 16.320]

It's just as I expected.

Of course, the reason I didn't have these Private Points currently, is because they weren't transferred to me, yet. Just like when you transfer from your Bank Account a certain amount of Money to someone else, it'll also take a couple of days until that Money arrives.

While in Banks you cannot specify really when you want the Money to arrive at the opposite party, this school however has this option. I could just now transfer to Ayanokoji per example, in five minutes, 2,000 Private Points, or in Ten Seconds, if I wanted it.

After all, unlike Banks, where it's connected through the entire country and international, this Point System has up to 600 People who can use it, primarily consisting out of students, also however, the Teachers and Staff Members are also able to use it.

There's no fee for that fast transfer or anything else, in comparison like reality, where Banks want such a Fee. Because of that, it's also easy to fool others, and creating a Facade, of one being careless and struggling with Money.

Although I admit, I certainly have trouble spending Money, I don't have that amount of problem. 50,000 Yen, perhaps 60,000 Yen, but that'd be the limit. Showing however other's that even someone who is 'Perfect' has struggles, sympathy can easily be gained.

Of course, I'm everything else than perfect, I'm rather imperfect, however, they can't know that, because while I might be ready to reveal a couple of things of me, I'd never even think of trying on revealing my Past, to gain advantage, somehow.

For them, I'm Top-Scorer Kurushima Kaoru, both intelligent, academically perfect, athletic, popular, good-looking, and blessed with a rich heritage. People are bound to get jealous, because nobody likes someone who doesn't had at least a personal struggle in life, yet.

Money Managing Problems show that you're at least irresponsible in that regard. Besides, I rather create now the thing of being "poor", so that no one ever thinks of having to check my Private Points, in case the Class might be in a situation, where they're needed.

I can just excuse myself, saying I don't have them, and they'd probably believe me. I'm already in Class something like second-in-command, even though I did not do anything in particular, so becoming the Leader itself should be pretty easy.

For that, some things still have to be solved, though.

Matsushita, one of the girls, was the first one to speak up, after Sato. "Kurushima-kun, you have less than 20.000 Points."

"Kurushima-kun, there are always ways to earn additional Points," Chabashira-sensei said.

Of course, I was able to decipher her true 'meaning', however currently, Kurushima Kaoru, doesn't know what the S-System is, yet. I'll wait at least a week, and use several things as a means to justify the theory, once announced.

As it is now, they won't believe me, and might continue their reckless and irresponsible behavior further. The chances are also ready that it might spread further, so I'll rather not help the other classes, at all.

"Kurushima-kun, if you want, I can lend you a couple of thousand Points," Sato said, followed by Matsushita, Mori, and a couple of more girls.

"Ah, that's not necessarily, really."

"Kurushima-kun, if you also want, I... uh.... can also lend you some Points," Ayanokoji said.

"Yeah, the same goes for us, too. It must be hard for you, as the heir of a conglomerate only to have 100.000 Yen, in a month."

Of course, I knew someone of them yesterday would reveal it, so I rather tell the class through other means that I'm an heir, by not doing it myself.

It's just a couple of easy manipulation tactics, that are not even worth mentioning. A gesture, a certain word, or your behavior in general, everything can be used, to manipulate others. I'm rather good at being unnoticeable, in general, I believe.

"C-c-conglomerate? Kurushima-kun? You are an heir," Kushida shouted through the whole classroom, everyone having heard it now.

"Then that makes sense, why he only has less than 20.000 Points," Yamauchi exclaimed, thinking I was someone with money problem managing.

Well...

...

I'm kind of...

But also not...

I'm in the middle.... rather.

"For real?" Ike exclaimed, surprised and continued talking.

"Then, how did you girls find it out? Did he tell you that, to make himself more popular? Woaahh, how...oy, Yamauchi, tell me a good word. I don't know find one which I could use."

"Oy, Ike, I got the word you're searching for. It's dreadful. Don't thank me, bro," Yamauchi and Ike conversed, and suddenly Ike shouted.

"How dreadful of you, Kurushima-kun!"

Probably, he wants to release his frustration of me being an 'Ikemen', who gets the attention of the girls from the class and the other classes, too. Since a situation like this was created, the boys who were in general jealous of me, tagged along with Ike.

"Did Kurushima-kun really tell them that? Woah, and here I thought he would be different than Koenji-kun. He isn't in fact, after all..." One of the boys exclaimed.

I should do my part now, shouldn't I? Hirata, I got a strange feeling from you, so I want to confirm it, actually. If I'm being pressured right now, what'll you do? Stand up for me?

For Sudo, who didn't want to introduce himself, you were quickly becoming apologetic, after the other's pressured him on doing so.

If I had to guess, you feel guilty because of something happening in your past, don't you? But well, if you resolve this small conflict, it'll be better.

"Everyone it's not like that, you have to belie—" Of course, I could feel someone interrupting me.

They weren't going to let me speak, and neither did I have the intention. I was just waiting how long Hirata would take, to resolve it.

She joined the battle, it seems. Taking advantage of this kind of situation, you are really someone with two faces, Kushida. "Is that really true, Kurushima-kun?"

"Isn't he even worse than Koenji-kun? At least he admitted it," One of the boys said.

"And here I thought he was a kind person. It appears like we were all fooled by him. Thank you, Ike-kun," One of the other boys said, in a thankful manner to Ike.

Ike looked proud, yet somehow troubled. He probably didn't have the intention of letting the Situation deescalate like that.

While this might be currently rather bad, it can also easily develop into an opportunity, because those who framed me will feel guilty, afterwards.

"Kurushima-kun, did you really uh...do that?" Ayanokoji-kun asked, still having his stoic tone.

"Kurushima-kun, say something!" One of the boys demanded.

Suddenly, a loud voice echoed throughout the whole classroom. "Stop!" Hirata said, seeing how I was looking down on the table, having given up my defense.

I was right, after all, wasn't I? I'm nearly almost right with all my observations, but I also had a few... failures, in the past.

"All of you're pressuring Kurushima-kun, for something he hasn't done. It's abhorrent from all of you, who were participating in this stupid conversation to begin with. To make it clear to everyone. I was the one who found it out yesterday."

"When I and Kurushima-kun, alongside Karuizawa-san, Matsushita-san, Mei-san...and Sato-san were eating in the cafeteria, I found the correlation between Koenji-kun and Kurushima-kun out."

"I asked Kurushima-kun and just as the kind person Kurushima-kun is, he answered me honestly. His and Koenji-kuns parents are acquaintances. Isn't that right, Koenji-kun?"

"Hirata-boy nailed it. It's one hundred percent the truth, that the Koenji family and the Kurushima family are acquaintances," Koenji replied.

I wonder, did he perhaps guess my true intention? No—I doubt that. He might be observant, but he isn't that observant.

"Based on that, I concluded that Kurushima-kun is an heir similar to Koenji-kun. And to my misfortune—I announced it at the table, where we were all sitting at. If I knew you guys would go after Kurushima-kun, after baseless assumptions, I would have tried my hardest to keep it a secret. I'm so sorry, Kurushima-kun," Hirata said, doing a slight bow.

I admit, I feel bad... I mean, I was incinerating this situation, but I didn't expect to feel guilty. I'm also just human, after all.

But soon, I'll become definitely a Monster... Then there'll be no turning point, anymore...

Many people who questioned me became apologetic, in particular Ike, who started all this. Although I expected this, kind of.

If it wasn't him, someone else would have said it.

"Kurushima-kun, I'm really sorry. When I said this, I wasn't thinking straight..." Ike said, being the first one to apologize to me.

"I'm also sorry, Kurushima-kun," Kushida said.

"Yeah, me too," Yamauchi replied.

"Kurushima-kun, I'm... uh also sorry," Ayanokoji expressed.

For the remaining minute, I heard apology after apology, and people in general viewed me now differently. They felt guilty of what they did, because of baseless assumptions.

Okay, now is the perfect time to reply. Let your charm play, Kurushima Kaoru.

"Don't worry, everyone. Mistakes can happen, right? I'm just glad, we've cleared away that problem. And also, I apologize for not being honest about my origins. I didn't think they'd matter..."

"Kurushima-kun, you shouldn't apologize for something like your origins. And I think I speak for all if I say that," Hirata exclaimed, and now, everyone felt like that, too.

"Yeah, Hirata-kun is right, Kurushima-kun," Karuizawa, who didn't partake in the prior conversation said. She, along the girls did not say anything in particular.

It was just Kushida, who must now feel stupid, right? Anyway, I should bring the class to focus what is necessarily, the lessons.

"Thank you everyone, once again. However, I think we should all focus on the lesson again, or else, Chabashira-sensei might walk away, unbeknown to us."

"Hehe, Kurushima-kun, did you really just said that now? Hehe," Matsushita, alongside some other of my classmates began to laugh, at that small joke of mine.

"Do I have your attention again, Class?" Chabashira-sensei asked

"Yes, Sensei," The majority of the class replied, being the first time focussed on the lesson.

And that's how you manipulate your class, into liking you to a high Scala immediately, without doing all-too much.

I can really be sometimes quite lazy, can I?

Yeah, I wasn't called lazy in the past, for nothing after all.

While this issue was resolved, there was still another one.

The Plan I composed yesterday, was still in motion...

--

[School Campus, Near the Swimming Center]

Once the lessons ended, I walked to the swimming center. By now, soon they should happen to come, and I'll meet Manabu-senpai, I mean, Horikita-senpai.

Of course, I knew they'd come. I told them yesterday practically, where I was.

I'll just have to wait, since they'll be soon expelled, within an hour.

I had to play a few innocent tactics on a female upperclassmen, but I heard, once someone is expelled, they'll stay for one-hour still in school, for packing their things, and buying themselves something, before their phones get confiscated.

Given that Chabashira mentioned all Points are taken back once you graduate, there might be some kind of an encashing system for the school, where you can exchange Points for Yen. I don't know if it's true, but if it is true, the ratio will be low. 1:100, or 1:10. All I know is, it's not 1:1.

So I'll also have the opportunity on buying them myself, on a corresponding good price. But well, I'll have to see, how much it'll be.

Moments later, these three appeared. Of course, they're quite aggravated, because I'm the reason of their expulsion, which they know very well. After all, I published the bullying video, through the PC on the library.

It was during the time Shiina-san was reading, so I took myself the time to program the computer to publish it today, then decided on reading together with her.

A Bond, huh?

Is something like that, even possible for me? Aoki, I'm thinking of trying it, at least. It's your request, after all. You never requested anything until now, so I'll try it. Forming bonds, in the limited time I'm here.

"I-It's you..." The Leader muttered in disdain, interrupting me out of my thoughts. He looked at me in anger, but also in fear.

He learned his lesson, yesterday after all.

"Y-You expelled u-us? W-why? P-Please, we don't want to leave this s-school. C-can you do something? W-we'll do everything. P-please," The leader, and the two others, begged. They were clinging their hands around my leg, my clothes, while being on the ground.

Naturally, being expelled isn't something Japanese Companies like to see, they really don't, so it kind of affects your future. In comparison to other countries, this is simply more like a cultural difference.

"P--p-please, I-I s-still w-want to s-stay at this s-school," The leader exclaimed in a tearing state. I could see, not just him, but the other two began to cry, too.

"Can y-you p-please d-do so something, S-Sir?" The second guy exclaimed. His tone was very desperate, because they most likely sprinted here, after they heard what happened.

The dorms, coincidentally also happen in the direction of the Swimming Center, so no suspicion, of myself, being in the wrong location.

"And why should I do that? What's the benefit of having you three here?" I asked.

"I-Is i-it P-points? W-we s-still h-have some. And we can give you f-far more," The leader proposed. The two others nodded alongside him.

I simply looked at the camera, nearby.

As of right now, our conversation shouldn't be hearable, so low they're speaking. Everything is going as I initially thought.

I had left them 1 Private Point each remaining, but seeing them, they have apparently bullied some other people, after I've beaten them up, haven't they?

Even in their last moments in this school, they remained bullies. It truly is a shame. However, it's not surprising.

When you read how they have saved their contacts as 'Cash Cow', following with their surname, to know who it was, among their couple of contacts, saved like that, I figured they wouldn't stop bullying after I beat them up.

Of course, if the thing with the [Record Entry] had to work, they had to at least have 1 Private Point, so I left them with that much.

How kind of me, right?

But they really thought there would be no consequences for them, aside from losing their Points. Unfortunately, I'm not that kind.

Nevertheless, I should focus myself on the most important part, the soon-to-be allotment of the Points, to time it perfectly. If in the same time you transfer your Private Points per Student ID, and at the same time get them allotted on your phone, instead of two, just one [Record Entry] is created.

In other words, I created an Alibi, that I didn't transfer them yesterday to me, but just got them now, when I was walking to the dormitories, after my lessons.

As to why, I'm sure many have heard of me, because I'm not just an "anonymous conglomerate heir", but one of the largest in whole Japan.

Of course, some have heard of me, some didn't, but for those who heard of me, they naturally would come to me, if expulsion is in line.

It's quite logical, is it not?

I took advantage of my position, and will fool Horikita-senpai in that regard, through this. Also, I'll take this opportunity and try on joining the Student Council.

All while Kurushima Kaoru is known as a kind and caring guy, who wants to save the future of three people who he doesn't know of and randomly approached him.

Of course, this isn't the only measure I took.

Before I walked to them, I made sure I wasn't seen anyway near, so I had let the surveillance camera record me of entering a toilet, soon after, leaving, without the camera recording me.

I did it on one of the old cameras, the school had not renewed yet, so it was easy done, as it would rotate itself sometimes, in a given interval of two minutes, for ten seconds.

I'm a bit overly cautious, but well, I can't help it. I intend on having a perfect facade in front of everyone, so there should be no reason of having anyone get suspicious of me, at all.

Since extorting one's Private Points is illegal, naturally, I simply created a situation where I acquire them, legally, as they're allotting them on their 'own', in terms of anyone's perspective.

The school would see it that way, and also, Horikita Manabu, would see it like that.

Of course, I had to make sure, they'd be allotted in the given interval, because even one second late, would show it differently, on the [Record Entry]

Here is how it'd look like in that case:

[Record Entry:]

[2nd April, 14.17, forty-five seconds] — [3rd April, 15.24, twelve seconds]

[Allotment: 3.865.969]

Also, there would be a separate Record Entry, with the remaining Private Points, of that Person.

[3rd April, 15.24, thirteen seconds]

[Allotment: 1]

But if it's done within the proper interval, it would be like this:

[3rd April, 15.24, twelve seconds]

[Allotment: 3.865.970]

Namely, since I do not have any idea what their current Private Points are, I have just to go with the idea, that just 1 Private Point remains. If they have more, the amount will be different.

Unmistakably, an Alibi, that proves you just got them, as long as someone else does not know of this method.

But believe me, I tried so many different things, yet this method, crossed my mind, just out of a whim, what would happen, if two [Record Entires] were created at the same time.

Of course, the only thing left is having them execute it. Through the whole time, I'm considering the time, and the proper interval, when I should let them allocate them.

Because this school was rather special, regarding the transfer of Points.

The leader instantly took my hand, where I offered a bit of resistance, until it was the proper time and I allowed him to put his phone above mine.

It was just like phone numbers, a very simple process.

Just go to the option [Allotment], then [Phone-to-Phone] and then [Amount:] in which you could either type some amount or choose this option, [Maximum]. And instantly, it's allotted.

I tested it, of course, very often. It works, without a mistake. By now, I easily was able to time it.

Then it was the turn for the second guy, where I had let him to this, within the proper interval, likewise with the Third Guy, too.

I tapped my phone and it showed me now this amount for my Private Points.

[Kurushima Kaoru:]

[Private Points: 8.896.722]

They extorted Private Points, after all, again. I had 16,320 Private Points, today, and yesterday, 29,400. However, since I decided on showing my class that I was "poor", I reduced them to this pitiful amount.

Manipulating the entire class with just having your phone "falling" down, it sure is easy. I could have spared these Points, but I bought myself in return a few other things.

But it sure is interesting. They gained within just one simple day, 178.992 Private Points, huh?

In the end, they used their physical superiority against others, again. And now, they are in the same position as their victims.

The only difference is, I'm a much crueler person than they could ever be.

I gave them three pieces of paper, which they quickly opened. However, to their surprise, the only thing that was depicted there was a number.

A false one, though.

I looked at them unconsciously with a small grin and a friendly smile.

"Upon expulsion, call that number. Someone from my acquaintances will contact you, and tell you what to do. Simple, isn't it?" I replied, with a smile.

However, I think they have realized their situation. If not, they're going to realize it, in the moment the number doesn't exist.

"They're here," A voice, from about ten-meter in distance, stated. It was a familiar one, that of the Student Council President, Horikita Manabu.

He looked at the scene occurring right in front of him in surprise and bewilderment. Alongside some guards, he made his way in my direction.

They reached our precise location. The guards even though surprised, simply did their job, and dragged these three with them away.

Suddenly, Horikita Manabu spoke. "You're..."

"Kurushima Kaoru, first-year student," I replied, as I gracefully did a bow.

"You are that student? The one who scored in the entrance exams a perfect score, that nobody since the foundation of this school could ever achieve. Impressive."

"I suppose, I'm that student, Horikita-senpai," I responded.

"If I'm allowed to ask, what happened here?" Horikita-senpai began to question me.

"Well, I'm also quite confused, Horikita-senpai."

"Upon the end of the lessons, I made my way to the dormitories, until I saw these three people approaching me. They claimed they knew me from a newspaper article about me inheriting the conglomerate of my family in the future."

"It was strange, honestly. They requested from me a kind of insurance for their future because, in a few minutes, they would be expelled from the school," Horikita-senpai's expression shifted up to one of surprise, as I spoke up.

"Their future? Insurance? Conglomerate? Hmm, it does make sense upon expulsion to try to ensure their future, if possible," Horikita-senpai concluded.

"Ahem, please elaborate further, Kurushima."

"Well, they began to cling onto my legs, insisting that I would be able to save and ensure their future."

"However, the next thing they did, surprised me. One of them forcefully took my hand, and put my phone under his. Transferring his whole Points to me, which the other two also did."

"However, I felt somehow obligated to help them, after seeing their desperate attempts in front of me. So, I gave them the number of my butler, who currently handles the conglomerates' affairs."

"So, to clarify, they gave you their Points and in return, you gave them a job in your conglomerate," Horikita-senpai exclaimed.

"Horikita-senpai, I think you're mistaken in some aspects. So, I'm going to elaborate on those further. To make it clear, I didn't give them in return for Points the opportunity to apply to my conglomerate. It's because I could see their desperate attempts to ensure their future, which I couldn't understand, honestly."

"Foremost, even if they apply to my conglomerate, it doesn't mean they get the job. For them to be appointed by the conglomerate, they need to provide their worth, to the conglomerate. I simply gave them a chance, nothing more. Whether they take it or not, is up to them."

"That's valid, I guess. Whether they do take this opportunity or not, is up to them. But, I want to thank you, for your act of kindness," He expressed.

It almost looked like he seemed to care about them? I most likely got it wrong, though.

Suddenly Horikita-senpai spoke up again, having an expectant look directed at me. "Also, I've got a question for you, Kurushima."

"Do you want to join the student council?"

"Uhm...Horikita-senpai, didn't you say in the entrance ceremony, the student council doesn't need any naïve people on it? I could somehow also be categorized as naïve, wouldn't you say so?"

"Well, I indeed said that. However, I'm not viewing you as a naïve person, Kurushima. You are perfectly suited to join the Student Council. So? What do you say?"

"I'm not going to deny that offer, Horikita-senpai. However, am I not required to do the basic procedure, such as a proper interview?"

"Normally, that would be the case. However, I'm doing in your case an exception."

"Am I allowed to ask a question, Senpai?" I asked, gauging out his sudden motivation of recruiting me.

"Go ahead," Horikita-senpai replied.

"Why the sudden interest? I'm not someone who would be able to arouse your interest, I believe?"

"Hmmm, let's say, the conversation here and another aspect made me interested in you," he exclaimed.

"I assume, you mean my question about the exact amount of Points. Or my question whether the school offers a memorandum. Or, perhaps both?" I expressed, watching his facial expression intensely, as I simply declared an assumption of mine out.

"It seems like the student council president can view the cameras in the first-year classroom. It's very surprising, honestly," I announced, wherein Horikita-senpai raised an eyebrow in surprise.

"You do have quite the imagination, Kurushima."

"I guess I have. Such as this one too, Horikita-senpai," I said, as he burrowed his eyebrow in surprise, waiting for another suspicion of mine.

"And what would that be?" he asked, his tone filled with seriousness.

"Perhaps the fact that neither the teacher's nor the seniors or sophomores are answering my questions explicitly, inclining that they are forbidden to speak further about this matter," I elaborated.

"Oho, quite the amusing imagination you've, Kurushima."

"Indeed," I responded, as we both stared at us in the eyes.

"Since this conversation won't bring us further, I suggest, we exchange phone numbers and make an appointment when my work in the student council starts," I suggested, waiting for his reply.

"That's a valid reason," he expressed, giving me his phone number.

"Tachibana, my secretary will contact you with further details," Horikita-senpai said, walking away.

A bit later, I decided to check my phone.

[Record Entry]

[3rd April, 15.24, twelve seconds]

[Allotment: 3.948.362]

(3.865.970 (P) + 82.392 (C) )

[Record Entry 2]

[3rd April, 15.24, sixteen seconds]

[Allotment: 2.289.365]

(2.222.765 (P) + 66.600 (C) )

[Record Entry 3]

[3rd April, 15.24, twenty seconds]

[Allotment: 2.642.712]

(2.612.712 (P) + 30.000 (C) )

"That was, a rather unusual day. But everything went according to Plan. My reputation in the class is indefinitely higher, to the point, where does who didn't like me, like me, because of me being humble and forgiving of them."

"As for Horikita Manabu, I'll make sure to use this opportunity, which you have given me. Thank you, for acting as I expected, Horikita-senpai."

With a slight satisfied smile, I walked to the dormitories.

A/N: And this concludes the Chapter?

Unlike the previous version, I made this now in one chapter, not in two Chapters. Also, here's also Kurushima's manipulation of the class shown, which wasn't in the original. He manipulated them, but it was never mentioned.

As for the second Plan, considering that ANHS is a school built upon preparing their student's for the outside world, Record Entries should definitely exist there.

He thought of a method of gaining an Alibi, in case, they'd try on saying, we were "threatened", because according to the school's perspective, with the cameras, they forced Kurushima, taking his wrist and allocating it forcefully to him, guilt tripping him, into giving them future chances.

As for the Record Entry, it just proves in the end, that he wasn't yesterday "there", actually.

Anyways, how did you find this chapter and the plans that I devised?

And what is your initial impression of Kurushima?

I am really curious, honestly.

PS: This is for now the End of the Rewritten Chapters. I'll write some of them anew perhaps, but I wanted to rewrite these really.

Tip: You can use left, right, A and D keyboard keys to browse between chapters.
