Myriad Buddhas Island—As the light of the transmission formation lit up, Lin Shiming's figure appeared on the island.

Stepping onto Myriad Buddhas Island, Lin Shiming's mind grew taut with vigilance.

This place was unlike any other; True Monarchs resided here. Should anyone harbor ill intentions toward him, it would indeed pose a genuine threat.

Most crucially, his system's notifications had yet to refresh, and even when they did, it would likely concern the black demon crystal.

Still, Lin Shiming had no choice but to come here sooner rather than later.

The transmission formation of Myriad Buddhas Island was immensely vast; right in front of it stood an enormous Buddhist hall.

Behind the hall lay eleven hundred and eleven grand Buddhist mountains.

On each mountain stood numerous Buddha statues, and apart from the mountains' surroundings, there were also dozens of smaller sub-islands.

The scenery was even more magnificent than Heavenly Earth Island in the Heavenly Illumination Sea Domain.

The island was heavily populated with monks—some undergoing ascetic practices, others engaged in meditation.

Even a cursory sweep with Divine Sense revealed Foundation Establishment and Purple Mansion cultivators.

Moreover, Myriad Buddhas Island defied convention: here, the simpler one's appearance, the stronger they likely were.

Everyone preferred to conceal their cultivation level.

Yet, such concealment was insufficient before Lin Shiming.

After all, his Divine Sense now rivaled the strongest among those below Nascent Soul.

Coupled with recent breakthroughs in his sword domain.

He couldn't help but feel a twinge of regret—had he stayed longer at Gold Jade Mountain for enlightenment, his sword domain might have neared minor completion.

This would have elevated his strength by yet another level.

Without opposition from a Buddha Domain practitioner to contend with, advancing his sword domain further would now rely on his Spirit Light deductions.

However, Lin Shiming possessed only one Spirit Light deduction, which he intended to save for Lin Shitao to refine her alchemy skills.

He hoped she could successfully craft a Nascent Transformation Pill.

This wasn't the first time he allocated his deducing resources to Lin Shitao.

It was the reason her success rate in refining Gold Condensation Pills had grown so high.

As for the Formation Artifact Manual, at this point, its utility in boosting alchemy had diminished significantly.

"Daoist Lin, it has been many days since we last crossed paths. Your cultivation has progressed brilliantly, putting those of us whose lives revolve around ascetic diligence to shame!"

From afar, a monk clad in golden robes approached him.

He held a Buddha staff in hand, his expression calm and composed.

"Senior Golden Light," Lin Shiming greeted politely.

"Enough of 'senior' and 'senior'—we've all already accepted you, Daoist Lin. Are you telling me you've yet to accept us?" The Golden Light True Buddha spoke slowly.

"Certainly not," Lin Shiming shook his head in reply.

"Then call me Daoist Golden Light, or Old Bald Donkey—that's what Daoist Blood Coral calls me," the Golden Light True Buddha joked.

But Lin Shiming shook his head repeatedly.

He would, of course, never fully trust the words of Golden Light True Buddha.

"Daoist Lin, follow me to the Hall of Sentient Beings," Golden Light True Buddha said, brushing his robe's sleeve as he motioned for Lin Shiming to follow him toward the Buddhist hall nearby.

Their movements were swift—although calm and unhurried, each step spanned dozens of miles.

Upon entering the Buddhist hall, Golden Light True Buddha guided Lin Shiming to a particular Buddha statue.

"Daoist Lin, you've recently indulged in excess slaughter. It would be good for you to offer a few sticks of incense to Buddha," Golden Light True Buddha advised.

He spoke slowly, with no sign of coercion.

Lin Shiming nodded—not because his Dao Heart had faltered.

Rather, his Dao Heart revolved around family loyalty; whether bowing to Buddha or deities, as long as it benefitted his family, his Dao Heart remained unshaken.

Lin Shiming retrieved sandalwood incense and respectfully bowed before the Buddha statue.

The incense emitted an exceptionally pleasant fragrance that, upon entering his nostrils, brought profound relaxation to his mind and body.

His expression grew dignified.

With a solemn bow, Lin Shiming suddenly experienced an extraordinary phenomenon—the sensation of blood-red light emanating from his being. Moments later, the light condensed into threads of blood before quickly disappearing before the Buddha.

"Has the evil qi been purified?" Lin Shiming murmured in astonishment.

He hadn't anticipated Golden Light True Buddha to grant him such a karmic opportunity.

His evil qi dissipated.

When Lin Shimo made his breakthrough, Lin Shiming had grown concerned. After all, he had committed many killings.

Though his evil qi hadn't manifested outwardly yet, it undoubtedly lurked within him, ready to erupt at any moment.

If unregulated, it could lead to severe consequences in the future.

Seeing this, Lin Shiming bowed once more, though this time without the prior effect. Nevertheless, he still felt a pervasive lightness throughout his body.

Lin Shiming turned toward Golden Light True Buddha, cupping his hands in gratitude.

"Thank you, Daoist Golden Light."

"No thanks are necessary—this is Buddha's karmic opportunity. Those who believe in Buddha gain it naturally; those who don't, simply don't," Golden Light True Buddha explained, then led Lin Shiming to a side hall.

"Daoist Lin, may I ask what brings you here today?"

"Daoist Golden Light, I've come seeking a Buddha formation to suppress a demonic land," Lin Shiming responded transparently.

Upon hearing this, Golden Light True Buddha's countenance subtly shifted.

"The place you mention—it's overrun with Ancient Demon energy, where demonic radiance blots out the heavens?"

"Indeed. Otherwise, I wouldn't be in such haste. May I ask, Daoist Golden Light, what price you ask for it?"

Lin Shiming spoke directly.

"Ancient Demon Lands are taboo within our realm. As for the Golden Light Salvation Formation, I shall gift it to you!" Golden Light True Buddha replied without hesitation, retrieving a Fifth Rank array plate from his storage bag.

The array plate radiated brilliant golden light as soon as it emerged.

Though Lin Shiming knew little about formations, this was undoubtedly an extraordinary treasure—Golden Light True Buddha's formation set boasted nearly five thousand Buddha formation flags.

Not to mention its intricate array plate and Spirit Patterns.

It was, without a doubt, a priceless formation.

Lin Shiming didn't falter in accepting it; he promptly stowed it away and retrieved his largest piece of Thousand Year Cold Jade from his storage bag.

"Daoist Golden Light, since this formation is something I've taken, I request that you accept this item as well!" Lin Shiming was unwilling to remain indebted.

Though the jade wasn't quite equivalent to the formation in value, the Ancient Demon phenomenon would impact the entire cultivation world.

Nobody could escape its implications.

This mitigated the imbalance somewhat.

"Since Daoist Lin insists, I'll humbly accept this offering!" Golden Light True Buddha took the Thousand Year Cold Jade without resistance.

His expression, however, remained unchanged.

Perhaps, at their level, items like Thousand Year Cold Jade were commonplace.

Even Jade Essence of the same caliber was within their grasp.

This large piece of Thousand Year Cold Jade, therefore, wasn't particularly remarkable.

Its only peculiarity lay in its unusually large size, courtesy of Lin Shiming.

"Daoist Lin, I've heard that your Lin Family's Lin Houshou also studies Buddhist Law. Since you, too, share Buddhistic ties, allow me to offer you this Enlightened King Golden Body Secret Manual!"

"However, this inferior-grade Earth level Buddhist technique comes with two conditions!"

"First, this Buddhist technique is only to be cultivated by those destined for Buddha—not based on aptitude or comprehension!"

"Second, Daoist Lin must aid Myriad Buddhas Island once in the future. Even if you don't take action, as long as you're present, it will suffice!"

"Daoist Golden Light, that is not an issue. But how do you determine who is destined?" Lin Shiming inquired in confusion.

Golden Light True Buddha did not answer; instead, he turned to walk into the Buddhist hall, chanting scriptures.

Lin Shiming understood—it was a sign for him to take his leave.
