Chronicles Of The Twin Guardians.

Chapter 31: The Perilous Journey.

As Jiǎo Lóng stumbled back, Ming's eyes blazed with a fierce determination. "You're going to pay for your betrayal," he growled, his fists flying in a blur of motion.

But just as Ming was about to deliver the final blow, Lyra stepped forward, her eyes shining with a fierce light. "Ming, stop!" she cried, her voice ringing out across the room.

Ming's eyes widened in surprise. "Lyra, what are you doing?" he demanded, his fists still clenched and ready to strike.

Lyra's gaze locked onto Jiǎo Lóng's, a mixture of emotions dancing in their depths. "I know he betrayed us, Ming. But he's my brother."

Ming's face darkened. "That doesn't excuse what he did," he growled, his eyes flashing with anger.

But before Ming could attack again, Jiǎo Lóng took advantage of the distraction. With a swift and deadly motion, he stabbed a poisonous sword into Lyra's side.

Lyra's eyes widened in shock as she stumbled back, her body trembling with pain. Ming's eyes blazed with fury as he rushed to her side, catching her as she fell.

"No!" Ming bellowed, his voice echoing off the stone walls. "You're going to pay for this, Jiǎo Lóng!"

Ming's body began to glow with a fierce, golden light as he summoned all his power. With a swift and deadly motion, he struck Jiǎo Lóng down, his sword slicing through the air with a deadly precision.

Jiǎo Lóng's head rolled across the floor, his eyes frozen in a permanent stare of shock and terror.

But Ming's attention was focused on Lyra, who lay trembling in his arms. "Lyra, no! Don't leave me!" he cried, his voice cracking with emotion.

Ling rushed to their side, his eyes scanning Lyra's wound with a practiced gaze. "We need to get her to the Magical Stream of the Realm of the Immortals," he said, his voice low and urgent.

Ming's eyes narrowed. "What's that?" he demanded.

Ling's gaze locked onto Ming's. "It's a magical stream that has the power to heal even the most deadly of wounds. But it's located in a realm filled with immortals, and getting there won't be easy."

Ming's face set in a determined line. "We'll do whatever it takes to save Lyra."

And with that, the trio set off on their perilous journey, ready to face whatever dangers lay ahead.

As they journeyed through the winding mountains, the trio encountered a myriad of dangers, from ferocious beasts to treacherous terrain.

Ming's eyes gleamed with determination. "We'll get through this, Lyra. I promise."

Lyra's gaze locked onto Ming's, a faint smile playing on her lips. "I know, Ming. I trust you."

Ling's voice was a low, smooth purr. "We make a good team, don't we?"

The trio pressed on, their banter and laughter echoing through the mountains.

But their merriment was short-lived, as they soon found themselves face to face with a group of fierce, demonic creatures.

The creatures were tall and gaunt, their eyes glowing with an otherworldly energy.

Ming's eyes narrowed. "What are these things?"

Ling's gaze locked onto the creatures. "They're Xiǎo Guǐ, minor demons from the underworld."

Lyra's eyes sparkled with determination. "Let's show them what we're made of."

The trio charged forward, their powers surging forth in a spectacular display of light and energy.

Ming's fists flew in a blur of motion, striking the demons with precision and force.

Ling's sword sliced through the air, its blade shimmering with a deadly, ethereal energy.

Lyra's powers surged forth, a maelstrom of light and energy that threatened to consume everything in its path.

The battle was intense, the demons fighting back with ferocity and cunning.

But the trio refused to back down, their powers and skills meshing together in perfect harmony.

In the end, it was the demons who lay defeated, their bodies scattered across the ground.

The trio stood victorious, their chests heaving with exertion.

Ming's eyes gleamed with pride. "We make a pretty good team."

Ling's voice was a low, smooth purr. "We're unstoppable."

Lyra's smile was a fierce, predatory grin. "Let's keep moving. We've got a magical stream to find."

And with that, the trio pressed on, ready to face whatever dangers lay ahead.

As they journeyed deeper into the mountains, the air grew colder and the shadows grew darker.

The trio could feel the weight of the underworld pressing down upon them, the very air thick with malevolent energy.

But they refused to back down, their determination and courage driving them forward.

And then, just as they were starting to lose hope, they saw it - a shimmering, crystal-clear stream that flowed like liquid silver through the heart of the mountains.

Ming's eyes widened in awe. "That's it. That's the Magical Stream of the Realm of the Immortals."

Ling's voice was a low, smooth purr. "And our ticket to saving Lyra."

Lyra's gaze locked onto the stream, a faint smile playing on her lips. "Let's do this."

And with that, the trio stepped forward, ready to face whatever lay ahead...
