“Now could you explain these things to me……..Cyrus?” Demanded Leor with a darkened expression.
“Let me start by introducing myself” said Cyrus in a deep voice, After a moment of pause he continued “as you already understand by now that people in this world have extraordinary abilities…….They are called aetherborns, everyone from humans to animals to plants have a soul, that is what defines their existence and what makes them ‘real’ without it they can’t exist no matter what. The soul has a core which holds their consciousness, and their true self, it also produces life energy which slowly drains averagely in 75 years or in people with exceptional talent at 100. But it can be changed by awakening the stored potential inside oneself…by awakening the Aether core.”
Leor was absorbing everything like a sponge and trying to understand every single word said by Cyrus with utmost seriousness “So how does one awaken their Aether core?” asked Leor at some home, If he had power like The masked man or James in the memory, he could easily escape with his family before tonight.
“It's not as easy as you think” said Cyrus as he read Leor’s thoughts and continued “awakening once Aether core is an extremely dangerous process and more than 40 percent of people explode opening it and 50 percent out of the one that opens it lose themselves to their power and partially become madmen. What you need to do is open all six of your spiritual energy points and make them one….that is what Aether core is. He continued after a few minutes of silence letting Leor know the weight of his words.
“There are six spiritual points in a human’s body, Root gateaway, located on your spine of colour red which works on converting food into life energy with the help of Aether, getaway of Sacral is located just under your navel, coloured orange which produces emotions, desires and flow of Aether, solar plexus, just under your ribcage, coloured yellow which is associated with willpower, self esteem and identity, Getaway of Heart located in centre of your chest, coloured green represents Love and compassion,Gateway of Throat located near throat, coloured blue represents one’s ability communicate their thoughts, feelings and words and finally the main part which allows you to wield Aether as a power is getaway of Third eye, coloured indigo It governs the authority to control one’s Aether, inner wisdom, intuition, insight, perception and ability to see beyond the physical realm into the spiritual realm.”
Now Leor’s mind was trying to make sense out of everything but suddenly he remembered something and asked “How is this related to your introduction?”
“Well first let me finish…..Combining all of the points without exploding results in a pure white aether core from which your body grows used to Aether and eventually awakens an ability, an ability which represents your true self and other uses of Aether include using Aether to reinforce your body or weapon, turning Aether into natural elements and using elementalised Aether for offence or defence and it also can be used to pre program a spell on somewhere or creating talisman and artifacts. But to be honest I still don’t know everything about it and am just telling you these from the things I observed in a few days after my birth.”
“Huh” Leor widened his eyes from this information that Cyrus had revealed about Aether and himself, ‘this guy is only a few days old and is already this smart?’ After a moment of silence Leor side eyed Cyrus and in Cyrus’s defence he got the message.
“As I told you before that how becoming Aetherborn can lead to dire situations of madness is because your special ability is conscious and can help you in many ways if it sees you as a worthy companion and wielder, keyword being worthy, if the ability doesn’t like you or accept you it will keep trying to consume and control you at a single moment of weakness and if consumed that ability will become the host of Aether core and roles will be reversed. At earlier stage it's not a problem but as your Aether core gets purer and reaching your genetic potential you will require as stronger bond with your ability” explained Cyrus, after a bit of contemplating he said in an emotionless tone
“I am the conscious and the power that represents you”
“What” Now Leor was more shocked than ever and after a minute of thought confusion washed over him
“Doesn’t that mean….I am already an Aetherborn”
Suddenly a ring that Leor was wearing started cracking and eventually completely shattered into pieces.
