Chat Group: Reborn as a Celestial Dragon in One Piece

Chapter 94: Chapter 93: A Husband for Oden’s Widow?

Leaving Yamato, who was now suffering from memory loss, in the care of Black Maria and King, Daemon stepped atop Kaido's dragon form and soared through the Wano skies toward the Kozuki estate.

Could he have simply torn open space and arrived instantly?

Absolutely.

But come on—riding a massive dragon is way cooler.

On the way there, the familiar ding of the chat group rang in his ear.

Uchiha Miyuki: "Yo, Nerona Daemon. I heard you made Yamato dumb?"

Daemon: "God made you dumb."

Daemon: "Yamato's already an adult. She probably just got overstimulated—brain's likely shielding itself. It's temporary memory loss, that's all."

Uchiha Miyuki: "Oh, just amnesia. That's fine then!"

Daemon: "…"

Kasumigaoka Utaha: "The Uchiha idiot still loves flirting with death, huh?"

Uchiha Miyuki: "Kidding, kidding!"

Uchiha Miyuki: "By the way, Your Highness Daemon—Eiriri told me you killed Sengoku and then made Kaido an admiral?"

Daemon: "Yeah, Sengoku gave me a look I didn't like, so I killed him. Nothing major."

Uchiha Miyuki: "Tsk tsk, a marine admiral being labeled 'nothing major'… that's so you."

Luo Hao: "Wait—Sengoku is dead? His ability looked a lot like my Vajra Divine Art. Did you get anything interesting from him?"

Daemon: "[Picture]"

He dropped a photo of the reward panel: Powerful Vajra Magic Power. It was almost identical to Luo Hao's.

Luo Hao: "Is this… the same ability? You created a Noble Phantasm with my power?"

Daemon: "Looks that way."

Esdeath: "This multiverse really is fascinating. Powers overlapping like this… makes it even more exciting."

Jibril: "But this Vajra Power seems weak compared to Daemon's current strength. Kind of a dud, right?"

Daemon: "Pretty much. I wiped out almost all of Wano, and most of the loot was trash-tier."

Daemon: "Kozuki Oden's Two-Sword Style and Queen's Arrogant King's Wine are about the best I've picked up here, and even those are just decent toys to me."

Esdeath: "Sounds like you've hit a ceiling. Unless you get a reality-breaking Noble Phantasm, all you'll gain are more attack variations—no real evolution."

Kasumigaoka Utaha: "Must be nice… I'd kill to hit that kind of limit."

Eriri Sawamura: "You already have a ton of strong abilities. I just want one good pull from the next task lottery…"

Saitama: "Eh, doesn't matter to me. I'm more hyped for a proper fight with Daemon. That's what I'm looking forward to."

Esdeath: "Oho? If that fight happens, be sure to stream it!"

Daemon: "Sure, I'll broadcast the entire fight."

Just then, another ping came through.

Luo Hao: "Daemon… there's something I wanted to ask you about."

Daemon raised an eyebrow. He had a good relationship with Luo Hao—after all, they'd done… some close things back in the Naruto world. So her sudden hesitation caught his attention.

Daemon: "What's up? Just say it."

Uchiha Miyuki: "Wait—could this be a confession? Luo Hao was the first to get close to His Highness, but she's been getting sidelined by newcomers. Maybe she's finally had enough!"

Yamamoto Mei: "Can you not think about romance every second? There are other things in life!"

Jibril: "I think it's about the Vajra power. She probably wants to bargain for it."

Luo Hao: "…Correct. I want to try merging it with my current ability using the group's fusion function."

Daemon: "Alright. I don't need it, so if it'll help you, it's yours."

Luo Hao: "Thank you. I'm planning to go after Monkey King—Sun Wukong—next. If a mission comes up, I'll invite you. If not, I'll kill him myself and share whatever drops I get."

Daemon: "Sounds good. Honestly, I would've given it to you for free. We're more than just teammates now."

Luo Hao: "…Still, I don't like owing favors."

Luo Hao: "Regardless, thank you."

Daemon: "[Red envelope] Don't mention it."

Godslayer World – Mount Lu

Luo Hao sat alone, eyes glinting as she stared at the chat screen. "Daemon…"

She whispered his name, cheeks subtly flushed. In that moment, the mighty queen of the East looked less like a Demon King and more like a young woman waiting on her emperor's attention.

I hope this works…

Moments after accepting the red envelope, a chime rang in her ears.

[Ding! Duplicate ability detected. Beginning fusion.]

[Fusion complete. Congratulations—Powerful Vajra Magic Power acquired.]

"…It kept the same name?" she muttered in surprise, opening the ability window. Her expression lit up immediately.

Luo Hao: "The fusion worked!"

Daemon: "Congrats."

Tohsaka Sakura: "Yay~ Congrats, Luo Hao-san!"

Uchiha Miyuki: "Serious upgrade, huh? Think you can beat Woban easily now?"

Luo Hao: "More than easily. Last time I needed Senzu Beans just to survive. Now? That old dog won't last three moves."

Daemon: "The Oldest god slayer? He'll probably come back, but not to your world. Keep an eye out just in case."

Luo Hao: "Got it."

Nakiri Erina: "Congrats, Sister Luo Hao. Looks like your training paid off."

Kasumigaoka Utaha: "And to think we mocked the World Noble… he actually came through."

Daemon: "…I always come through. You just remember me when you're begging next time."

Kasumigaoka Utaha: "Don't say weird things in public chat!"

Eriri Sawamura: "Wait, Mr. Daemon… you already slept with that… big booby girl?"

Jibril: "Who else did you think I meant by 'playing dragon games'? Kaido?"

Eriri Sawamura: "…Fair enough."

Esdeath: "Ugh. Romantic chatter again? Boring. Give me blood and war. I need a real battlefield—these 'revolutionaries' are a joke."

Uchiha Madara: "Agreed. I want world-hopping combat, not babysitting ninjas. The Naruto world is too weak."

Wano Country – Kozuki Residence

Rain clouds gathered over the mountains, casting a heavy shadow across the Kozuki estate. Thunder rumbled in the distance, but the tension inside was heavier than any storm.

Toki stood by the window, her expression troubled, fingers gripping the windowsill tightly. Her heart felt restless, as if something terrible had happened—or was about to.

The sudden crack of thunder startled even the most seasoned retainers. And then… silence. Unnatural, ominous silence.

All of Oden's men—strong, proud warriors—had fallen in an instant. Yet she, and their two children, were unharmed.

Was it really luck? Or something worse?

Toki bit her lip, dread rising in her chest. She had decided—if no word came back from Oden soon, she would use her Time-Time Fruit and send Momonosuke and Hiyori into the future. She couldn't let their bloodline end here.

"Mother, it's okay!" a small voice broke the silence.

Momonosuke entered the room, trying to appear brave. "Father is the strongest samurai in all of Wano. He won't lose to anyone! While he's away, I'll protect you and Hiyori!"

Toki's lips trembled as she smiled warmly at her son. "Momonosuke… you're such a sweet child."

She reached to brush back his hair, but a deafening crash shook the entire house. The floor quaked. Something enormous had just hit the ground outside.

Toki's blood ran cold. "That sound… Was it—an attack?"

She hesitated only briefly before scooping Hiyori into her arms and grabbing Momonosuke's hand. She had to see for herself.

The door creaked open.

And then—her scream tore through the air.

Laid out before her in a grotesque, broken heap… was Kozuki Oden.

His lifeless eyes stared at nothing. His body, once the pride of a nation, now reduced to a bloodied, unrecognizable ruin.

"F-Father…" Momonosuke whispered, frozen.

Toki collapsed to her knees, tears streaming down her face. "No… no, no, Oden!"

Beside them, even young Hiyori went quiet, sensing something irreversibly wrong.

"Hahaha… so this is Oden's son?" A deep, mocking voice boomed across the yard.

"What a disappointment."

Toki's head snapped up and her breath caught in her throat.

A towering figure stood just past the gate, smoke curling around him. Horns. Scales. A sake jug in hand.

"Kaido…"

She knew him. Everyone in Wano did. But before her mind could fully register what this meant, another man stepped forward—taller still, draped in regal white robes with an air of calm cruelty.

His gaze landed on her like a hunter eyeing prey.

"And you must be Oden's wife," the man said with a gentle, almost amused tone. "Truly… a rare beauty."

Toki's throat tightened. She instinctively stepped in front of her children.

"Who are you…?"

The man chuckled. "Daemon. Or, if you prefer, Nerona Daemon… Saint."

Her heart sank.

That name. The way Kaido stood silently beside him. The lightning earlier—it wasn't Kaido's doing. It was his.

"You're… a Celestial Dragon," she whispered, horrified.

Daemon smiled. "Indeed. And yes… I was the one who killed your husband. Not Kaido."

Her mind reeled. Even Kaido didn't deny it.

Toki's despair deepened. Celestial Dragons—the tyrants who ruled the world from above, untouchable by law or honor. And now, one of them had set his sights on her family.

"I suppose you now understand your situation?" Daemon asked casually.

Toki said nothing, her eyes on the ground, fists clenched.

Daemon frowned. "Silent, are we?" He turned to Momonosuke, still frozen in place.

"Hey, boy. You're Oden's son, aren't you? The great future shogun of Wano?"

Momonosuke jolted—then something snapped.

"N-No!" he blurted. "I'm not the son of that bastard Oden!" ( PS: Ohh Shi... )

Everyone went still.

Daemon's smirk widened. Kaido raised an eyebrow. Toki and Hiyori's eyes widened in horror.

"I-I have nothing to do with them!" Momonosuke stammered, stepping away from his mother. "She's Oden's wife! And that's his daughter! Not me—I swear! Take them if you want! Just let me go!"

Toki's jaw dropped. Her own son… handing them over?

"Pfff—HAHAHAHA!" Kaido bellowed. "This is Oden's son? What a joke! What a spineless little worm!"

Daemon looked at the boy with mild amusement and disgust. "Even I didn't expect this level of cowardice…"

Momonosuke kept talking, desperate to save himself.

"L-Lord Daemon! You can have them! I don't care! My mother, my sister—they mean nothing to me! I'll be loyal to you! Adopt me, even—I'll serve you! Just let me live!"

Toki's voice finally cracked with fury. "Momonosuke!"

The boy flinched.

"How could you…" she whispered, tears still on her cheeks. "How dare you insult your father… your family…?"

Momonosuke snapped, "That idiot is dead! If he were stronger, this wouldn't have happened!"

"Enough." Toki's voice turned cold. "You want to sell your family to survive? Call yourself a shogun? You've brought shame to Oden's name."

Even Hiyori, young as she was, stared at her brother in disbelief.

But Momonosuke didn't stop. "You—you should sacrifice yourself for your son! Isn't my life more important than you or my sister's!? I'll become the new shogun—just obey Lord Daemon, and—"

Slap.

Silence followed.

Toki had slapped him, her hand trembling.

Daemon crossed his arms, observing the chaos with a faint smile. "What a heartwarming family."
