Chapter 13

Chapter Thirteen: The Beginning and End of Authority (Requesting flowers, Requesting evaluation votes)

[Bai Luo]

Gender: Male

Skills: Power of Authority (N), Magic Growth (SR+1), Magic Manipulation (SR)

Comprehensive Evaluation: Seven-digit number (Exceptional)

Possessed Items: N-level Reinforcement Card x9, R-level Reinforcement Card x4

After Bai Luo obtained a new R card, he originally had five R cards. However, after merging with the Power of Authority, one R card was consumed. Bai Luo was somewhat surprised that the cost of fusing with the new ability was merely one-tenth of an R card.
“N card?”
“There’s such a thing?”
Bai Luo clicked on the N-level reinforcement card and received feedback: “N cards can be used to absorb, fuse, and learn new abilities, and regardless of what the ability is, it can seamlessly integrate with my existing power system without any side effects.”
It was precisely because of this ability that the reinforcement system managed to assimilate the Power of Authority from the K World. In other words, Bai Luo’s Power of Authority now had no connection to the Drosston Tablet or the world will of this universe; it had become completely independent.
Additionally, due to the enhancement of the Black Authority Crown, Bai Luo’s overall strength also improved significantly. The Black King’s Sacred Domain could transform clans and bestow superpowers to others. Moreover, the Black King’s power was absolute — capable of destroying anything and restoring broken things back to their original state. Even resurrection, which defies logic, could be achieved under certain conditions within a set time frame.
Destruction and rebirth, neither good nor evil.
Compared to other Authority Holders, the Black King’s power seemed to exist in a different dimension altogether.
As for the standard of comprehensive combat strength:

Seven-digit number: Possesses the force to obliterate all life on a planetary surface; maximum destruction could cause continental collapse.

Six-digit number: Capable of destroying an entire planet; the strongest might even annihilate stars.

Five-digit number: Has the power to destroy everything in the universe; some powerful beings could even erase entire galaxies.

“So this is how the levels are divided?” Bai Luo reflected on his own strength before obtaining the Black King’s power. If he unleashed his magic in a fusion reaction, its immense energy would indeed be enough to shatter a continent, causing it to sink into the ocean. Now, with the Black King’s power amplifying him, Bai Luo could easily flatten Earth’s civilization if he wished.
If he utilized his magic at full power, Bai Luo was confident he could destroy the very planet beneath his feet. Of course, this didn’t mean that the Power of Authority surpassed magic. Based on Bai Luo’s estimation, if someone else possessed this power, as a newly crowned Black King, they would only be able to destroy Japan.
“But this is just the N-level Power of Authority; what would happen if I enhance it further?” Thinking this, Bai Luo decisively used an R-level reinforcement card on the Black Authority Crown. Instantly, Bai Luo felt the connection between himself and the Sword of Damocles above merge completely. With a thought, the obsidian Sword of Damocles began to shrink.
“Come!”
Bai Luo raised his hand and grasped the blade that once hung over the king’s head. This scene shocked Adolf Wiesmann beside him. ‘The Sword of Damocles can actually be wielded as a weapon?!’
Wiesmann felt his worldview shattered as he stared dumbfounded at Bai Luo holding the Black Authority Crown: ‘Chat Group Overlord, terrifying beyond measure!!!’
“!!!”
Not only Wiesmann but Kurumi Tiske too. The young girl looked intently at Bai Luo’s Black King sword, sensing a fatal threat from it. Kurumi had a feeling that if she were killed by this sword, even her shadow clones would be erased entirely. ‘Not individual destruction, but erasure from the rules themselves.’
A thought inexplicably crossed Kurumi’s mind. Simultaneously, the Pokémon power within her urged her to quickly distance herself from Bai Luo. He was extremely dangerous!
However, Kurumi’s fear soon dissipated. She found it strange.
“Did you do something?”
“Ah, I’ve reined in this power.” With the Magic Manipulation skill, Bai Luo instantly gained control over all the forces within him. In his perception, the standalone R-level Black King power already had the capability to destroy terrestrial civilizations. Although not enough to explode a star or instantly destroy the surface of the Earth, it could still level everything gradually.
Such power was still astonishing.
“R-level Black King power is enough to rival deities; if we add magic and manipulation…”
At this moment, Bai Luo felt an unprecedented sense of strength — the confidence to crush planets effortlessly while looking down upon all living things.
The stacking of skills wasn’t as simple as 1 + 1. SR+1 magic combined with R-level Black King power and SR-level Magic Manipulation directly elevated Bai Luo’s system evaluation from late-stage seven-digit to early-stage six-digit.
A six-digit powerhouse could annihilate planets. However, the concept of “planet annihilation” was vague. Whether it was shattering the Earth or the Sun, both counted as planet annihilation. Yet, the volume difference between the Sun and the Earth was a staggering 1.3 million times!
Thus, the range of six-digit was enormous. Even a single tier increase represented a gap of ten thousand or even a million times.
For instance, Bai Luo at late-stage seven-digit could barely break apart the Moon. But now, Bai Luo dared to challenge Jupiter, which was equivalent to 60,000 Moons.
“Too exaggerated…” Bai Luo deeply realized the vast differences between ranks. Just consider the largest star in the universe, which was 10 billion times the size of the Sun. From early-stage Earth destruction to late-stage destruction of the largest celestial body, that spanned a difference of 100 trillion times.
As for higher-ranked five-digit…
Bai Luo had a premonition that reaching five-digit would bring about a qualitative change. Below five-digit and above five-digit were two entirely different realms.
“It’s unimaginable how terrifying five-digit already is. What about four-digit, three-digit, and so-called one-digit?”
Thinking of this, Bai Luo suppressed his initial thoughts of invincibility and instead developed aspirations for broader horizons and caution. “I mustn’t get reckless,” Bai Luo muttered internally. “The world is vast, and there are countless strong individuals. I am far from having the capital to act arrogantly.”
Of course, Bai Luo was confident in his future. Expanding his horizons through the chat group and continuously interacting with new worlds to acquire new abilities, while using the reinforcement system to convert these into his own power, formed a path to transcendence.
“Indeed, wall-breaking is the strongest.”
Bai Luo self-mockingly said this, then calmed his emotions and turned his attention to Wiesmann and Kurumi beside him. “Sorry for keeping you waiting.”
Bai Luo smiled and said, “I didn’t expect to be chosen by the Drosston Tablet.”
“So…”
Wiesmann pointed at the Sword of Damocles hanging overhead, “This black Sword of Damocles…”
“Just as you thought, it’s the symbol of the Black Authority Crown.”
Subsequently, Bai Luo informed them of his identity as the Black King and the meaning behind the sovereign power.
“Is there really such a thing as the Black King?”
Wiesmann was the first scientist to study the tablet. Though he became the first Authority Holder, Wiesmann always believed that silver wasn’t the origin of authority theory. Learning about the existence of the Black King and understanding what black represented completed the last piece of the authority theory puzzle for Wiesmann.
“Creation and destruction, the end of everything?”
“No.”
Wiesmann negated Kurumi’s understanding, saying, “Black isn’t simply an end; it’s also renewal.”
“Start is the end, end is the start, like a huge circle completing self-consistency.”
“Alright.”
Kurumi was amazed; she had no idea what happened. They all came to help in Wiesmann’s world, but suddenly Bai Luo soared ahead.
Oh, you say he was already strong?
Then that’s fine.
Bai Luo retracted his aura, and the Black Authority Crown in his hand disappeared. Wiesmann was somewhat nervous. There was no way around it; Bai Luo’s displayed power was too overwhelming. Facing a demon king who could casually destroy the world, Wiesmann naturally couldn’t afford to be disrespectful.
“Let’s stay the same as before.”
Bai Luo saw this and began to soothe Wiesmann, “We’re all members of the group; we don’t need to focus too much on strength.” For the group members, Bai Luo always approached them with a mindset of making friends. He didn’t want the atmosphere in the chat group to become overly social. Jokes and occasional reliance were trivial matters, but forming cliques would make things uncomfortable.
“Ah, it seems Mr. Bai Luo is indeed a good person.”
Kurumi, being more familiar, although equally wary of Bai Luo, wasn’t uneasy. “Miss Kurumi.”
Bai Luo chuckled helplessly, “Isn’t this the third time you’ve given me a ‘good guy’ card?”
“Ah~ Is that so?”
Kurumi playfully stuck out her tongue and said, “But calling me Miss Kurumi feels too formal. Just call me Kurumi.”
“Then you should call me Bai Luo, without adding ‘Mr.'”
“Alright.”
Kurumi indicated that Bai Luo didn’t have to be so formal. “Honestly, having a strong person like Bai Luo in the group makes people feel inexplicably reassured.”
“Exactly!”
Wiesmann scratched his head; he agreed. Bai Luo’s strength was undoubtedly awe-inspiring. On the flip side, if such a powerful person was willing to be your friend and offer help, it provided a tremendous sense of security!
