Chapter 167: [BONUS CHAPTER] Chapter 164 — A Complete Reversal

The setting sun burned like blood, painting the sky a fiery crimson.

Her slender legs were wrapped in black lace-patterned stockings, outlining a perfect silhouette with graceful curves.

The girl wore a layered, gothic-style Lolita dress, pitch-black with crimson frills decorating the hem—elegant, dark, and strikingly luxurious.

Her skin was pale as snow, standing out starkly against the black outfit.

Long bangs veiled her left eye, while the other—glowing like a blood-red ruby—peeked out, evoking an aura of danger and mystery.

With every graceful step she took, her skirt swayed gently, like a bewitching succubus dancing on the strings of the human heart.

Even the slight curl of her lips exuded a charm that could steal a breath away.

Miss Tokisaki Kurumi was in an unusually good mood today.

She hadn't been in this city long, and at first, she thought it would be just another uneventful trip.

Who could've guessed she'd stumble upon someone so interesting?

That boy—on a date with two Spirits at once—what was so special about him?

Well, she figured, why not kill some time by doing a little digging?

Lost in her thoughts, the girl didn't pay attention to where she was going.

And as is often the case in city alleyways, creatures known as delinquents emerged from the shadows.

One particularly gaudy-looking punk, his hair styled in some chaotic "visual kei" mess, swaggered backward out of a narrow alley and bumped straight into the strolling Spirit.

"Oh dear, terribly sorry~"

Kurumi, clearly in high spirits, politely apologized first with a playful smile.

"Whoa there, missy," the punk said with a mocking grin, "you think a little 'sorry' is enough after bumping into someone?"

Two more delinquents with equally tragic hairstyles stepped out of the alley's shadows and surrounded her.

The moment they laid eyes on Kurumi, their gazes were instantly filled with lust.

"Damn, she's actually cute."

"Hey sweetheart, wanna hang out with us a bit?"

"What's your name, little miss?"

For a brief second, Kurumi looked genuinely confused.

Then her expression shifted into something far more ambiguous—an elegant smile that hid far too many secrets.

Raising a hand, she lightly stroked her soft, rosy lips with two slender fingers, then said something that left the punks momentarily stunned.

"Oh? Are you boys hoping to mount me?"

"Whoa—what the hell, so direct?!"

They hadn't expected such crude words to come from someone who looked like a noble, high-class young lady.

Their shock quickly turned to excitement.

"Well, well… looks like the lady's into it too."

"Mmm, something like that," Kurumi replied, flashing a dazzling smile.

Her voice dropped to a mischievous whisper.

"But not here—someone might see. Follow me~"

She turned with a wink, her tone like perfume on the wind.

With the grace of a seductive fairy, she took the lead, sashaying deeper into the alley.

"Oho~ you're eager, huh, missy?"

Grinning wickedly, the three thugs followed her in.

"Hel—"

"Aaah!!"

From nearby, the screech of tires drowned out a terrified cry.

A massive delivery truck thundered past, oblivious to the blood it had just masked with its roar.

Having failed to collect any souls for another world, the truck sped off in search of its next unlucky target.

In the shadows of the narrow alley—where the sunlight couldn't reach—Kurumi's exposed ruby-red eye glimmered with a demonic glow.

Blood pooled on the concrete like a red fountain, still radiating warmth.

Her eyes narrowing in satisfaction, Kurumi gently licked her lips with a pink tongue, savoring the lingering taste.

"Thanks for the meal~"

"You're welcome—wait, no, shouldn't I be the one saying that?"

A light, cheerful voice rang out from behind her, causing the wickedly smiling Kurumi to blink and slowly turn around.

There stood a black-haired boy with a sly grin on his face.

"And you are…?"

Curiosity flickered across her delicate features.

First of all, he clearly wasn't a Spirit.

She hadn't noticed him at all before now, which meant he was good.

And the fact that he'd witnessed her feeding and still had the guts to approach…

Could he be a magician?

Yes, that made sense.

This world did have magicians.

Magicians were split into two kinds: natural magicians, and artificial magicians.

Artificial magicians were trained operatives capable of manipulating "tactical manifestation units," mainly used for Spirit combat and suppression.

But the magicians in this world were a little different.

They operated based on bloodlines and performed miracles through the study of mysticism, alchemy, and Kabbalah.

"I'm just a totally ordinary guy passing by. However…"

Nagami's laid-back tone suddenly shifted, his expression turning solemn.

"Kurumi-san, your charm level is simply off the charts. I was struck by your beauty—er, no! It was love at first sight!"

He straightened his posture as if this were a formal declaration.

"Kurumi-san… please marry me!"

He said it with the utmost sincerity, as if he truly meant it.

"…Huh?"

Kurumi tilted her head with a dazed little sound, looking adorably confused.

After a moment, she resumed her usual elegant, sultry demeanor.

"Ara~ proposing to a woman you just met? My, how… honest of you~"

Honest was the polite way to put it.

A less flattering term might be "hopeless pervert faithfully loyal to his desires."

"But I'm afraid I must decline, Mr. Mysterious Stranger~"

She raised her delicate hand and twirled a lock of her silky hair between her fingers, her expression a perfect mix of regret and charm.

"I'm sure you must be a good person," Kurumi said with a sweet smile, "but… unfortunately, I'm a very bad girl~"

"What a shame."

"So… is that a rejection, then?" Nagami didn't sound the least bit disappointed.

He simply looked calmly at the beautiful Spirit standing before him.

"Are you really not even a little curious? I have a feeling you'd come to like me, Kurumi-san."

She had thought he might be someone dangerous or interesting.

Turned out he was just some overly confident nutjob with a decent SP stat.

Still, since he hadn't made any threatening moves, Kurumi didn't mind letting him walk away alive—for now.

Without acknowledging what she had now classified as a harmless lunatic, Kurumi turned and began walking toward the end of the alley.

"Sigh… I guess we really weren't fated to meet, huh?"

Nagami let out a sigh that sounded almost melancholic and started walking the other way.

"Oh—just a friendly suggestion, Kurumi-san. You might want to try activating your City of Devouring Time."

Because Code's power was sealed within Nagami's soul, unless Kurumi used her time domain, she wouldn't be able to perceive his presence in the time flow.

Kurumi's steps came to a halt.

Her crimson, gem-like eye shimmered with sudden intrigue.

He knows about my ability?

And even dares to suggest I use it?

Could he possess some unique power?

But… I don't recall any powerful male magicians that I've fought before…

As Nagami's footsteps faded into the distance, carrying no hint of hesitation, Kurumi narrowed her eyes.

"…Fine. Let's have a look, shall we~?"

Like ink poured over water, shadows as black as the abyss began to spread from beneath her feet, quickly racing toward Nagami.

The moment the curtain of darkness brushed against him, Kurumi's eyes widened in shock.

Her crimson pupil shimmered with disbelief, and the golden clock eye hidden beneath her bangs suddenly lit up like a blazing sun.

The calm waters of her mind were instantly overturned, emotions surging like a tidal wave crashing through her soul.

It was as if a beggar had just stumbled upon untold trillions of wealth.

"W-Wait!!"

Several pale hands reached out from the darkness, latching onto Nagami's ankle.

In the blink of an eye, Kurumi summoned her Astral Dress.

Black and crimson gothic lace bloomed like a deadly rose—Astral Dress: Elohim-Gibbor, Third Bullet.

In a flicker of movement, she vanished.

When she reappeared, the Spirit girl stood right in front of Nagami, her delicate hands gently taking his.

Like she was cradling the world's most precious treasure, she cupped his hands together and pressed them to her chest.

"Darling~ Let's get married right now!"

Her slender frame trembled with excitement, and even her voice quivered with joy.

"Wait, didn't you just say I was a good guy and you were a bad girl?"

"That never happened! Someone with your aura couldn't possibly be—"

"Hmm?"

"I-I mean—if it's for Darling, I'll turn over a new leaf!"

"And you said we weren't fated to meet…"

"How could you say such a thing? We're clearly a match made in heaven! If I ever find out who dared spread such nonsense, I'll make sure they regret it!~"

"You don't even know my name…"

"No matter what your name is, you're already my husband, aren't you?"

Her voice was as sweet as honey, oozing like melted sugar.

Her warm breath brushed against his ear as she leaned in.

With one arm looped tightly around his, half her body pressed flush against his side.

Nagami could clearly feel her softness squished against his arm, and her delicate scent filled his nose.

"…I'm starting to feel like you're just lusting after my body."

"How could you say that?" she replied with mock offense. "This is love at first sight—just like you said, Husband~!"
