“Of course.”
Even so, Eunha didn’t know what to do because Jihak was hugging her around the waist.
She couldn’t wash his hair in such an embarrassing position.
After she carefully removed his arm, she poured the cold water that had accumulated into a hot water basin to obtain lukewarm water.
“You can use the berries on the side.”
Jihak still had her head tilted back.
She could smell the alcohol.
Eunha grabbed some dried berries as Jihak said.
“Keep your eyes tightly closed.”
She calmly poured water on his hair, then rubbed it with the berries to create foams.
The berries gave off a mild fragrance.
Eunha combed Jihak’s fine hair, then gently pressed his hard scalp. It was an acupressure point she had learned from the courtesans, this could relieve the hangover.
She wasn’t convinced until his face relaxed.
“Is that cool?”
“Where did you learn that?”
“I grew up in Buyeong. I learned it from my elders. The day after drinking, what people like the most is acupressure.”
“Hmm… I would like you to bathe me every day.”
“I can do it if you want.”
As Eunha washed his hair, her eyes shifted from his handsome features to his adam’s apple. Then she suddenly realized that he was completely naked, so she looked away.
“How was the outing? Did you have fun?”
“Yes. The bookshop owner gave me a new book. I’m sure you’ll like it very much.”
“Then read it today.”
“Yes.”
“But you don’t look so happy.”
She bit her lower lip.
“How did you know?”
“I can tell just from your voice. We’ve already talked enough.”
“I haven’t seen my sister. I wanted to see her. But I feel better after I received her letter.”
“Did you cry? Your eyes are red.”
She turned her head toward the mirror.
As Jihak had said, her eyes were red as if she had cried.
“I’m curious about your expression.”
Then he slowly opened his closed eyes. Eunha poured warm water on his hair after she finished the acupressure.
“Are you curious about my pale face? You will only be disappointed.”
“I see. You are pale.”
He grabbed Eunha’s wrist as she held the bowl. The bowl, which she had dropped, was well beyond her grasp.
“Your face is pale and your hands are rough.”
Her face grew hot with embarrassment. He took her hand.
“If you dip your hands in this water, your whole body will become soft.”
Eunha held her breath. Her fingers tingled as they touched the warm water.
She involuntarily moaned.
“Ah…”
Then he bent his head to move closer to her.
“Are you feeling hot?”
“It’s not that… I feel tingling.”
“And the rest?”
“What?”
“Isn’t it frozen somewhere else? It’s obvious you must have walked in the snow in thin shoes, aren’t your feet frozen?”
