Chapter 752: 60 seconds of Unluckiness — A Horror Came Alive!!! (I)
It only lasted for 60 seconds; not one second less; not one second more.
For these 60 seconds, Kai's Luck dropped to such depths that it went into negative. Anyone in his place would have died on the spot.
However, Kai was the Lucky One, to begin with.
His Luck saved him — by letting other things happen, instead.
And the origin of this curse lay not in the Multiverse, but in the Primordial Tower.
…
"I would have never imagined for you to be willing to part with it… bastard," the red-robed High Priest of the Temple of Amon-Gorloth chuckled under the hood, his voice beastly.
Contestant Pangu looked down at the tiny existence.
Pangu was over 100 feet (30.48 m) tall. He had a headful of red hair, red eyes, and a thick red beard. Despite his gigantic stature, he was wearing a perfectly seamed white suit and pants, with a white gentleman hat over his head.
In his hands, Pangu carried the sacrifice he had brought with him.
— Roronoa Zoro's left eye!
It was sealed in a container made of Valyrian steel and was suspended in a solution brewed using at least five Mythical Pokemon's blood.
Even then, Pangu was barely keeping himself from losing his bearings.
Much less needed to be said about the tiny being who was already half-passed out.
Pangu regretted not being able to hire the services of the High Priest of the Temple of Hastur for this. For the same sacrifice, he would have obtained at least ten times better results.
However, the Temple of Hastur had flatly rejected his request.
That had come as a surprise to Pangu, for, from the info they had received, the Temple of Hastur hated Contestant Red as much the Temple of Amon-Gorloth. Perhaps, a touch more.
Nevertheless, he was already here.
"How much…" Pangu asked, his voice booming.
The High Priest let the sacrifice levitate in front of him as the Red King's bastard dropped it. Even now, he didn't dare to touch the thing.
The Priests of Amon-Gorloth went by the name of Claws, as the Old One also went by the name of The Beast.
"I can only pray… bastard…" the Claw said, trying to chuckle under his beastly voice. "HIS response is unfathomable…"
The 15th-floor monster, Contestant Pangu, used all his will to not roll his eyes over that.
"But…" the Claw added, turning out. "You can rest assured… bastard. For a few minutes… this Red will be the unluckiest Contestant in the history of the Tower… Gwa-haha-hwahaha!!!"
BOOM!!!
Pangu's punch turned the Claw into mincemeat.
He lifted his fist, leaving behind a bloody paste on the floor. He looked at the bits of flesh still stuck to his knuckles, like gooey, red dust, and sighed to himself.
Suddenly, the bloody paste squirmed, wriggling like uncountable worms.
Even the red, gooey bits of flesh stuck to Pangu's fist shot away, melting into the bloody mixture.
The High Priest of the Temple of Amon-Gorloth, wearing a red, hooded robe, took shape and stood to his full height.
"… Haha… Gwa… haha… hwahaha…"
Laughing, he kept walking as if Pangu hadn't swatted him smithereens just now.
He put the sacrifice on an altar, surrounded by skulls of uncountable beasts from the Multiverse.
Then, he prayed, as promised; his voice incomprehensible to unknown ears.
…
The Dreaming Beast of Reality
The Unshackled Equilibrium
The Truth Behind All Lies
…
Pangu grated his teeth as the murmurs made his ears bleed.
Then, as if the surroundings had forgotten they were real or not, a strangeness seeped into the world.
In the next moment, the sacrifice had disappeared.
Pangu dropped to his knees, panting. "Is it… done?" he asked.
The High Priest of the Temple of Amon-Gorloth licked his bloody lips under the hood. "Indeed… bastard."

In one of the domed labs, Orochimaru, Rintaro, and Mayuri were having a heated debate among themselves.
They were standing in front of a large cylinder that connected the floor to the ceiling.
Within the cylinder, suspended in a green liquid was a naked Tina, magical pulses oozing out of her body now and then. Tubes were running down from the ceiling, connecting to her back. One of them acted as the oxygen supplier.
"You must be kidding…" Mayuri argued, scratching his ear. "There's no way these Mystic Eyes of Enchantment can work like that… Even if you use our master's methods of Gene Extraction."
Orochimaru's long tongue slithered, his slitted pupils narrowing. "I can attempt enhancing the very definition of Mystic Eyes if I can get my hands on Hashirama's Cells…"
Mayuri scoffed. It wasn't as simple as that. This girl had inherited the Mystic Eyes. They weren't implanted in her by a third hand. But how to make the snake-brain understand that?!
Rintaro fidgeted with the Cursed Glacial Ice, the Horcrux, eying Tina. "It shouldn't be impossible… an android…"
Suddenly, the door to the lab opened.
Meg walked in, holding a vial containing a ghostly silver substance. It looked like it was mist and liquid at the same time.
She came to a stop among the men and eyed Tina.
Then, she looked at the three of them, thinking to whom she should give it to. Sighing, she lifted the vial toward Orochimaru.
"Please be careful with it…" Meg warned. "The Soul Scattering Poison is…"
It happened then.
If one could put a number to the speed of what happened next, then that would already be defying logic.
It was fast.
It was beyond the limit of even perceived time, perhaps.
With a stupendous boom, a magical burst of energy exploded out of Tina.
The multicolored surge of energy tore through the protective glass as if it were paper and oozed out.
Then, with a little pop, it broke the vial.
The most potent poison known to Kai scattered in all directions.
One drop landed on Meg. Yellow Crystal dancing in her eyes, she exploded into bits of paper, tiny chunks getting incinerated on the spot.
One drop landed on each of the Grimoire's Characters. Even before they could think of using their unfathomable powers… all of them blurred out of existence.
Most of the Three-Headed Devourer's poison melted into the green liquid exploding off around Tina, preventing her from meeting a much crueler fate.
However, one drop landed on something that Kai would have never wanted it to.
One drop landed on something that Kai's Luck would have never let it to… if he was still lucky.
Never had Kai worried about how to deal with Herpo the Foul's Horcruxes.
Would he need a Basilisk's fang? If yes, then at what point in the timeline must he obtain it?
Would he require the Gryffindor sword? If yes, must he get it after the final battle when Voldemort's Horcruxes are dealt with?
Kai never cared about these questions.
Because he had Selene. She was the Three-Headed Devourer now, but she had been the Ghost Basilisk before.
And Soul Scattering Poison not only ended the soul… it obliterated its existence.
Even the timeline's rules couldn't save the traces of a soul that this poison touched.
So, yes.
When one drop of the Soul Scattering Poison landed on Herpo the Foul's Horcrux, it did what it was supposed to do.
Crack!!!
Hisssssssssssss!!!!
Endless green mist hissed out, ghostly faces taking shape within it, screaming.
In the next moment, the mind-boggling poison ate through those screams as well, leaving behind absolutely nothing.
