Chaos and Order - A Multiverse Fanfic

Chapter 732: The Diary's Mystery and Gifts to Counter Luck!

One of the greatest mysteries of the Harry Potter Universe — Tom Riddle's Diary's location before Lucius put it in Ginny's cauldron.

According to some, it was in the Malfoys' Gringotts Vault.

However, Darcie had been to all the Malfoys' vaults, known and unknown to the public, but she had failed to find the Horcrux.

Then there was the talk of the Diary being in the Malfoy's Manor.

Considering Darcie's presence in the Manor, who had already used all types of spells to unveil its location, it was an even more ridiculous rumor.

The boldest claim was that Lucius always kept it on himself, using a Shrinking Spell on it.

That claim had been dismissed by Kai when he realized he couldn't cast such spells on the Glacial Ice Crystal—another Horcrux.

Hence, much like Voldemort's existence before the main storyline began and Hagrid's coming to the Hut on Harry Potter's eleventh birthday to deliver the letter, Tom Riddle's Diary's location was also one of the Timeline's sweet spots.

Regardless of sweet or bitter spots, Kai believed it should have come into the picture by now.

The school was going to start in another two weeks.

Whoever had the Diary now, must start interacting with it in this period for the timeline events to progress as closely to the original storyline as possible.

And yet…

"What is it?" Cersei asked when they were done. "What troubles you?"

Kai put on the clothes and frowned.

He took a good look at Cersei's naked figure squirming on the bed and sat down at its edge. Then, with a flick of his hand, he took out the Compass.

The moment it came out in the open, a strange hum took over the surroundings.

"Rose of the Winds." Kai poured his Mana into the Item.

[

Item: The Compass of Desire (Named Item)

Skill: Rose of the Winds

Skill's Effect:

 — Mana Consumption: 350 MP

 — Direct the owner to whatever he wants most at the moment

 — Even if the desire might be fatal to the owner himself, it works as intended

 — One Charge of the Skill will last for 3 hours

]

The Compass' needle began spinning round and round, its reach spanning the entire planet.

Kai waited and waited, Cersei coming up behind him, resting her chin on his shoulder.

Seconds passed.

Then, a minute went by.

The needle never stopped rotating.

It was as if it couldn't find the object Kai wanted to see the most right now.

"Men…" Cersei rolled her eyes. "… If you had used an hour ago, then the Compass would have pointed at me."

Kai chuckled.

She knew how to make his frown go away.

Still, the problem persisted, the needle never losing its speed.

"It was like this before the moment Lucius was supposed to plant the Diary in Ginny's cauldron," Kai said, the Ad Infinitum working on theories. "Now…"

Cersei sat up properly, shadows rippling around her, becoming a gown.

"… now, it must point to the Diary's location," she said, finishing Kai's words. "The Compass can't find it, yes? For it to be spinning like this, it leaves only one conclusion."

Kai got up. "It's not come into the picture yet…"

That's where the trouble lay, he knew. If there was an enemy against which Kai could do nothing, then it was an unknown variable.

"Listen…" Cersei stuttered, blushing.

"What?" Kai asked, his mind already going through hundreds of thoughts.

"I want a child."

"Huh? Go, get one, then."

Cersei looked at Kai, her mouth slightly open.

His demonic eyes were dead planted on the Compass, his pupils shifting, rotating along with the needle.

She punched his back with the balls of her fists. "You!"

"What?!"

"Over a thousand-year-old… that stupid Artificial Intelligence in your head… and you dare to act ignorant and stupid?!"

Kai tore his gaze off the Compass and looked down in Cersei's green eyes.

"You only act as a fleshly being outside the Grimoire," he told her. "I can't maintain your existence outside it permanently. After 24 hours, you always return to the Item automatically. Tell me, how am I supposed to give you a child?"

Cersei stared back into Kai's eyes. "Call me out. Switch the Worlds. Stretch the time. Return before 24 hours have gone by for the Grimoire.

"There's no limit on distance between me and the Grimoire anymore… We can even test out my B+ Act as well, no? Isn't this King Bearer an unknown variable for you?"

Silence.

Kai blankly stared at Cersei.

[Processing the feasibility of Character's request…] The Ad Infinitum beeped. [Feasibility 100%.]

Kai used the entire Comprehension of Facelessness to prevent his mouth from twitching.

Women… he shook his head. I wonder if they all have an AI in their heads, too. Tch!

HQ - Quasi Cipher Pol

15th floor

The Primordial Tower

Same chamber. Same round table. Same shadows.

The atmosphere, though, was vastly different from the last time the Five Supremes had met each other.

"I demand an explanation!" Lord Viracocha, the leader of the Millennial Magical Alliance thundered. "How dare you let me send my best agent without knowing such a crucial piece of information?!"

Lord Viracocha's shadow shook in blatant anger.

He wasn't alone, though.

Durga, the leader of the Flowers of Doom, shared the anger, perhaps a bit greater than her counterpart.

Even Black Saber, the leader of Hyperspace Raiders, was stirring oddly, marking his annoyance.

Only Atlas, the leader of the 100 Zanpakuto School, was sitting quietly; like a statue.

The leader of the Quasi Cipher Pol, Pangu, stared at Atlas and, admitted to himself, that he felt unnerved.

The Enemy was Lucky!

The Enemy was the Five Crowned Prince!

The Enemy was the descendant of an Emperor!

And not knowing all this had cost them a 12th-floor Powerhouse when victory was all but assured.

The leaders' anger and annoyance were just, but now wasn't the time to worry about emotions. Now was the time to take action.

Suddenly, Lord Viracocha shook his staff. "Everyone," he said, looking around. "Calm down. No need to be angry."

Durga snapped. "FUCK YOU! YOU FUCKING LUNATICS!!!"

The Millennial Magical Alliance was notorious for housing the greatest and vilest lunatics of the Primordial Tower.

The only thing was that these lunatics were powerful beyond measure, making them a ticking nuclear bomb.

"A red line is drawing itself on a blue background," Black Saber commented.

Atlas looked at his fellow Contestant and nodded. "Indeed."

"…?"

"…?"

"…?"

Pangu sighed and stood up.

"Lord Viracocha," he addressed the lunatic, "Quasi Cipher Pol will compensate your loss."

"What about us?!" Durga asked. "Give me one reason not to call back my student from that timeline."

"Greed."

"What?"

Pangu looked at Durga, narrowing his eyes. "You haven't called her back because of greed, my lady."

"You!"

Pangu raised his hand.

He didn't mind the Emperor's descendant status.

An Emperor might have thousands of descendants, if not tens of thousands.

Such existences cared little for any matter below the 18th floor unless it directly affected them.

Pangu knew this because he was the bastard of the Red King and… an Emperor's descendant as well.

Not only a descendant, but he was also the grandson of an Emperor, making him even more important than the Five-Crowned Prince.

"I will give one more reason…" Pangu said, looking away. "If the Enemy is indeed lucky, then we just need resources to counter him, don't we?"

Durga's eyes suddenly widened. "You mean to say…"

"My gifts…" Pangu said, waving his hand, "… to all of you."

Suddenly, four shocking things appeared on the table, making all the leaders stand up.

The most striking thing among them was also one of the best-known Artifacts among the Contestants.
