Chaos and Order - A Multiverse Fanfic

Chapter 514: Red Rain - The Titan's Wrath!

The ingredient that Kai got from 5th Circle was also a pleasant shock — one square ft of Dementor's shroud!

The 6th Circle presented two Top-level 7th-floor Inferi knights.

Just to test their limits in near-death circumstances, Kai sent both Spawn and Cersei, with Meg as the support. As Morning Mist had already used One Tail's most powerful attack, she was drained of both Mana and Chakra at this point, perfect for her usual role.

Somewhere in-between the ongoing battle, Spawn got pummeled into the earth, taking one Inferi with her.

There was a limit to which she could exercise her powers over the dead without having access to the full Blessing.

After her came Cersei's turn.

With gauntleted fists, the remaining Inferi tore her body, punching a hole right through her.

At last, only Meg remained, her Origamis taking the full brunt of the Inferi's odd fighting style.

If nothing was done, she would be forced to call One Tail again, permanently stepping out of the scene for the rest of the journey.

Shukaku was powerful, true enough.

The toll the Tailed Beast demanded was even greater, though.

Kai didn't want to lose her just yet.

He looked over his shoulder and saw Red Sun fingering his ear, eyes closed.

Red Sun must have sensed something, for he opened his eyes and paused, taken aback by all looking at him.

"What?" he asked, and then noticed the knights charging at them. "Oh! Was I supposed to help her? I thought we were doing it according to our strengths. I am the strongest in our group, after all. Haha! Hahaha! Cough-Cough!"

"Is that so?" Kai asked, amused.

He turned around and took a step toward Red Sun.

Kai had been delaying it, taking his actual form, as they did not know how long would it last.

Knowing that he could take his original form for only three hours, he had thought it best to delay it as much as he could.

The wait was over, at least for him.

A black fog puffed out of Kai's shadow as he changed.

The fog covered him instantaneously and no one seemed to mind the Inferi pouncing toward Meg, letting out booming sounds.

It was then the black fog collapsed, returning to wherever it had come from.

The Faceless walked out from the fog, wearing a neat white doublet, pants, and shoes.

His white hair spilled on his shoulders like a milky waterfall and in his reptilian, hazel pupils, two yellow crystals bobbed up and down.

At 21, Kai was a tall and handsome man, with a lean build and a hard face.

Now, he looked down at Red Sun, his height an inch taller.

Red Sun gulped. Then he laughed ruefully. "Haha! Of course, I meant that little girl. Haha! You aren't a little girl, are you? Haha!"

Kai grinned at him, making Red Sun stumble back.

"Uncle Red Sun," he said, his voice shockingly similar to Darcie's. "Don't make fun of me. I am little, but I will soon grow up, no?"

The creepiness of the situation seeped into their bones, a horrifying chill running down their spine.

Red Sun's face paled.

Kai felt amused, but this wasn't the time to play with them.

He took the Tales of Beedle the Bard out and said, "Rintaro. Petyr."

From the fog of mystery, the Mad Scientist and the Titan walked out, donning the masks of young men.

Kai knew Cersei would instantly want to resume the fight, feeling indignant about her loss.

"Bwahahahaha!" Rintaro lifted his hands, letting out a thunderous laugh.

In stark contrast to Rintaro's nonchalance, the moment Petyr saw the ongoing fight ahead, he knew why His Majesty had called him out.

Analyzing a battlefield had already become an inherent part of him.

As Rintaro stood next to Kai, he swiped his hand at empty air, taking two swords out of his Inventory.

The two longswords shimmered like mirrors, a groove running down their length. The blades featured distinctive rippled patterns, the mark of steel that had been folded back on itself many thousands of times.

However, an even more striking thing about the swords was the color of the blades themselves — red. Like blood.

Kai didn't like such swords.

Nonetheless, he had bought these at a whopping price of three hundred thousand Mission Credits… each.

Fangs, Kai's Low-level Uncommon Swords, had only cost him 15000 a piece.

Among all the materials using which a sword could be forged, Valyrian Steel remained one of the costliest.

Lighter, Sharper, Harder, and Stronger…

Kai liked Valyrian Steel, especially the Named ones, but, for now, these weren't for him. With a flick of his hand, he threw them toward Petyr.

Littlefinger snatched the swords out of the air as if they were parts of his body.

This wasn't the end, though.

Unlike Cersei, whose physique was assisted by the shadows, letting her keep up against enemies' vast powers, Petyr didn't have such a power.

For him, Kai and Rintaro had come up with something unique.

Kai's shadow rippled and pieces of bronze armor shot out, covering Petyr's entire body.

"Behold!" Rintaro shouted, looking at Moraine, trying to impress her. "My power!"

There was indeed something different about the armor.

Thin, veins-like grooves were running all over the armor. On the pauldrons on Petyr's shoulders, there were two cylindrical tubes, filled with bubbling, green solution.

"Go…" Kai said. "… Finish him."

Petyr lifted the swords in his hands and flicked them down.

With a bang, the two tubes on the pauldrons fell, injecting the armor with the Strengthening Potion. Simultaneously, needles popped out under the inner layer of the armor, layered along the veins, injecting the potion right into Petyr's body.

Petyr breathed out, his breath green.

Veins popped up all over his body, his blood becoming green.

Though he was different than Cersei, he did share one thing with her — Immortality!

As long as Petyr could handle Strengthening himself this way, without disappearing, he could keep growing stronger.

Twin Saber Style —

With a noiseless pop, Petyr vanished, shocking the Contestants.

The next time he appeared, he was already above Inferi, who was about to punch through Meg's head.

Petyr's eyes glowed green and he spun, the Valyrian swords kissing the Inferi on the chest.

— Kiss of the Giant Serpent!

Booooooom!

The massive knight struck the earth and skidded hundreds of metres before coming to a rest.

Suddenly, the Inferi's body went taut as if death itself had opened its gaze to look at him.

"Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrhhh!" The Knight growled, pounding its gauntleted fists.

Far into the distance, Petyr landed on the ground and crossed his arms.

Twin Saber Style: Forbidden Technique —

The two cylindrical tubes on Petyr's shoulders protruded out, filling up with another dose of potion.

With another bang, they injected the potion into the armor, which then injected it into Petyr's veins evenly, instantly doubling his strength.

Muscles squirmed, flesh ripping apart.

His bones cracked, crushed by his muscles.

Petyr's green eyes began bleeding from their corners.

Then, with a resounding boom, and leaving behind a crater, he fired himself ahead.

The Inferi didn't even get to punch at the incoming, bronze-green wraith, getting dissected in four parts.

— Serpent God's Wrath!

Behind the fallen Knight, the Titan flicked his swords once more, his breath pulsating along with his figure.

Then he disappeared, finishing His Majesty's command.
