Chapter 47: Leaving for the Tower I
Kyle was startled when two sharp pairs of eyes locked onto his body, and because of the Vice Principal, other students also turned around to stare at him.
'What the hell? It's the librarian... right? So, why is everyone looking at me?'
He glanced at the old man once more and he was damn sure it was the librarian. The latter just changed his eye and hair color. Plus, how could Kyle forget about the annoying old man who mercilessly kicked him out of the library out of nowhere?
Alec and Nine exchanged glances and, with a silent nod, joined the people who were staring at Kyle. Their eyes were filled with pity as if telling him that this time he had been marked by the wrong person. Kyle rolled his eyes, he so badly wanted to wipe the infuriating smiles playing on their lips. But fortunately for them, George stopped staring when Aliza gave him a signal.
Kyle let out a relieved sigh and inwardly thanked the beautiful professor.
George cleared his throat and praised the fourteen hard-working students who were going to enter the tower.
He gave them all a high-grade storage ring as a reward. Storage rings are crafted using space magic, and they are divided into different grades based on the available space inside.
Low grade
Medium grade
High grade
Supreme grade
The higher the grade, the more expensive and valuable the storage ring is because it can hold more objects. The latest chapters are always available first on MV5LEMPYR.
George waved his right hand and fourteen similar blue-colored rings appeared, floating directly toward the students.
Kyle also got a storage ring. He peeked inside the ring using his senses and was amazed by the large space inside. The space was equivalent to the biggest room he had ever seen. Inside the ring, he discovered stored food, water that could last for months, and even a small pile of mana stones in one corner.
He does have a storage ring, but it's a low-rank one given by his brother before he entered the academy. That's why he was thinking of getting at least a medium-rank storage ring for himself. But the problem was, he lacked the money to buy it. Kyle glanced at George, feeling grateful for the storage ring.
Among the students, the storage ring was useless for rich kids like Carcel and Lara because they already had high-grade storage rings. But having two at the same time wasn't a bad thing at all. After giving storage rings to the students, the Vice Principal started his usual long and boring speech.
He was going on and on about how he had been very busy for the past two weeks, getting everything ready for the students. He kept emphasizing how this was an incredible, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity... of course, all thanks to the academy.
Honestly, everyone would've probably dozed off if it wasn't for the librarian next to the Vice Principal practically begging him to wrap it up. Well, he didn't exactly beg, but his tone was almost pleading.
George frowned, but he stopped when he noticed the students' lifeless eyes. Then, he introduced the librarian as Elder Han and waved his hand, conjuring a massive ship right before their eyes.
The students weren't taken aback since they were already familiar with the ship. It was the same one George had used after the academy entrance test. Once the Vice Principal gave the signal, all the students and the librarian boarded the ship.
It looked like Aliza wasn't joining them because she didn't board the ship. She watched, as the towering ship began to float and disappeared into the sky.
....
On the floating ship, all the youngsters stood at the front, super excited as they looked at the clouds.
This time, Kyle wasn't standing alone, he was with Nine and Carcel. Well, even if he wanted to stand alone, he didn't have the guts because the librarian kept staring daggers at him from behind.
George was completely exhausted and as soon as the ship departed, he went to an empty room to sleep. The short journey, which lasted a few hours, evoked different emotions in everyone. Some were thrilled about the new adventure, while others were anxious about the dangers they would face in the tower.
But in the middle of all that, Kyle was sweating buckets of water. He wanted to enjoy himself like everyone else, but the librarian's intense gaze prevented him from doing so. In the end, he had no choice but to stick with Nine and Carcel the whole time, not letting them out of his sight, afraid that the librarian might do something if he was alone.
Nine was a little surprised seeing Kyle so clingy, but even after probing for a while, he couldn't find the cause. Bia, who was sitting on top of Kyle's head, laughed crazily at the situation. She just kept laughing nonstop, which made Kyle even more annoyed.
Kyle gently picked up Bia with his fingers and took a deep breath before tossing her toward the librarian with an evil smirk. But even after he did that, Bia's laughter could still be heard throughout the whole ship.
After a few hours of floating, the ship finally reached its destination. AII the students stared down and were amazed by the sight of the luxurious castle below on the land.
At that moment, George finally stepped out of the room he had been resting in and waved his right hand, causing the ship to slowly descend in front of the castle.
The youngsters quickly left the ship, following Elder Han and the Vice Principal. They gazed at the majestic gates of the castle and felt an invisible force on their shoulders, but it disappeared when George moved in front of them. The castle's gates opened and revealed a vast and beautiful garden waiting for their arrival.
Some guards inside the garden welcomed George and instructed everyone to follow them. As the students walked behind the guards, they were captivated by the beauty of one of the largest gardens they had ever seen.
The security around the castle was intense, with guards radiating a pressure equivalent to (A)-Rank. Among the students, only Carcel seemed unfazed by such luxury.
He looked at the garden, the castle and let out a sigh. Finally, he was back home after leaving for the academy.
