Chapter 977: Multifunction Printer
Since this printer room ignored Wen Wen, Wen Wen decided to disturb it.
He placed his hand on the door panel. The pitch-black power, like tendrils formed of viscous liquid, spread out, covering the entire door.
The things inside the door seemed to sense something. Exam papers of different subjects flew out from the door crack, wrapping around Wen Wen.
The Common Language test paper stuffed Wen Wen's mouth, the Math test paper squeezed into Wen Wen's nostrils, and the Physics test paper covered Wen Wen's eyes. Test papers from other subjects all tried to stop Wen Wen's movements and kept drilling into his body.
But that wasn't the end of it. From each exam paper, transparent brains appeared, wielding rulers, ceaselessly striking at Wen Wen.
The number of transparent brains grew, causing the corridor to struggle under their weight. The supporters guarding the entrance were invisibly pushed back, continually retreating.
In his eyes, a horrifying scene gradually appeared. The shadows of the transparent brains became clearer, detectable even to ordinary people, with their strength continuously increasing.
Although the supporter was an ordinary person, he demonstrated excellent qualities in the face of this change.
He immediately feigned panic but placed his left hand behind his back, ready to press the emergency alarm. The current situation didn't allow him to make a call to report the situation.
Part of a series hosted by My Virtual Library Empire (MV&LEMP&YR).
In these circumstances, those who hurriedly took out their phones to send a message were usually the first to be attacked.
But just as his hand touched the alarm, he stopped his action. Wen Wen, firmly trapped by the exam papers, suddenly extended a hand, gesturing for him to stop.
"You can cover my face with papers if you want, but could you switch it out for a different test paper, like a psychological test? That would suit me better."
"These serious educational test papers should be in sacred classrooms, not used for such purposes."
When Wen Wen said "sacred," he got a slight chill, not because he disliked it, just because he didn't like it.
After Wen Wen finished speaking, all the exam papers stopped, but their attack became even fiercer, though they stopped trying to enter Wen Wen's body through any opening.
But Wen Wen remained motionless amid the attack of these test papers, as if these attacks were merely scratching an itch. Yet, in truth, Wen Wen was grimacing in pain, just hidden by the covering papers.
When the pain surpassed a certain limit, Wen Wen let out a chuckle.
"I advise you to stop, though the attack is indeed painful, painfully intense."
"But it means nothing to me!"
Wen Wen spoke with labored breaths, his voice hoarse, unable to conceal the joyful emotion conveyed through the sound.
His eyes, concealed by the newspaper, suddenly turned the color of fresh blood, with a crimson aura seeping through the gaps in the exam papers. Under this aura's influence, the attack power of the transparent brains intensified.
"Do you know why I'm not resisting? Heh heh, ha ha ha… Because it feels so good!"
"But I'm not a masochist, at least not now. It's just that you aim to hurt me but not harm me. So, I don't want those people's final imprint to completely vanish like that."
"Your strength is great, but since your attacks aren't meant to injure me, they're ineffective. The pain merely makes me stronger."
Pure black energy shot forth from Wen Wen, like a black hurricane breaking through the rooftop of the school building, writhing like a black smoke column in the night.
The erupting energy forced all the exam papers away, and Wen Wen calmly walked to the door, pressing his hand down again.
From the earlier touch, Wen Wen understood that the printer room was not the opponent's main body, so this time, Wen Wen didn't hold back. The entire floor, walls, doors, windows, and ceiling of the printer room vanished entirely within seconds.
A gigantic printer over two meters high floated in mid-air. This printer was chaotic in color and irregular in shape, like a mixture of dozens of printers.
Laser printer, electrostatic printer, inkjet printer, 3D printer—all seen on the market, and even antique printers that had exited the market were among them. Wen Wen even saw engravings and movable type...
Apart from the various forms of printers, this printer was also entangled with a shocking amount of obsessions.
It could be said that this printer-shaped containment item was a conglomeration of countless obsessions, all aiming to enable others to gain more knowledge and become more optimistic.
These obsessions didn't only come from teachers but might also originate from parents with high expectations or amiable orphanage directors...
After death, anyone who held positive expectations for other intelligent beings could possibly leave behind similar obsessions.
It's unclear whether this containment item gathered these obsessions or these obsessions forged this containment item.
Of course, obsessions remain obsessions, lacking normal thinking ability. They didn't know how to realize these positive expectations, choosing instead the form of 'making test papers.'
Wen Wen disrupted the printer room, obstructing their actions, so it sought to teach Wen Wen a lesson.
All the small printers on the giant printer moved in their own ways, then a blur of words or numbers shot towards Wen Wen.
This was one of its true abilities—'printing,' allowing it to print characters onto other objects. Once printed, they wouldn't easily come off, akin to an alternative form of tattoo.
Though Wen Wen was unaware of the giant printer's abilities, he didn't want these characters to land on his body, so he swiftly dodged every incoming word.
If words like 'underachiever,' 'illiterate,' or 'classroom disruptor' got printed on Wen Wen, how could he continue his journey as a Ranger?
Wen Wen wasn't afraid of a real fight but was unnerved by methods that engraved words onto people.
Even mental patients care about appearances!
"Let's talk it over amicably. If you come closer, I won't be polite!"
"I actually admire you, having haunted these students for so long without harming a single one."
Crack~ Crack~ Crack~
The giant printer stopped its actions, and a white piece of paper floated down in front of Wen Wen.
On it were only the large words 'plague,' followed by an even larger question mark.
"Indeed, it's torture. Your method is too cruel for these students. While they might rank top in school and be admitted to desired prestigious schools..."
"But their achievements were forced out by you. After leaving Yellowstone Middle School, they feel nauseous at the sight of test papers, and more than half have been expelled from universities because of it."
"The remaining students coast through college, learning nothing, ultimately becoming useless outside of taking exams!"
"All thanks to you. Isn't this a plague?"
