chapter 180 - Troublesome Matters
The Crown Prince was already aware of the schemes against the Amber family, and Hua Deqi had no qualms about it. He even said to the Crown Prince, “Just act like you don’t know anything. See through it but don’t say anything.”
Regarding the issue with the Amber family, the Hua De family and the Crown Prince had always been aligned in their stance, and this would not change in the future. Therefore, Hua Deqi had no intention of hiding his actions from the Crown Prince. The reason he did not discuss it with him was simply to avoid dragging the Crown Prince into the mess.
The matter was sensitive and involved the Crown Prince, which could be problematic. The step-queen was eager to seize any opportunity to fault the Crown Prince, and if she got wind of it, she would undoubtedly blow things out of proportion.
Over the years, the step-queen had been relentless in her efforts to undermine the Crown Prince to make way for the Second Prince. Fortunately, King Adam was not easily swayed by the stepmother’s schemes; no matter what she did, it did not diminish his regard for the Crown Prince.
Now even the Second Prince was aligned with his older brother, which only fueled the step-queen’s animosity. She would do everything in her power to make things difficult for the Crown Prince.
In this situation, the step-queen was unlikely to remember to consider Hua Deli’s interests, let alone the step-aunt from the Amber family.
The Hua De family did not want to uncover everything and risk provoking her.
“Don’t go overboard. Clean up your traces and avoid harming those who shouldn’t be harmed.” The Crown Prince had no intention of stopping him; he only wanted to remind him to be more restrained.
“I’m aware of that,” Hua Deqi replied.
In truth, thinking about the things the step-queen had done made Hua Deqi extremely frustrated, wishing everyone could know the truth.
However, due to Lixi Amber and Hua Deli, Hua Deqi could not leave traces or go too far. Otherwise, with his current power, he could certainly make things difficult for the Amber family.
Unable to fully avenge his sister, Hua Deqi felt somewhat stifled. Although he knew his cousin Ruo Manni for only a short time, he and the Crown Prince had followed her progress closely and had inadvertently come to care for her.
While his concern for Ruo Manni might not be as great as for Hua Deli, whom he had known since childhood, Ruo Manni was the most innocent. Hua Deli, on the other hand, carried original guilt. As an elder brother, he had to act fairly and set an example.
They did not intend to keep this matter hidden forever; some secrets could not be concealed indefinitely. They only planned to let Hua Deli know the truth once he was old enough to handle it.
Revealing the truth now and exposing the matter in the open might ruin the child.
“Everything should be based on my cousin’s wishes. If she wants to recognize you, then let her. If she doesn’t, don’t force her,” the Crown Prince said after a moment of contemplation.
Even though he could provide all the resources Ruo Manni needed, he could not give her parental love or a sense of belonging to the family. Since Ruo Manni already knew about her background, she should be allowed to make her own decisions.
Hua Deqi took another half hour to leave after this exchange. The Crown Prince stayed behind, organized his thoughts, and then replied to his younger brother: “Send me the security plan.”
Seeing the message from his brother, Hebrew Adam felt a sense of relief. With his brother’s approval, the safety of his friends was ensured. He quickly sent over his security plan.
Upon receiving the plan, the Crown Prince smiled with satisfaction. It was gratifying to see his younger brother mature and become more composed, without those contrary little tantrums.
With the brothers united and his younger brother’s cooperation, future actions would be much smoother, and many things could be put into motion.
Ruo Manni and her friends were surprised to receive an invitation written personally by Hebrew Adam, inviting them to the Queen’s birthday party at the palace. This plot twist was not in the novel.
As an ordinary person, being able to attend the Queen’s birthday party thanks to Hebrew Adam, a prince, was quite an achievement. It showed just how important connections were. With the right capabilities and connections, even ordinary people could make their way into noble circles, Ruo Manni reflected.
However, Ruo Manni reconsidered and realized that her thoughts were somewhat one-sided. If it weren’t for the fact that her dramatic background had been known in advance by the Crown Prince and Hua Deqi, would she have reached such heights? Could she have maintained such a calm demeanor and gained their respect?
If she were truly an ordinary girl from the outer rim planets, even if she had achieved her current level, it wouldn’t have happened so quickly.
With Hebrew Adam sending such a formal invitation, the elite class had no choice but to show respect. Furthermore, with his promise to arrange for the royal prince’s guard to escort them, their safety was assured, making it unnecessary for them to worry. The elite class, who had been cooped up in school for so long, immediately expressed their eagerness to attend.
The Queen’s birthday party was one of the highest-level events in the Gus Empire. Since they were attending as classmates of the second prince, no one would publicly look down on them regardless of their backgrounds. Ruo Manni was excited and looked forward to the opportunity to broaden her horizons.
Previously, Ruo Manni might have worried about what to wear and the proper etiquette. However, after the recent trip to Sirius, where Mrs. Li gifted her a large assortment of clothes covering various styles, she no longer needed to worry about her wardrobe.
Ruo Manni only needed to choose a suitable gown from the twenty or so options she had. The common feature of these gowns was that they were all very expensive, ensuring that she would not appear out of place.
Additionally, since Mrs. Li was a frequent attendee of such high-society events, Ruo Manni simply sent a message, and a pile of relevant etiquette information was promptly sent back. For a top student, studying was the easiest task, and she quickly read through and organized all the information, ensuring she was well-prepared.
Of course, for the elite class to attend, they had to go through a required procedure: applying to their instructor.
Given the Queen’s invitation and the fact that she was Hebrew Adam’s mother, Instructor Dudley had no choice but to approve their outing, despite his reluctance.
As the person fully responsible for their safety during this special period, Instructor Dudley found himself in great distress upon receiving the application. It took him a long time to issue an approval note to Hebrew Adam.
The school leaders were equally troubled when they heard about the matter, but after reporting up the chain, they quickly received the Crown Prince’s personal approval. There was nothing more they could do.
To be honest, these twelve “troublemakers” had been secluded for over two months, and each of them had become somewhat irritable. Everyone agreed that letting them out to get some fresh air would be beneficial, as it might help them regain their focus on their training.
However, letting these troublemakers out wasn’t as simple as just allowing them to go. They had to make numerous private arrangements, which, of course, they wouldn’t disclose to the students. They only emphasized the key points to them repeatedly, advising them to pay attention to their own safety, avoid wandering off or causing trouble, and to be especially cautious of those around them.
