Call Me Akuma

Chapter 21: Impossible

What came next left me utterly stunned. The bamboo forest, which I had thought stretched endlessly for over a mile, was built atop a colossal cathedral-like structure. The forest and the log house were merely the rooftop of this massive edifice. The structure itself was so enormous that the three-to-four-mile-long bamboo forest fit comfortably on its roof. Its towering height seemed to challenge even the tallest skyscrapers from my past life.

The building was breathtaking—monumental and commanding in its presence. I couldn't fathom how such an architectural marvel could exist. The sheer logistics, materials, and engineering required to create something of this magnitude boggled my mind. Trying to comprehend it gave me a headache. It was beyond amazing—a feat that defied all logic and reason.

Surrounding the central structure were numerous other buildings, all interconnected like branches stemming from a singular trunk. Though smaller in size, their design and arrangement only emphasized the supremacy of the central cathedral. It was as if the entire area revolved around this one awe-inspiring centerpiece.

Everything I saw left me in shock, but somehow, I managed to compose myself. In just a few seconds, the hologram in front of me showed that we had moved far beyond the platform—yet it felt like nothing had changed. The ride was so smooth that it seemed as if we hadn't moved at all.

Unwilling to trust the hologram completely, I tried to look outside through the massive window. However, from the angle at which my mother held me, it was impossible to see anything beyond the glass. Despite my skepticism, the hologram on the table continued to display our progress, confirming that we had traveled a great distance.

Then, the hologram shifted, revealing something breathtaking—a full view of the planet I had been living on. Seeing it suspended in the vastness of space, reduced to a small sphere, left me momentarily speechless.

As I processed my thoughts, something even more shocking than my house appeared before me. Thousands of battleships filled the vast expanse of space, each one resembling the iconic Star Destroyers from Star Wars—massive vessels that stretched thousands of feet in length, imposing in their sheer magnitude. Their presence seemed endless, stretching across the horizon like an unbroken wall of power.

But it wasn't just their scale that left me breathless—it was their overwhelming number. At least a thousand of these colossal ships were visible, though I suspected there were countless more hidden behind the vastness of space. Surrounding these giant vessels were what could only be called "smaller" battleships, though "small" was a relative term. Compared to the towering Star Destroyers, these ships appeared compact, but even so, they were immense in their own right—easily one-third the size of the larger battleships.

Each of these smaller ships was unique, their presence radiating different intensities, as though they had individual identities or roles within this massive fleet. Among them, one class of ships stood out to me the most. Though their numbers were in the thousands, they had an utterly distinct and horrifying design. Their hulls were adorned with bones, armor, and swords, transforming them into grotesque trophies of war. Some of these ships displayed the remains of creatures, their flesh still gruesomely clinging to their forms.

These vessels were almost entirely red, as if drenched in blood. Their grotesque aesthetic was more than a visual statement—it exuded ferocity and terror, the embodiment of carnage itself. They were not just war machines; they were symbols of annihilation, their very existence a chilling reminder of the horrors they must have inflicted.

The larger ships radiated majesty and awe, symbols of power and authority. In contrast, the smaller ones embodied chaos and carnage, exuding a primal hunger for blood and war. They were terrifying in their savagery, a reminder of the brutality they represented.

The scale of the fleet was beyond comprehension, its sheer presence crushing against my chest like a physical weight. Smaller ships stretched endlessly in rows, their numbers so vast they seemed to go on forever, filling the infinite void of space like a sea of steel and fire. These smaller vessels outnumbered the colossal Star Destroyer-like ships by a staggering margin, their overwhelming mass creating a suffocating sight of unparalleled military might. It felt as though the very fabric of space itself was consumed by their presence.

In the distance, my eyes caught sight of something even more astonishing—a gargantuan spaceship that dwarfed everything else in its vicinity. It looked less like a battleship and more like an entire military base flying through the emptiness of space. A sprawling cityscape with towering buildings was established on its surface, giving it the appearance of a self-sustaining fortress. Smaller ships had landed on its expansive decks, yet even those enormous vessels appeared like mere insects compared to the scale of the mothership.

This monstrous craft stretched three to four times the length of the largest Star Destroyers I had seen. There were hundreds of them, forming an armada that embodied both majesty and terror—a fleet so vast and powerful that it felt as though it could conquer the entire galaxy.

Akuma's mind raced as he took in the impossible sight. "What kind of fucking hellhole did I stumble into? The enormity of it all made his head spin—was this a dream? Is this a twisted test of his sanity? Am I in Warhammer 40K? Or the Star Wars universe? He almost expected to see a fucking Jedi any second. What kind of twisted reality was I born into? Nothing makes sense... nothing at all!"

The sight before me was overwhelming—a fleet of unimaginable scales stretched endlessly across the vastness of space. Our spacecraft ascended slowly toward one of the largest Star Destroyer-like ships in the fleet, but this one was unlike any other. Its distinctive color scheme—a regal blend of red, purple, and gold—immediately set it apart. While other ships bore similar red and purple tones, none had the intricate golden accents, or the ornate decorations engraved into its hull.

Atop the colossal vessel stood two massive golden eagles, their wings spread, and their claws bared, facing opposite directions as though ready to strike at any who dared oppose them. Along the sides of the ship, elaborate engravings adorned the golden metal, depicting scenes of triumph, power, and dominance. Beneath these, a series of banners and flags fluttered in the vacuum of space, each a testament to its history and prestige.

The banners varied greatly—some displayed mythological creatures like dragons and phoenixes, while others bore symbols of power, such as skulls, swords, lions, and wolves. Each flag was vibrant, adorned with shades of gold, red, and other rich hues, exuding authority and grandeur. Together, they gave the ship an air of luxury, royalty, and absolute command. It was clear that this vessel commanded the respect of every ship in the fleet, radiating an aura of undeniable authority.

As we approached its massive doors, the true scale of the ship became strikingly clear. It stretched over 7,000 feet in length, a leviathan in the void. The colossal metal doors began to slide open with a deep, resonating hum, revealing a vast, cavernous interior. Slowly, our craft entered the ship's immense hangar, and as the doors closed behind us with a soft, finalizing hum, I felt the sheer weight of the power and presence this vessel embodied.
