Chapter 13 Thinking Too Much About Him Will Get You Poisoned
It is from Fu Xing, asking her when she will come home because he wants to sleep.
When she looks up, the car containing Han Siqi and Li Xiaomeng has disappeared. Thinking about her son’s potential insomnia without her company, she has no choice but to tell the taxi driver to take her home.
The next day, Fu Zhengzheng comes to her office early and is lost in reverie in front of her computer for a long time because she does not see Han Siqi and finds nothing about his location from his secretary.
“It was so late. They might either have a date or meet to do something dirty.” Haunted by the scene that Han Siqi and Li Xiaomeng went somewhere in the same car last night, Fu Zhengzheng keeps guessing what happened between the two.
But she shakes her head because no guesses seem to be the real answer.
“Hi, Zhengzheng, do you keep thinking of Siqi?” Knocking her table and blinking, Min Zhongxu asked.
“Absolutely no.” Fu Zhengzheng sits straight up and asks tentatively, “Manager Min, why didn’t Mr. Han come to his office today?”
“He has something to deal with and he will not come today.”
“I see.”
Recognizing Zhengzheng’s anxiety, Min Zhongxu laughs and says, “Siqi is like poison. Thinking too much about him will get you poisoned.”
Get poisoned?
Having searched some information about Min’s personalities, Fu Zhengzheng deliberately compliments him, saying, “Manager Min, you’re so incredible. Mr. Han always scowls at all of us as if we did not do our job well, but he likes you especially.”
“Of course, we’ve spent much of our lifetime together, from the same kindergarten to the same university and to the same company, namely Wei Han.” Min enjoys others’ compliments.
“But your competence is hard for us to compete with.” Seeing Min’s satisfaction, Fu Zhengzheng asks, “You have always been together when you were at school?”
“Yes, always. Hi, I’m coming! Zhengzheng, we will talk about this next time.” Answering people outside, Min leaves happily.
Nian Xi has been locked in a chamber for ten years and Han Siqi may be not Nian Xi. Thinking about this, Fu Zhengzheng feels disappointed again.
Keeping telling herself her identity and duty, she cannot feel unburdened, as if a heavy stone was put on her heart. She has nothing to do so she leaves her office early to pick her son up from his kindergarten.
“Why does not daddy come with you?” Fu Xing looks around, disappointed without his daddy’s presence.
Fu Zhengzheng suddenly loses her temper and says, “Han Siqi is not your biological father and he has no duty to get you home every day. Only your biological mother, namely me, will come here on time every day.”
“Mommy, why are you so angry? I was just asking and it does not matter whether he comes here every day. Come on, don’t be so mad. Ahhh…” Fu Xing wants to touch Fu Zhengzheng but is tripped over by a stone.
Fu Zhengzheng at once tries to help her son, only to find that her high-heeled shoes touch another stone and she loses her balance, with her hands presses on those scattered stones.
Overhaul of parterres on both sides leads to some stones nearby.
Oh, the hell shoes!
Fu Zhengzheng is not accustomed to wearing high-heeled shoes but at work, she has no choice. After her falling down, she, with pain in hands, is regretful.
“Mommy, your hands are bleeding. Let us hurry to the hospital!” Clustering his mother’s hands, Fu Xing cried nervously.
Her son’s care makes her satisfied. She touches her hands with tissues and shakes her hands, saying, “That does not matter. I can handle this.”
But Fu Xing means it. He points to a hospital nearby and drags her mother there. He reckons that his behavior leads to his mother’s falling down; he, as a man, should take good care of her mother and her mother will get infected if nothing protects her wound.
“You are making a fuss!” Feeling happy inside, Fu Zhengzheng does not want his son to worry about her and goes to the hospital with his son to handle her wound.
“Mommy, let me take care of your bag!” Fu Xing takes his mother’s bag on his shoulder.
When they are going out of the hospital, Fu Xing cries, “Look, Mommy! It is daddy!”
