BULLET HEAVEN

Chapter 18: Chapter 19: Crimson Orbit

From orbit, the world of Nyx-Vorne was just a dying ember—glowing red with fallout, ringed with broken moons. But RAID didn't care about scenery. He was after something worse than god.

A traitor.

One of the original architects of the Council. A being who left his throne to play both sides.

His name: Zenith Vallis.

And RAID had come to collect his bones.

I. THE HUNGER ARRAY

The moment they descended, the world tried to consume them.

Mech-swarms poured from old orbital mines, fused with corrupted AI. The air smelled like copper and molten sin.

Talis screamed through comms. "They're feeding on mech signals!"

"Then let's feed them something spicy," RAID growled.

Sovereign Red switched to Overload Cascade mode—unleashing pulse after pulse of raw war-energy that shattered the swarm in tidal bursts.

RAID dove into their core hive and ignited his boosters in close quarters. Fire bloomed in the sky.

He grinned. "I'm not a signal. I'm interference."

II. THE HOLLOW GOD

At the center of the Nyx ruins, they found it.

Zenith Vallis. Once divine. Now a withered, broken god in a throne made from severed timelines. Mech-appendages curled like roots through history.

"You survived," Zenith said, voice like rotting static. "You were never meant to."

RAID walked toward him.

"I've survived gods, ghosts, and time itself," he said. "You're next."

Zenith rose, his mech-body fusing with the ruins—becoming a multi-limbed colossus of broken code and heretical divinity.

RAID didn't flinch.

He leapt.

They clashed above the broken sky, sword against entropy.

Zenith fired reality shards—RAID shattered them with taunts.

"You betray gods and think you're clever?" RAID roared. "You're just a glitch with an ego!"

III. BURNING BETRAYAL

Zenith struck Talis mid-battle, piercing her cockpit through the flank.

RAID froze for a second.

Then exploded.

Sovereign Red went full berserk-mode: plating glowed white-hot, voice modulators screamed in rage. He charged like a collapsing star, hammering Zenith down, blow after blow, each strike fueled by vengeance.

"I trusted one person in this hell multiverse!" RAID bellowed.

"You just pissed her off!"

He ripped Zenith's core out and crushed it in his fist.

Silence.

The ground cracked. The throne crumbled.

IV. AFTERFIRE

RAID carried Talis out of her smoking mech. She was alive, barely.

She coughed. "Still think you're not sentimental?"

RAID smirked. "No. I just hate traitors more than I like gods."

He looked up as an emergency beacon lit up in the sky.

Another Council fortress had gone active.

Next target confirmed.
