Chapter 7: Great Opportunity
"Hmmm!" Arthur fell silent, his mind racing as he processed Emily's words.
Emily, the financial manager of the Osborn Group, was responsible for overseeing all the group's finances. However, with only the Osborn Real Estate Company still standing, the pressure was on. Thankfully, his second uncle served as the general manager there and had been pivotal in keeping the company afloat—without him, it might have already faced bankruptcy.
Arthur glanced at Emily and pulled out a bank card from his pocket. "Aunt," he said earnestly, "there's 5 million Unicreds on this card. Please pay off the loan and use whatever's left to support the company for now."
Both Emily and Nathaniel were momentarily taken aback, surprise flickering in their eyes like candle flames in a drafty room.
"Arthur! Where did you get this kind of money? Did you do something illegal?" Nathaniel asked quickly, scrutinizing Arthur with concern.
Arthur felt a wave of frustration wash over him. Why did everyone jump to conclusions? First Ashley and now his uncle and aunt! "No! You don't need to worry; this is completely legal," he reassured them with a wave of his hand. "Just use the money without any concerns."
"Okay, if that's what you say," Nathaniel replied with a sigh of relief and a smile breaking through his earlier tension.
"Aunt," Arthur continued seriously, locking eyes with Emily, "once you pay off the loan, cut all ties with Nova Capital Bank."
"Understood," Emily nodded firmly.
"And Uncle," Arthur added while glancing at Nathaniel, "don't put any land up for sale anymore—we'll develop it ourselves."
"Sounds good!" Nathaniel smiled back enthusiastically.
"Alright then! We'll get things moving right away!" Emily said cheerfully as she waved the bank card at Arthur before heading out.
"Go ahead!" Arthur chuckled warmly as they walked out together with Ashley.
As he settled back into his chair, leaning against its comfortable embrace, Arthur found himself lost in thought.
Arthur, lost in thought, suddenly spoke to the system, "Transfer the stock information into mind."
[Yes, Host!]
[Transferring information...]
[Transfer complete...]
In an instant, a torrent of data surged into Arthur's mind. Surprisingly, he felt only a mild tingling at the back of his head instead of the expected pain.
Taking a deep breath, he focused on the stock information now swirling in his thoughts.
[Aurora Technology is a cutting-edge company specializing in artificial intelligence located in Neo-Luminara. On February 24th, 2029, its stock is projected to skyrocket from 20 Unicreds per share to 100 Unicreds within just two days due to a groundbreaking technological breakthrough. However, this claim is nothing but a fabrication by the CEOan elaborate ruse designed to inflate stock prices for shareholders. When the truth comes out on the third day, the stock will plummet from 100 Unicreds to a mere 4 Unicreds.]
Arthur's brow furrowed as he processed this information.
Stock speculation was uncharted territory for him; he had never dabbled in it before and had no idea how valuable this insight might be.
With a bitter smile and a shake of his head, he pulled out his phone and began searching online.
"Damn! It looks like I need to brush up on my financial knowledge or I'll end up being a joke," he muttered as his fingers danced across the screen
The previous Arthur also do not have any knowledge about stocks at all he was a complete rockie,he only studies management.
Twenty minutes later, Arthur's eyes widened with shock and excitement.
His body trembled as an uncontrollable grin spread across his face, he could hardly contain himself!
"Hahahahahahaha!" He erupted into laughter that echoed through the soundproof office. If it weren't for those walls, passersby might have thought he'd lost his mind.
"I'm rich! I'm rich!" Arthur shouted joyfully as he clenched his fists in triumph. "System, I love you!"
He couldn't believe how lucrative this piece of information could be! If everything went according to plan, if he played his cards right, the potential profits would be astronomical.
He realized that this is simply a great opportunity for him to save the Osborn Family and even have some capital left to develop the Osborn Family for the time being.
Although he couldn't calculate exactly how much he'd earn yet, leveraging it five or even ten times would yield life-changing amounts for him and the Osborn family.
Taking a moment to calm down after that exhilarating revelation, Arthur checked today's date: "It's February 23rd! That means tomorrow is D-Day!"
His heart raced with anticipation as determination filled him.
With renewed focus, he powered up his computer and dove deep into research about stocks, especially short selling, as he'd decided to short sell Aurora Technology starting tomorrow.
Time slipped away unnoticed until Ashley knocked on the door.
"Brother! The company is about to close; aren't you going home? It's getting late!" she called out as she entered and found him glued to his screen.
"Huh!" Arthur exclaimed, momentarily taken aback as he gazed out the glass window.
The sun was already dipping below the horizon, and faint stars began to twinkle in the twilight sky.
He couldn't believe how quickly time had flown by while he was engrossed in work.
Turning his attention to Ashley, he stood up from his chair and powered down his computer.
"Come on, let's head home," he said with a warm smile as they both left the office and made their way to the elevator.
"Brother, I'm so envious of you! That Aether GT of yours is really amazing, I really want one!" Ashley remarked, her eyes sparkling with admiration as she pointed at the Aether GT sleek car parked quietly outside.
Arthur chuckled softly. "Don't worry; once we get through this tough patch, I'll make sure to buy you one."
"Really?" Ashley's eyes lit up with excitement at his words.
"Absolutely! It's a promise," Arthur replied with a nod.
He pressed the Aether GT car key that the security guard had just handed him and grinned. "Now hop in; let's get home!"
With a delighted squeal, Ashley covered her mouth with her dainty hand before sliding into the passenger seat.
Arthur shook his head playfully before settling into the driver's seat.
With a simple yet powerful roar, the Aether GT transformed into a streak of blue and silver as it sped out of the parking lot and onto the road towards Osborn Mansion.
