Chapter 14
Wave five had five thousand monsters. This time, large bird like monsters, with one giant claw, dropped rocks onto our base. We were safe as long as we shot them down before they were over the base.
Our walls suffered quite a bit of damage from the charging boars, and the metal gate had a dent, but I repaired them and improved them.
On day six, I created ten FLaK 88, operated by fifty units, to protect our skies. They proved to be very effective, though sometimes the large birds dropped their rocks before being shot down.
At level 18, I had about one thousand eight hundred unused units. Currently, we have enough to defend our one base; however, when we do expand, they would come to good use.

It was the seventh day, the final day.
The espionage unit managed to make contact with the chosen Lord. I spoke through the unit and managed to come to a deal. We would provide supplies and reinforcements as long as he pledged allegiance to me and cut off all ties with the Empire. We were in the process of drawing up a contract.
I created another twenty Huey helicopters and sent those along with a Chinook carrying tonnes of supplies and a mixed group of units, mainly combat units.
When our convoy of supplies and troops arrived. The food and water were handed out to the people, and the units set up defensive positions. I had the units use human faces so that the people would not be scared of them.
I learnt that whilst I had to fight against seven thousand, the Lord's army so far only had to fight a thousand at most. I might have a clue about the ones pulling the strings behind our absurd number of monsters.
But anyways, the Lord thanked us profusely. I should remember his name instead of calling him the Lord; I think it was Howdart or something.
Wave seven was the hardest. Several new monsters emerged: a giant grasshopper that nearly managed to jump over the wall, pterodactyl-like monsters would swoop in and grab units with their mouths or claws. And then there was our good friend, the giant minotaur, and his new group of minotaur friends.
We learnt that the now enormous giant was a higher minotaur species called Minotaur King. They have much higher intelligence and strength to lead their army. Typically a Minotaur King army would be leading an army in the thousands, but it would seem that this one was in the middle of building his army when we intervened during our hostage rescue op.
All the minotaurs were highly aggressive, and it would seem that the power of the Blood moon also made them taller and more muscular than before.
At first, the minotaurs threw large bits of rocks; then, trees were pulled off the ground and then thrown at the wall.
For the first time, we had a hole in the wall. Thankfully it was nowhere near the houses, and only a couple of units were destroyed. The monsters began to all focus on that gap between our walls. But with our large amount of heavy firing, we obliterated them.
The M40 rifles, and anti-tank mines, were the most effective weapons against the minotaurs and their durable body.
The Minotaur King took down dozens of units before it had its feet blown off by explosives. Then a single round from the M40 RCL went through its eyes and exploded its skull.
We managed to survive the whole apocalypse; my level was now 20, and there was something else, I could now make arms made before 1980.
