580 billion berries!

Duke stared at the massive wealth displayed on the system panel, his eyes practically turning into the shape of money in excitement.

Of the more than 50.8 billion berries in wealth, over 30 billion came from the assets of the Funeral Home.

In comparison, the total wealth that Totto Land could mobilize was less than 20 billion berries.

For a Four Emperor like Big Mom to have less wealth than a king of the dark underworld? It was... a little embarrassing, to say the least.

But then Duke thought about how Big Mom's islands were run: her tribute system relied on desserts, while the residents of her territories paid taxes in the form of their life spans. When he considered it from that perspective, it actually made sense.

"At least Big Mom is richer than Whitebeard," Duke muttered, trying to console himself.

Whitebeard commanded vast territories across the New World and offered protection to countless islands. But most of those islands, like Fish-Man Island, operated under a free sponsorship system.

No wonder Whitebeard had the largest territory and the greatest reputation in the New World. Who wouldn't love a benefactor who provided protection without charging a single berry?

"But among the Four Emperors, Big Mom is still the richest, right?" Duke's expression shifted as he thought it through.

Whitebeard's lack of funds was understandable, and Shanks spent most of his time wandering the seas and throwing parties. With a small crew and limited territory, he didn't exactly scream "wealthy."

Then there was Kaido. With his operations in Wano Country, Kaido could earn hundreds of billions each year from the seastone mines alone.

The problem? Kaido was obsessed with creating a "zoo."

Practically all the profits from the seastone mines were poured into manufacturing artificial Devil Fruits.

And as for his financial state? It was bad enough that, after hearing that Sky Island actually existed, Kaido immediately flew there to raid the Golden Bell and steal its treasures.

A Four Emperor raiding Sky Island personally? That's how desperate for cash Kaido had become.

"If it weren't for money troubles, would Kaido ever stoop that low?" Duke wondered.

And then there was Big Mom, who quietly collected desserts and souls while rarely spending much. Could it be that, out of all the Four Emperors, Big Mom was actually the wealthiest?

"In the world of the Four Emperors, the effort doesn't match the rewards at all," Duke sighed deeply, feeling disillusioned.

His earlier enthusiasm for aiding Gangplank, overthrowing the remaining Four Emperors, and controlling the New World had all but vanished.

After all, the Grand Line and the New World only made up a fraction of the entire pirate world.

Eighty percent of the wealth and population in the entire pirate world are concentrated in the Four Seas.

Although Duke felt slightly let down by the relative poverty of the Four Emperors, the sheer sight of over 50 billion berries' worth of wealth right before him reignited his excitement.

He meticulously prepared himself for the moment—bathing and burning incense with great care, scrubbing himself clean, especially his hands, until his skin was nearly white.

For good measure, he even offered a stick of incense to Big Mom, who now resembled an 800-pound baby, as a gesture to "borrow" some of the Four Emperors' luck.

With everything in place, Duke slammed the lottery button with enthusiasm.

"System, give me an SS-level lottery!"

"Come on, Star Casting Dragon King!" Duke prayed fervently.

When the results appeared, Duke's face broke into a wide grin.

[SS-Level Prize Drawn!]

20 billion wealth consumed. Congratulations, Host! You have won the hero: Soraka, the Starchild!

Soraka:

Grade: 1 Strength: B+ Physique: A- Agility: A- Spirit: A Potential: SS- (with the possibility of rising to SS+) Equipment Owned: None Abilities: Meteor Fall, Star Infusion, Astral Barrier, Prayer, and more. Overall Rating: A-

Background:

Soraka, an immortal star spirit, is the Starchild and a manifestation of the stars themselves. Though born with eternal life, she chose to relinquish her godhood to alleviate the suffering of mortals, donning a mortal body of flesh and blood.

However, once Soraka fulfills her long-cherished wish, her celestial powers will awaken fully, and her SS- potential will rise to SS+. The stars will shine brightly in her honor, heralding the return of the true Starchild.

"Nanny? No... Soraka the Starchild?"

Duke blinked in surprise. "Her current potential is SS-, but if she fulfills her wish, it'll jump to SS+ instantly?"

"This is a direct win!"

He laughed triumphantly. "Hahaha! With two heroes of SS potential in hand, all I need now is one more SS-level hero. Once they're all maxed out..."

Duke's grin widened as he envisioned the future.

"...I'll have enough power to topple the World Government itself!"

"System, give me another SS-level lottery," Duke demanded, his excitement barely contained.

"No need to bring the Dragon King this time. Just give me another ascended star spirit or a dark descendant, and we're set..."

With trembling hands, Duke pressed the lottery button once more.

He couldn't help but think of the World Government's ultimate trump cards:

Im, the shadowy figure who has lived for centuries, with combat power that surpasses even the Four Emperors and likely at an SS-level. Uranus, the Ancient Weapon, a force of destruction potentially capable of SS-level devastation.

Duke's calculations were clear:

One SS-level hero and one SS- would be enough to stand on equal footing with the World Government. Add one more SS- hero, and he could surpass their power, kill Im, or neutralize Uranus. With this, full control of the world would be within reach.

The vision of world domination filled Duke with anticipation. His hands shook as he stared at the lottery result on the system panel.

But when the prize was revealed, his excitement evaporated instantly.

[S-Level Prize Drawn!]

20 billion wealth consumed. Congratulations, Host! You have won: General Manager Catarina Devon!

Duke's enthusiasm sank. General Manager Catarina Devon, with S-level potential, was certainly no weakling, especially compared to other heroes.

Currently, Valoran Manor did need someone reliable to maintain security. Capone Bege could handle minor threats, but against strong enemies, he'd likely lose his life.

Catarina Devon, a walking humanoid prison and storage locker, could fill this gap well.

But still...

"I spent 20 billion berries, and you gave me an S-level hero?"

Duke's mind filled with words not fit for polite company. Of course, as a disciplined young man, he wouldn't say them aloud.

Instead, he silently cursed Big Mom—yes, Big Mom. Clearly, all of this misfortune was her fault.

Gathering his composure, Duke looked at the remaining 10.8 billion wealth on the system panel.

Determined, he washed his hands again, scrubbing them until they were practically glowing.

"System, give me ten S-level draws, right now!" he declared, slamming the button.

"If one draw makes me look bad, then ten surely can't, right?"

Duke had a new plan. While SS-level heroes were key to ultimate hegemony, he also needed a diverse roster of heroes to generate wealth.

The pirate world was vast, and a handful of heroes couldn't manage everything. If he wanted to dominate both the seas and the economy, he needed more hands on deck.

"This time, let's see how the dice roll!" Duke grinned, his excitement returning as the system began processing his ten-draw request.
