Chapter 25: One of The Best

"You're not choosing the first two prizes?" The Protoss glanced at Jiang Fan and said, "To be frank, these two types of rewards don't exist in your star field. Even later on, it's rare to encounter them, let alone obtain them."

"There are 3 prizes in total," Jiang Fan smiled and said, "I want to know about all three prizes."

"It's a wise decision."

"Why the rush, Elder?"

"..."

"Is the third item something you don't want me to obtain?"

"Haha!" Hearing Jiang Fan's question, the Protoss chuckled instead of getting angry. Shaking his head gently, he said, "What do you take me for? I'm just an old Protoss. No matter how valuable or rare these prizes are, they're of no use to me. This third prize isn't particularly precious; for many, it's even useless."

"Oh? What's the prize?" Jiang Fan asked curiously.

The Protoss adopted a serious expression. "It's a ferry ticket."

"A ferry ticket?" Jiang Fan blinked, even more intrigued.

"Exactly," The Protoss confirmed, "It's a ticket." Seeing Jiang Fan's puzzled expression, the Protoss paused briefly before continuing, "Do you know how vast your Endless Star Territory is?"

"I don't," Jiang Fan admitted, shaking his head.

This wasn't just his lack of knowledge; even the Palace Master of the Star Palace and the Empire, among the most knowledgeable in the Endless Star Territory, couldn't answer this question. Countless Level 6 Planet Masters had explored the territory for millennia without ever reaching its end. Some vanished without a trace, lost in its expanse.

"For those of us within this Territory..." The Protoss smiled, "it's impossible to know. We only know it's endless, but in reality, it's not."

"Oh?" Jiang Fan blinked, his curiosity piqued.

"I've traveled extensively," The Protoss continued, "And every star field, no matter its size, has its limits. It can't truly be endless. The perpetual exploration is due to the periphery of the star field, a desolate void where life scarcely exists. This void truly has no end. What you call the Endless Star Territory is, in fact, an Endless Void."

Jiang Fan's eyes widened, surprised by this revelation.

"This void is immense," The Protoss sighed, "Even a Level 6 Planet Master couldn't traverse it without getting lost."

"So, Level 6 Planet Masters can't navigate this void?" Jiang Fan clarified.

"Exactly," the Protoss affirmed, "Have you heard any news from outside?"

"No," Jiang Fan replied, realization dawning. According to the Protoss, beyond the Endless Star Territory lay other star fields.

Simultaneously, Jiang Fan realized that the ferry ticket likely had something to do with this.
