Soon, the doors opened, and Xiao Feng and his companions came out.

"Is there something you need?" Xiao Feng asked, pretending to be confused, though he wasn't surprised at all. He had already used his mind-reading technique to hear Elder Qing's thoughts. He was simply feigning curiosity!

Even if they hadn't encountered Elder Qing today, Xiao Feng would have found a way to get in touch with the Heavenly Serpent Estate eventually. After all, the founder of the Heavenly Serpent Estate possessed the Triple Jade-Green Snake Flower Pupils, which would provide the best cultivation resources for Qing Lin.

"We're not selling!"

Before Xiao Feng could respond, Qing Lin interrupted, "No matter how much you offer, we won't sell our master!"

"Master?" Elder Qing's eyes showed a hint of confusion.

"Qing Yu, I advise you not to waste your time," a familiar voice suddenly said. The Eight-Winged Black Serpent Emperor slithered out from Qing Lin's sleeve. "This Seven-Colored Heaven Swallowing Python is the evolved form of Queen Medusa, and my master is her direct disciple. There's no way she would sell it."

"Lord Baiya?!" Elder Qing's pupils contracted in surprise as she looked at the thumb-sized Eight-Winged Black Serpent Emperor. "How are you here?"

Although a sixth-tier magical beast couldn't take human form, its intelligence rivalled that of humans. Thus, the Eight-Winged Black Serpent Emperor held a status in the Heavenly Serpent Estate comparable to that of an inner elder, surpassing the rank of outer elders like Qing Yu.

The estate master will personally take you as a disciple, and you will become the young master of our estate. You'll have access to all our cultivation resources and secret techniques that are perfectly suited for your Triple Jade-Green Snake Flower Pupils."

"No, I already have a master," Qing Lin refused without hesitation. "My master is Queen Medusa, and I am also the holy maiden of the Serpent Clan. I can't become the young master of your estate."

"Miss Qing Lin, there's no rule that says you can only have one master," Elder Qing tried to persuade her. "And being the young master of our estate doesn't conflict with being the holy maiden of the Serpent Clan. Many powerful figures have more than one allegiance."
