Brothel Manager 2 :Path of DUAL CULTIVATION

Chapter 88: Recommendation Letter!

"What did you say? You dare to—" Yao Fan raised his stick high, ready to bring it down on Mo Han's shoulder.

But before the stick could descend, Mo Han moved.

It was a simple step, but the air shifted. His foot pressed against the earth and his eyes locked onto Yao Fan's. "If you try to strike me, then today I will die here. But before I die… I will take your life with me." Mo Han said, his voice low, each word deliberate.

The courtyard trembled with the intensity of his words. Even the leaves of the Aruna tree rustled as though sensing the killing intent hidden beneath Mo Han's calm exterior.

Fatty Lambu gawked, his bread falling from his hand. "Brother Mo…" he whispered, trembling, "are you planning to murder the sect master's son before breakfast?!"

Yao Fan's face paled. For a moment, the sneer froze on his lips. He looked into Mo Han's eyes and what he saw there was not bluff or fear, but the abyss of someone who meant every single word. A man willing to burn everything, even his own life, to fulfill his promise.

Yao Fan's throat tightened. His fingers trembled slightly, the raised stick refusing to fall. In his chest, his heart thumped wildly, screaming at him to retreat.

"You…!" He tried to form words, but his voice cracked. His pride clashed against his fear, and in the end, fear won. His arm lowered slowly. He took two steps back, then another, until his back almost hit the stone wall.

Mo Han didn't move. He simply stood there, watching, silent as a mountain, unyielding as fate.

Yao Fan's lips quivered. He swallowed hard, his Adam's apple bobbing. For a split-second, he felt the weight of death pressing against his neck-like an invisible blade.

"Hmph!" Yao Fan finally forced out, though his voice lacked its earlier arrogance. "Don't think this is over! A servant daring to glare at me… You'll regret this." He spun on his heel and rushed out of the courtyard, his two followers scurrying after him like startled dogs.

Silence settled again.

Fatty Lambu's knees almost gave out. He grabbed Mo Han's sleeve with trembling fingers. "Brother Mo! Are you insane?! That was Yao Fan! The sect master's son! If he complains to his father, we'll be roasted like chickens!"

Mo Han sat back down beneath the Aruna tree as if nothing had happened. "Fatty, there are only two kinds of men in this world: those who bow, and those who stand. I choose to stand. Even if it means facing death."

Fatty gulped. "Stand, bow, whatever you want… but next time, at least warn me so I won't panic!"

Mo Han chuckled faintly, his eyes closing.

Pink Blossom Tree Sect…

Su Kai, draped in a simple but graceful elder robe, walked with her daughter Jia Kai by her side.

Su Kai finally broke the silence as they walked the stone path toward the sect hall. "Jia'er… for once, I truly feel relieved. That boy, Mo Han… unlike others, he won't let my daughters waste their lives in mediocrity. He's the only one who has the potential to shake the heavens."

Jia Kai smiled faintly. "Mother, I've seen his determination with my own eyes. Even if the entire sect collapses, even if the whole world opposes him… he will never bow. That kind of man is rare."

Her mother's lips curled into a small, satisfied smile. "That's why I've decided. You and your sister will go with him. I will not tether you here."

The two reached the carved wooden doors of the main sect hall, guarded by two elder disciples who immediately bowed at Su Kai's presence. The doors creaked open, revealing the Pink Blossom Sect Matriarch, Shijin, seated calmly on a raised dais. Her white hair fell gracefully behind her, and her eyes—sharp yet soft—lifted to study Su Kai and Jia Kai.

"Jia Kai…??" The mastriarch was surprised as Jia Kai didn't show up her face inside the sect.

"What brings you here so suddenly?" the matriarch asked in a steady tone.

Su Kai bowed respectfully. "Matriarch, we came to speak about my daughters' futures. Mo Han, the one who cultivated with my young daughter, has decided to step onto the path of dual cultivation. He wishes to join the Eternal Night Mansion. I wish for both my daughters to accompany him."

The matriarch's eyes narrowed ever so slightly. She folded her hands together. "Eternal Night Mansion…" A long silence stretched, until she finally sighed. "There is a small problem. Someone within is… playing games, rejecting our people when they arrive at their gates. Even our most promising disciple two years ago was denied, despite her talent."

Su Kai's expression hardened, though she remained respectful. Jia Kai stepped forward boldly, unwilling to let the opportunity slip away.

"Matriarch, with respect—if Eternal Night Mansion rejects us, it will be their loss. Not ours. Mo Han carries a heavenly-ranked dual cultivation body constitution. If they turn him away, then they are fools unworthy of such a disciple. And as for me—my talent will not go wasted. If I cannot enter there, I can always join another sect. My path will not end here."

The matriarch raised her brows, surprised at Jia Kai's decisiveness. Su Kai watched silently, pride flashing in her eyes at her daughter's confidence.

"Jia'er," the matriarch said finally, her lips curving faintly, "you have grown… your words are sharp, but they carry truth. A heavenly-ranked physique is not something one throws aside lightly."

Su Kai bowed again. "That is why I came to you, Matriarch Shijin. If you can provide even the smallest support—a recommendation letter—it will open doors when they arrive at Eternal Night Mansion. The boy is unusual. If nurtured, he may one day stand among the great figures of this realm."

The matriarch tapped her fingers against her armrest, deep in thought. The hall was quiet except for the faint rustling of petals against the windows. Finally, she nodded.

"Very well. Bring this Mo Han to me tomorrow. I will draft a recommendation under the Pink Blossom Tree Sect seal. If he truly carries the heavenly constitution, then Eternal Night Mansion will have no excuse to turn him away. If they still reject him…" Her eyes gleamed like tempered steel. "Then it shall be their eternal regret."

Jia Kai's lips curled in a small victorious smile. "Thank you, Matriarch."

Su Kai placed her hand over her chest in gratitude.

The matriarch lifted her hand dismissively. "Enough, go. I expect to meet this Mo Han soon."

With that, Su Kai and Jia Kai bowed once more before leaving the hall. As they stepped back into the courtyard, Jia Kai inhaled deeply, relief crossing her face.

"See, Mother? It will work out."

Su Kai chuckled softly, though her eyes glistened with unshed emotion. "I only hope your sister Chi Kai has the courage to follow through. If both of you leave me at once, this courtyard will be unbearably quiet…"

Jia Kai smiled faintly, squeezing her mother's hand. "You raised us well, Mother. We will not disappoint you."
