Brothel Manager 2 :Path of DUAL CULTIVATION

Chapter 72: Sacred Dual Cultivation!

"Where are you coming from at this time? It's already late night." Mo Han asked while feeding the mountain eagle.

She was silent for a second, a mischievous flicker crossing her face, but her-voice remained calm. "I'm coming from the Pink Blossom Tree."

His brow furrowed slightly. "At this hour? Why?"

Jia Kai clasped her hands behind her back and tilted her head. "Of course—to meet my sister, Chi Kai. I spoke with my mother and sister tonight. We have already set up a date for the dual cultivation session."

Mo Han blinked, taken aback by her casual tone. "Dual cultivation session?" His voice grew sharp. "Why are you doing this now? What is so urgent?"

Jia Kai's expression shifted, her playful demeanor hardening into something serious. Her voice lowered as though she were revealing a heavy secret. "It's already too late for my sister, Chi Kai. Her body constitution is unique, but if she delays further, her spiritual veins will close-forever. Out of everyone she could have chosen, you are the only one with the perfect matching constitution for dual cultivation. That's why I can't waste time now."

Mo Han's lips pressed into a thin line as the mountain breeze rustled his hair. He looked at her with quiet intensity, unsure whether to believe or resist. Jia Kai continued, her tone tinged with urgency.

"You already promised to cultivate with my sister Chi Kai. I hope you haven't forgotten your words. My sister has been prepared for this, waiting only for my mother agreement."

Mo Han remained silent for a long moment, his gaze fixed on the shadow of the towering Spirit Mountain Eagle that rested nearby, its feathers shimmering faintly under moonlight. Finally, he spoke, his voice calm but firm.

"I'm always ready to keep my promises, Jia Kai. I don't have any objection to dual cultivating with your sister." His eyes narrowed slightly as he took a step closer, his tone shifting into something heavier. "But tell me—why are you so eager to make your sister… sleep with me?"

Jia Kai's body stiffened at his words. Her eyes, wide with surprise at first, quickly narrowed into slits as she regarded him with unreadable intent. The cold glimmer in her gaze clashed with the moonlight, revealing a side of her Mo Han had never seen before.

"Why are you thinking like this? Really, I do not understand. Many treat dual cultivation as a base indulgence, a shortcut, or even... corruption of the Dao."

A faint smile curved her lips, but there was no mockery in it—only patience, like an elder explaining to a child who had never seen the stars. She gestured to the stone bench beneath the flowering plum tree. They sat opposite each other, the moonlight falling in scattered petals around them.

"Those who see only the body see only desire," Jia Kai began, her eyes reflecting the glow of the moon as if it were held within them. "But true dual cultivation is not the union of bodies—it is the union of essence, spirit, and fate."

Her words were slow, like each one had been weighed before being released.

"When two cultivators of equal heart and harmonious qi join, their energies do not merely mix—they resonate. Just as two zithers tuned to the same pitch will cause each other's strings to hum, so too will their spiritual roots echo one another. The impurities in one's meridians are gently worn away by the other's flow, and the stagnant pools of qi are stirred into movement."

She leaned forward slightly, her tone deepening. "But it is dangerous. If the hearts are not aligned, if one harbors greed or impurity, the resonance becomes chaos. Yin devours Yang, Yang scorches Yin, and both walk the path to ruin."

Mo Han's brow furrowed. "So... it is not simply about cultivating faster?"

Jia Kai shook her head slowly. "Speed is the shallowest gift. The true sacredness lies in what cannot be bought or stolen—the rare miracle when two souls, walking separate paths, step in rhythm together. In that moment, the Dao itself bears witness. Heaven's qi descends. Not to feed the body... but to refine the soul."

The night breeze carried the faint ring of a distant temple bell. Somewhere, a candle guttered and went out, leaving the courtyard awash in silver light.

Jia Kai's narrowed eyes softened, though not with shame—rather with a mixture of urgency and determination. She took a step closer, her figure illuminated by the faint glow of the moon.

"You think I'm shameless, don't you?" she said quietly, but her voice carried strength. "Pushing my own sister into your arms without hesitation… But you don't understand, Mo Han. For Chi Kai, this isn't about desire, nor family honor. It's about survival."

Mo Han's brows furrowed. His grip on the eagle's feathered reins tightened. "Survival?"

"Yes." Jia Kai nodded, her gaze unwavering. "Her cultivation has reached a special bottleneck. Because she practices dual cultivation methods without actually receiving Yang! No pills, no spirit herbs, no meditation can help her break through. If she fails to advance within the next half year, her meridians will collapse under the strain of her own Yin qi. She will die, Mo Han."

The words struck like a thunderclap.

Mo Han exhaled slowly, the gravity of the situation sinking in. Yet his question remained, sharper than before.

"I don't know much about dual cultivation?"

At that, Jia Kai reached into her robes. From the inner folds, she produced a thin jade-bound manual, the cover engraved with golden characters that shimmered faintly in the moonlight: "The Essence Harmony Sutra."

"This," she said, placing it in Mo Han's hands, "is a Dual Cultivation manual, passed down from my family. It is incomplete for ordinary partners, but for a man with your constitution, it becomes perfect. The sutra is clear: Chi Kai requires a valuable partner. You, who has Yin-Yang body constitution can definitely help her. Only then can her bottleneck shatter."

Mo Han's fingers brushed against the cool jade surface. His eyes lingered on the golden letters before rising back to Jia Kai.

"You may not realize it, but your promise is her only hope. My mom already agreed."

Mo Han stood still, his eyes flickering between the manual and Jia Kai's desperate expression.

A heavy silence stretched, broken only by the eagle's restless rustle of feathers.
