Chapter 55: Saving The Treasure!
"3300 spirit stones… going once… twice… going thrice… sold to room number 13." Soya announced with an excited cry.
"Yes, yes, yes!" Fatty Lambu punched the air with a loud cheer.
"What are you so excited about?" Jia Kai asked Fatty with a smiling face.
"Of course, sister Jia Kai! We made a big fortune. 3300 spirit stones is not a small sum," Fatty cried out.
"500 spirit stones gone for the chicken egg, and another thousand to know the body constitution. We're only left with 1800. Are you still happy?" Jia Kai asked with a bit of a glare.
"Hahaha… 1800 is still a large number of spirit stones. We can feast for months," Fatty Lambu said with the same excitement.
"Ohhh… do you think so? But I really wonder which item Mo Han is going to buy with the remaining 1800 spirit stones." Jia Kai finally splashed cold water on Fatty's hopes.
Fatty's shoulders slumped after hearing her reply. Even though 1800 spirit stones were a lot, he became sad after realizing Mo Han was definitely going to spend them on some stupid egg.
"Brother Han, please don't buy anything. All these treasures won't be useful to us. You already have a good sword and the Sun Piercing Sword Technique. You don't need anything else," Fatty said in a persuasive tone while standing beside Mo Han.
But to his disappointment, Mo Han only turned his head and smiled ambiguously.
That smile clearly stated that he would definitely spend the remaining stones too.
Fatty almost put on a crying face. "Brother Han, I'm saying this for your own good. I know it's your money, but please think twice before spending it," Fatty said in a pampering tone.
Mo Han finally opened his mouth as Fatty continued to pester him. "Okay, okay… I will definitely not spend everything."
But Jia Kai smirked after hearing his answer.

At the Khan Family Auction Grounds, the selling of items continued non-stop.
Up until now, rooms number 13 and 8 were the biggest spenders.
Some young cultivators in the crowd were able to buy a few things they had specifically come for.
Slowly, time passed as the wind vanished into the stomachs of the spectators.
Finally, after selling the high-rank defensive talisman for 2500 spirit stones, Soya clapped her hands.
Immediately, three beautiful servant girls carried big gold plates covered with shiny velvet silk cloth.
"I know every one of you came from thousands of miles just to see these three items. My Khan Family guarantees that you won't be disappointed in your journey.
Let's not waste your precious time. The first mysterious item is… the mighty spear named Fire Bolt. It was cast by the Dwarf Smiths of the Heavenly Abode."
"What?"
"That's impossible…"
"The Dwarf Smiths only cast weapons for cultivators higher than Grandmasters. Why would they make a weapon for a small cultivator?" Immediately, Elder Ji stood up and questioned in an authoritative tone.
"Yes, yes, it must be fake."
More and more complaints followed as people began doubting the authenticity of the weapon.
—
"What is this drama?" Inside Room Number Seven, Mo Han turned toward Jia Kai and asked.
"Brother Han, don't you know the Heavenly Abode of the Dwarf Smiths?" Fatty cried out in surprise.
Mo Han gave a stoic look, which made Fatty Lambu shut down whatever he was about to say next.
"The Dwarf Smiths are the best weapon makers in this realm. They only make powerful weapons for the top cultivators. That's why many people can't believe they made a weapon for a lowly cultivator," Jia Kai explained plainly, while staring at the auction ground where the clamor continued.
Mo Han also stared at Soya on the stage, who was trying to stop the commotion.
"Seems like attending auctions gives me more knowledge than reading all those history books about this realm," Mo Han muttered to himself.
"Everybody, shut up!" Soya shouted loudly, using a voice-amplifying stick.
The entire auction ground came to a sudden stillness as everyone's attention turned toward her.
"Are you doubting the authenticity of my Khan Family? We've been doing business for decades.
All you want is proof, right? This spear, named Fire Bolt, was made by the Third Dwarf Wizard himself. His personal emblem is marked at the base of the weapon. Also, we have a letter personally written by him." Soya took out a letter and showed it toward the crowd with authority.
"Why would the Dwarf Wizard make this lowly weapon? Answer this first!" Elder Ji shouted again.
"Because my father made a request. This is the 500th auction by the Khan Family. To make it special, my father requested the Third Dwarf Wizard to craft this spear.
If you still have doubts, go and ask the Third Dwarf Smith yourself.
My Khan Family guarantees the authenticity of this weapon," Soya answered like a fierce merchant's daughter.
The entire crowd, even the elders, became silent after hearing her explanation.
Without giving scope for more questions, Soya raised her hand and announced, "The initial bid for this Fire Bolt Spear is 10,000 spirit stones."
"What?!" almost everyone exclaimed in shock.
"Did she say a thousand or ten thousand?"
"Don't even think of buying it!"
Almost 99% of the spectators couldn't afford 10,000 spirit stones at once. This was also part of Soya's plan. She wanted the weapon to remain unsold, using the auction for hype so they could sell it for double later after word spread.
Just like Soya expected, no bid came for a long time. The entire auction ground was silent, everyone waiting for the first bid to be placed.
"11,000 spirit stones." The lone voice from Private Room Number 13 was clearly heard throughout the auction ground.
"Ohhh..." A cry erupted from the crowd.
"The person inside Room Number 13 must be really wealthy. God, I can't believe he's carrying so much wealth on him," the girl in the first row spoke to her grandfather in a loud tone.
But Elder Ji gave a loud smirk. "I don't know who that person is, but I'm sure he's going to make a big fortune by reselling that weapon made by the Dwarf Smith. Definitely, 11,000 spirit stones is dirt cheap for such a weapon."
The worry on Soya's face increased as no second bid came. Everyone remained silent, staring at her for the announcement.
"Oh God, our plan backfired. What should we do now?" the servant girl holding the treasure plate whispered to Soya.
"11,000 spirit stones… 11,000 spirit stones… Is there nobody to bid? Don't miss this great chance," Soya announced in a reluctant tone, knowing the loss she was about to face. The weapon was about to be sold for just 11,000 spirit stones.
But only silence answered her.
Everyone could see the despair on Soya's face.
"13,000 spirit stones…" suddenly, a loud call came from Room Number 7.
Both Fatty Lambu and Jia Kai turned their heads toward Mo Han in utter shock.
