Brothel Manager 2 :Path of DUAL CULTIVATION

Chapter 52: First Item Sold!

Early Morning…

Green Jade City…

The sun hung low in the sky, casting a golden hue over the bustling Green Jade city, but the heart of excitement throbbed near the Khan Family Auction Pavilion.

Carriages adorned with family crests, beasts of burden with jeweled saddles, and flying chariots pulled by spirit birds circled the sky.

The narrow streets leading to the grand auction house were packed with men in flowing robes, women with veiled faces and gleaming eyes, and foreign merchants chattering in various dialects.

Outside the massive gate, two lines had already formed—one for common bidders and one for noble family guests. A large shimmering spirit screen floated above the stage, displaying:

"Khan family Biannual Auction" – Welcome Esteemed Guests."

Servants in silver-blue robes darted between guests, some guiding them to their rooms, others handing out brochures of auction items, their heads bowed low.

A group of girls dressed in lotus-pink dresses began a soft performance near the front platform, dancing gracefully with long silk ribbons, their movements like water flowing under the moonlight. Flute players followed in a gentle harmony.

At the side entrance, Mo Han, clad in a simple black robe, arrived followed by Fatty Lambu, who was wiping sweat from his neck, and Jia Kai, who walked with arms folded, expression stoic.

"Brother Han, I'm breathless already… Why are these auctions always pack with people? Cruel, I tell you!" Fatty groaned.

Mo Han smirked. "You've been eating since sunrise, and now gasping for breath? It's your problem and you still complain? Don't worry, I booked a room. The servants will feed your belly before they feed your greed."

They entered through the noble wing. Their token was scanned by a glowing jade orb at the gate, and a young servant bowed deeply, "Welcome, honored guests. Private Room 7 is prepared."

The room was luxurious. A panoramic spirit screen displayed the auction stage, and the front wall was transparent glass that overlooked the crowd below. Plush recliners, trays of fruit, wine jugs, and steaming meat dishes lined the side.

Fatty dove into the food immediately. "Brother Han, tell me again—wI can't believe this. We are enjoying this luxury just with Han family name."

Mo Han took a sip of wine and glanced at the stage. "Stop eating. We are also here to observe… and maybe to snatch something valuable within our price range.

Jia Kai stood silently near the corner, eyes scanning the crowd below like a watchful eagle.

Below, the performance ended with the girls forming a lotus pattern, and applause echoed through the hall.

Mo Han laughed lightly, watching the dancers retreat. "Hmph. Reminds me of the old brothel in Mumbai. I trained hundreds of girls to perform like this… Only difference was—ours was a trap. The dance would finish, and then—bam! Customers would find their money gone and hearts broken." He chuckled, sipping more wine. "Ah, youth…"

Fatty nearly choked on his meat bun. "You robbed brothel customers using dancing girls?"

Mo Han wiped his lips. "I'm just joking, fatty. Don't think too much.."

The room's lighting dimmed. The crowd below hushed as a spotlight of spiritual light fell on the grand stage.

A beautiful woman in an emerald dress walked gracefully onto the platform. Her hair was pinned up with a phoenix-shaped ornament, and her voice, when she spoke, was as clear as falling chimes. EnjoythestorybyreadingonM|V|LE%MPYR.

"Esteemed guests, I, Soya Khan, on behalf of the Khan Family, welcome you to the Khan family Biannual Auction. We thank you for your presence. Today, over sixty items will be auctioned. Each selected from the finest contributions across realms and families."

The applause broke again.

Soya raised one hand. "Let me explain the rules. All bidding shall be made via sound tokens or voice from the room. Each raise shall not be less than Hundred spirit stones. For mid-grade and rare items, the auctioneer may request a higher minimum increment."

"Che!" Fatty muttered, biting into a golden dumpling. "Hundred is 'minimum'? I'm better off selling my belly for meat."

Mo Han ignored him, eyes locked on Soya Khan.

The lady's voice continued, "We request all noble families to maintain decorum. No spiritual pressure, no private deals inside the auction hall. All items are guaranteed by the Khan Family's reputation and overseen by neutral appraisers."

She clapped her hands once. Two servants rolled in a beautiful jade table with gold-embroidered cloth. Upon it, a wooden box sealed with five elemental talismans was gently placed.

Soya's voice rose again.

"Let the auction begin! Our first treasure, a rare elemental artifact from the southern magma ruins, shall now be unveiled—"

As soon as Soya Khan's melodic voice echoed through the grand auction hall, the flickering torches dimmed and a cool breeze swept in through the vents enchanted with wind talismans. Two armored servants walked onto the stage, carefully carrying a golden-red box sealed with multiple elemental locks.

The entire hall held its breath.

Soya waved her hand, and the locks dissolved into sparkling embers. The box opened slowly, revealing a fist-sized crimson orb pulsating like a beating heart. It glowed with intense heat and had rippling magma veins coiling within, like a miniature volcano sealed inside.

Gasps echoed throughout the hall.

"This is the Magma Heart Crystal," Soya announced, her tone rich with pride. "Formed naturally in the belly of the Southern Magma Ruins, it possesses both fire and earth dual affinity, capable of enhancing any elemental technique related to those forces. A sacred treasure for any fire cultivator… or a destructive bomb if refined improperly."

Several guests leaned forward, their eyes shimmering with desire.

"Starting bid—300 mid-grade spirit stones!" Soya raised her jade tablet.

A silence followed, then a voice rang from Room 3. "Three-fifty!"

"Four hundred!" Room 6 countered immediately.

"Five hundred and fifty!" came another voice from the front seat—this one calm and deep, belonging to an elder in a green robe.

Down in the main seating, murmurs buzzed like bees. Those without enough funds could only admire and sulk.

Inside Room 7, Mo Han was already reclining, sipping wine. "Fire affinity? Not my cup of tea. But it's a good warm-up."

Fatty Lambu leaned over the balcony, almost falling out. "Why don't we also bid?"

Mo Han gave him a side-eye. "Do you even have 30 spirit stones, you oversized rice barrel?"

"I was just admiring!" Fatty pouted, sinking into the plush cushions.

"Six hundred!" Room 2 shouted.

The bids climbed rapidly.

"Seven-fifty!"

"Nine hundred!"

"One thousand and fifty spirit stones!" the green-robed elder raised his voice, sounding slightly impatient.

Soya's eyes sparkled. She was pleased. The first treasure was generating great momentum.

"Going once…"

"One thousand two hundred!" A shrill voice barked from Room 5. A young lady in red sat smugly behind the veil, twirling her fan. "I want it for my fire tiger. It loves fiery cores like this."

Mo Han chuckled, "Tch. These rich girls treating treasures like pet snacks."

"One thousand three hundred spirit stones!" The green-robed elder bellowed again.

This time, Room 5 fell silent.

Soya glanced around, confirming no further bids. "Is there no higher offer?"

Soon, Soya raised her hand.

"Going once… going twice…"

A dramatic pause…

"Sold! For one thousand three hundred mid-grade spirit stones to Guest in Room 9! Congratulations!"
