Chapter 29: Hidden Sword Master!
"I thought you only had a handsome face… but it seems there's a brain hiding behind it too," Chi Kai said sarcastically, clearly disappointed.
"Are you worried that your secrets got exposed to me? You don't need to—" Mo Han began, trying to reassure her.
"No, I'm not worried about that. My sister wouldn't have sent you here if she didn't trust you," Chi Kai cut him off quickly.
"Then why do you look so disappointed?" Mo Han asked, his eyes narrowing in curiosity.
Chi Kai didn't reply. She continued to stare at Mo Han's face. The disappointment came not from fear or suspicion—but from something else. She had hoped he came for a dual cultivation session. That hope now felt foolish.
"Whatever… just tell me if you can help or not. I need to find out my body constitution and return to Burning Sun Peak by tomorrow," Mo Han said in a serious tone.
"Oh, that? You'll need to wait until tomorrow morning. I'll arrange for an elder to test your body constitution," Chi Kai replied.
"Can't it be done today?" Mo Han pressed.
"No. The elder is currently out of the sect grounds. You'll have to wait until tomorrow. Don't worry—you can stay in my room. Nobody would dare touch you while you're with me," Chi Kai said confidently, already planning to inform her mother, one of the sect elders. Your support on M|V|L8EMPYR keeps this series going.
"I'm not afraid of the other women. It's you I'm worried about," Mo Han said with a teasing smile as he casually stepped down from the Death Stone. "They say you're a virgin. I assume you must be hungrier than them."
"YOU…!" Chi Kai burst out, lifting her sword instinctively in a moment of short-tempered rage.
But with a casual flick of his hand, Mo Han knocked the sword right out of her grasp.
Chi Kai froze in shock.
"How did you do that?" she asked, eyes wide.
"What, the sword flick? Don't worry—I didn't use any fancy 'Dog Mountain Flying Sword' techniques," Mo Han said with a grin. "You were holding the sword with your fingertips like a beginner. A flick at the tip is enough to disarm you."
"No… you're not telling the truth. That's impossible! I was holding it in the third stance of the Classical Sword Art. You must have used some strange technique to impress me," Chi Kai insisted, her voice edged with disbelief and frustration.
"If you don't believe me, pick it up again. I can make it fly out of your hands a hundred times," Mo Han replied coolly.
Without a word, Chi Kai picked up her sword and gripped it tightly this time. She stood before him with a determined expression.
Mo Han stared into her eyes. Then, with a precise flick on the sword's tip, a strange vibration passed along the blade—and the sword dropped from her hands once more.
Chi Kai stood frozen. Her mouth parted slightly in shock.
"You… Are you a sword master? What's the name of your sword technique?" she asked, stunned.
"I am a sword master, yes. But I haven't completed any formal technique yet. For now, I can do this," Mo Han said, drawing the cursed sword from his back.
With a surge of energy, flames ignited across the blade.
"Wahhh…!" Chi Kai exclaimed in awe as the bright red sword lit up in blazing fire.
"You… You've learned the Sun Piercing Sword!" she gasped. Shock and admiration filled her face. She knew all too well—her sister, Jia Kai, had spent six months trying to master that very technique and still failed.
"Oh, so you recognize the name. Good," Mo Han said with a casual nod, sliding the sword back into its sheath.
Chi Kai stood silent, mesmerized. The man she had hoped to dual cultivate with wasn't just handsome—he was powerful too. Doubts began creeping in. Would he even accept her now? Would he reject her like others had?
"Alright… what should I do now? Should I go outside and wait until morning?" Mo Han asked, looking at Chi Kai.
"There's still plenty of time. If you'd like, I can show you around the Pink Blossom Tree Sect. You can rest in my room. We even have some of the best wine here," Chi Kai said eagerly.
Mo Han gave her a knowing smile. "Little virgin lady, I know exactly what you're trying to do. Seems like you've decided to parade me around as your boy toy. All those women looked absolutely envious when you dragged me away."
"Don't call me virgin lady! My name is Chi Kai," she snapped, rolling her eyes.
"Oh, so you are Jia Kai's sister. Good to know. Though I still don't get why your sister's toiling at Burning Sun Peak while you're enjoying pleasure cultivation here," Mo Han said, scratching his chin.
"Don't act like you know everything. You'll find out when you return to Burning Sun Peak," Chi Kai huffed.
"No need to get angry. Let's go roam around the sect grounds. I'll help you play your game. I'll act like your boy toy," Mo Han said with a grin, placing a hand on her shoulder.
Even though Chi Kai didn't like how casually he asserted dominance, she couldn't help but feel happy inside. She led him toward the training grounds—where most of the sect's women gathered at this hour.
Meanwhile, outside the Pink Blossom Tree Sect…
A new chariot came to a stop at a distance.
Ron Lee stepped down and crouched behind some large rocks. He watched carefully as Fatty Lambu dozed peacefully on top of the mountain eagle.
"So the information was correct. These two bastards really came to the Pink Blossom Tree Sect," he muttered. "If this fatty is outside… then Mo Han must be inside, enjoying himself with the women."
A wicked grin spread across Ron's face.
"What a perfect opportunity. I'll catch Mo Han the moment he steps out and drag him to the Burning Sun Peak elders. The punishment from the main elder will be brutal."
He chuckled darkly.
"Hahaha… Mo Han, I never imagined I'd get the chance for revenge this easily."
Let me know if you'd like to continue the next part—inside the sect tour with Chi Kai, or Ron Lee's trap tightening outside.
