Bring Justice to those Who Dare to Harm my Beloved Daughter (The Villainess)!

Chapter 00 - Prologue

“I’m deeply disappointed in you, Lady Louise.”

The lively evening ball fell into an eerie silence, and every gaze turned toward the man who had spoken.

Standing in the center of the grand hall was a young man adorned in elegant attire befitting his status. The royal insignia gleamed at his collar—a symbol of his position as the crown prince of the kingdom.

The golden-haired, blue-eyed prince stood without the person who should have been at his side. Instead, an unfamiliar young lady stood close to him.

This young lady, with her sky-blue hair and jade-green eyes, wore a stunning royal blue dress embroidered with gold thread. Around her neck shone an emerald necklace, perfectly complementing the color of her eyes.

Facing them stood another woman.

With chestnut-brown hair and bright orange eyes, she too wore a royal blue dress embroidered with gold thread. A carnelian necklace, matching the hue of her eyes, glittered at her neck.

This woman was the one who should have been standing beside the crown prince.

The accused lady—Louise—gracefully opened her fan and concealed her mouth with it.

“Disappointed, you say?”

“Did you think I wouldn’t find out? As my fiancée, you were always under the royal family’s scrutiny. I’ve received reports of your actions,” the crown prince replied, his face twisting in displeasure.

He glared at Louise and wrapped an arm around the waist of the young lady standing next to him.

Extending his other hand toward Louise, he shouted:

“You hired an assassin to kill Lady Monica Becker, a saint and the daughter of Count Becker. She was actually attacked! The mastermind behind this crime is you, Lady Louise! Continuing our engagement with a criminal is impossible. Therefore, our engagement is annulled, and you will be imprisoned to face justice. Guards, seize her!”

At his command, guards emerged from the crowd, surrounding Louise.

Yet Louise remained unfazed. She kept her mouth hidden behind her fan, her gaze steady and fixed on the crown prince.

The young lady standing beside the prince—Monica—shrunk back, as though trying to hide behind him. The crown prince stepped protectively in front of her.

“Your Highness Heinrich…”

“It’s alright, Lady Monica. I will protect you… Please, let me protect you for the rest of my life.”

“Brother.”

“Oh, shall we begin?”

A sharp clap rang through the hall.

Then another.

Two sets of clapping echoed in the tense silence.

Louise—known as Loulou—heard the sound, closed her eyes, and snapped her fan shut. A faint smile appeared on her lips.

“Who’s there?!”

“My, what an entertaining tale, Your Highness,” came a voice from the crowd.

As footsteps approached, the gathered guests parted, clearing a path.

When the view opened, Loulou, still surrounded by guards, smiled softly. I smiled back at her.

The crown prince frowned suspiciously at us.

“…What is the meaning of this, Duke Lehman and Count Zonta?”

“My dear niece’s honor has been brazenly tarnished. Do you think I would stay silent?”

My younger brother, Marcus, smirked faintly and strode toward Loulou. I followed close behind.

Walking confidently, we didn’t even have to ask—the guards stepped aside, letting us reach Loulou without trouble.

…Her makeup tried to hide it, but the fatigue was evident.

In her eyes, I saw my reflection—black-haired and orange-eyed. Loulou’s chestnut-brown hair mirrored her late mother’s, my beloved Cathy.

I brushed her cheek gently, and she let out a small sigh of relief.

Ah, let’s settle this quickly so we can go home and relax. I’m not eager to linger here either.

“You call it tarnished honor? I simply stated the truth!”

Turning to face the crown prince, I noticed Monica cowering behind him, shielded by his body.

Oh, Monica. That “why me?” look? Not exactly appropriate for this moment.

Adjusting my glasses, I smiled warmly.

“It’s baseless because it’s simply not true.”

Now then, Your Royal Trashiness and Miss Saint of Nonsense.

Let’s begin your downfall.
