Breaking Defense! After Losing My Memory, I Was Spoiled to Heaven by My Yandere Ex-Husband

Chapter 8

Chen Yumo was in a hurry and had forgotten to book in advance.

The owner of a porridge shop seemed to notice their family of three and waved at Chen Yumo across the noisy crowd.

“Mr. Chen! Mr. Chen!”

Chen Yumo lowered his head, preparing to find another quiet shop, but Wen Yusheng poked his arm.

With so many people and so much noise, Chen Yumo leaned closer and asked, “What is it, Yusheng?”

Wen Yusheng pointed to the boss not far away, and only then did Chen Yumo realize the boss was calling him.

The owner of the porridge shop finally made his way through the crowd.

“Mr. Chen, I’ve kept a private room for you—it’s quiet. Before, Zhang Xun deliberately reserved the private room for several days, but I’ll take you up now.”

Just as the boss turned to lead the way, he noticed Wen Yusheng and quickly greeted him, “Is this Mrs. Chen?”

Wen Yusheng was about to explain when Chen Yumo interrupted, “It’s my wife, but call him Mr. Wen!”

“Got it. Mr. Wen, since this is your first time visiting our shop, let me know if you need anything. Mr. Chen is one of our regulars.”

Little Niangao had already woken up but, being shy, buried his head in Chen Yumo’s arms and refused to come out.

Once they were inside the private room, the atmosphere improved significantly. Chen Yumo handed little Niangao to Wen Yusheng and stepped out to confirm the order with the boss.

In the quiet space, little Niangao became much livelier. He clung to Wen Yusheng’s neck, biting his pacifier.

When Chen Yumo returned, he placed little Niangao on a special children’s chair and tied a small apron around him.

The waiter knocked on the door and brought in a cup of soft and glutinous stewed rice porridge.

Chen Yumo fed little Niangao and then pushed the rest toward Wen Yusheng.

“Drink this. It’s delicious—you used to love it.”

After that, the dishes started arriving: steamed buns, fried dough sticks, egg drop soup, steamed eggs, and noodles.

Wen Yusheng was a bit surprised by the spread.

“Isn’t this a bit too much?”

Chen Yumo, who was feeding little Niangao, raised his head and glanced at him.

“You eat first. I’ll finish what’s left.”

Wen Yusheng ate two buns, drank a cup of glutinous rice porridge, and finished half a cup of steamed eggs.

Then, he watched as Chen Yumo elegantly ate everything that remained.

‘This is a bit too much to eat, isn’t it?’

Wen Yusheng wondered to himself. He was an Alpha, so his appetite was quite large. But then … what was Chen Yumo?

“Chen Yumo.”

“Yes?”

“Are you an Alpha?”

Realizing his question might have sounded rude, Wen Yusheng quickly added, “I’m just curious, nothing more.”

“It’s Enigma,” Chen Yumo replied.

“Oh, no wonder! No wonder …”

By the time they finished breakfast, it was already ten in the morning. They had eaten slowly, and when they went downstairs, the first floor of the shop was empty.

Little Niangao had fallen asleep, so Chen Yumo wrapped him in his suit and carried him in his arms.

The owner of the porridge shop was at the counter. When he saw them, he quickly came over to greet them.

“Did you enjoy your meal?”

Since Chen Yumo was on the phone, it was inconvenient for him to speak, so Wen Yusheng answered instead.

“Yes, thank you.”

“That’s great! In the future, whenever Mr. Wen comes, the private room upstairs will always be reserved for you.”

Wen Yusheng smiled and replied, “Thank you, boss!”

“It’s nothing—it’s what we do for our regulars.”

Chen Yumo finished his call, nodded at the boss, and said, “We’ll be heading out now. Take care.”

“Alright. Come again next time!”

“Will do,” Chen Yumo replied.
