Chapter 17: Chapter 17
It was finally the day, when Taehyung had a second therapy session with Jimin. He felt nervous, excitement again could be an insulting term as a psychologist for him, who took a case of a decade old silent patient.
Compared to the last session, Taehyung prepared a lot, he had a strategy to break the wall, facts like, Jimin believed he was being unheard, he had tried to seek help but nobody noticed, and he certainly was on the urge of revealing the inside of his mind.
All Taehyung required bring that urge back, to make Jimin realized that someone finally noticed his silent plead.
Taehyung now strongly believed that perhaps, through the help of art, he might be able to understand Jimin even further, and hoped that Jimin would comprised.
The fourth floor, was as usual silent. It was hard to imagine that many patients were locked in their rooms. Mr. Kwon had already arrived, waiting for Taehyung. He stood near Jimin's room, still giving the same suspicious vibe to Taehyung.
"I'll take Jimin by myself! You can leave." Taehyung said in a cold tone, he suddenly recalled their last encounter, last week.
Taehyung was supposed to solve the mystery around the glass shard, and as far as he observed Ms. Nawol, the old woman seemed harmless and kind. He hadn't met with the cleaning boy, so it was impossible to assumed anything about him, and about Mr. Kwon, Taehyung still had doubts.
"Staying alone with Jimin could be risky." Mr. Kwon said.
"I know how to handle him!" Taehyung clarified, gesturing Mr. Kwon to opened the door.
Mr. Kwon surrendered, he insert the key to the padlock and twisted. "Did you talk with the cleaning boy?" Asked Mr. Kwon.
Taehyung raised his brows, "No, not yet. But I will investigate the cleaning boy too, the truth should be revealed." He said.
Mr. Kwon shifted his gaze at Taehyung, "You should talk to him today, he's taking a leave for a month." He informed.
Taehyung nodded, a moment of silence between them, Taehyung felt as if Mr. Kwon wanted to say something, but hesitating. The door creaked as Mr. Kwon pushed to opened, "I'm not leaving, so you can call me for help." He offered.
Taehyung stepped into the room, and a cold shiver ran through him. The weak light from the small window barely lit the space, leaving strange shadows on the walls. The air felt heavy and icy, colder than any other room on the floor.
It wasn't just the chill, but something about the room felt wrong, like it was holding its breath. His chest felt tight, and a strange feeling washed over him. Taehyung had been here in this small room before, but that day he didn't noticed anything, as Jimin got his all attention. But today, as Taehyung stood in the room, he felt something sinister, some inhumane presence.
He wasn't a religious person, who believed spirituality, yet it felt like he stepped into a different place. Taehyung scanned the room, his eyes stopping on Jimin, who sat in the middle of it. Jimin's back was to him, and he started at the wall.
Taehyung took hesitant steps towards Jimin, it was a chance to witnessed something, anything that might be helpful to understand Jimin, to know more about him, to witnessed the depth of his mind.
"Pp\_please...Dd\_don't do this." Jimin whispered, his breath shallow, his heart thudding loudly in his chest, as Jisun stood in front of him, his demonic eyes seemed scarry, he was angry again, and that made Jimin Petrified.
Jimin knew, if Jisun got angry, then he'd punish him in a worst way possible. He hated to make Jisun angry, yet he always ended up pissed him off. As the thought of punishment wandered in his mind, Jimin felt something crawling under his skin, fear clutched his heart, and tightened it's grip.
"Why you killed me?" Jisun repeated the same words as always.
"I...I...Dd\_didn't" Jimin whispered again.
"You think that doctor would be able to help you? Do you really want to escape this place?" Asked Jisun, he tilted his neck, his dried lips trembled.
Jimin shook his head, his hands trembling in fear, he stiffed his shoulders as he slowly stood up.
"I didn't mean to... I didn't want to..." Then, he paused, as he waited for a response from the empty air in front of him.
Taehyung froze in place as he heard Jimin's faint whispers. His words seemed tangled, filled with fear, but Taehyung couldn't see who Jimin was talking to. The room was empty, yet it gave a sinister vibe, Jimin seemed completely focused, his trembling voice answering someone only he could see.
"Jimin?" he called softly.
But Jimin didn't turn around. Instead, he whispered again, his voice cracking, "I..I.. I'm sorry." He apologized.
Taehyung felt the ache in his heart, he gently caressed Jimin's shoulders and called his name again. "Jimin" his voice barely above a whisper.
Jimin jerked his shoulders, as he turned back and saw Taehyung standing at few inches away from him. His eyes widened in fear, his pale face soaked in tears, he breathed heavily.
Taehyung didn't want Jimin to have another epilepsy episode, it was an important day and Taehyung didn't want to loose that opportunity. "Everything is good." He muttered in a gentle voice.
For a moment, Jimin hesitated, as if unsure whether to trust him. Then, slowly, he nodded, his shoulders relaxing just slightly. Taehyung offered a small, reassuring smile, "Let's talk outside." He suggested, gesturing his hands towards the door.
