Chapter 2: Chapter 2: Rise of the New Treasure Hunters
After the announcement of the Horizon Orb's retrieval and the subsequent reward, it had sent shockwaves throughout the world. The news had spread like wildfire, captivating the imagination of people from all walks of life.
As the reality of the situation sank in, various groups and individuals began to formulate plans to retrieve the Horizon Orb.
More than thousands of groups were formed. Some were travelling through the landmasses while some were travelling through the Water bodies to find out the Orb.
The decision made by Rionidec had actually made a great relief for both the Military Police and the Navy as their work loads were reduced because of that decision.
In the same bar in Ford Town, a few groups of men were discussing about the news of the retrieval of the Orb. The bar was fully crowded that day.
"Are they seriously going to reward us?" An elderly man asked. He looks about 35-40 years old.
"Maybe! Who knows?" Another man replied. Most of the men present in the bar that day seems to be exactly of same age. Except some few men who were much older than them.
And among those peoples many of them were skilled treasure hunters who had gathered at the bar after the news. They were an eclectic bunch, each with their unique skills and expertise.
"You know, I'm also thinking of starting my own crew." A man said to the other two men who were sitting with him at one of the dining table in that bar.
"Really? Do you think you can find it Marcus?" One of the two men replied.
The first man's name was Marcus, a seasoned explorer with a talent for Navigation. The other man was Liam, an expert in Ancient Languages. And the third man was Jax, a charismatic smuggler with a network of underworld contacts.
"And what about you two?" Marcus asked, "Aren't you going to find out the Orb?"
Liam and Jax looked at each other's face for a while and then Jax replied to him, "We are also planning about that."
"Why don't we just team up and make our own crew." Marcus suggested.
"We need to move fast," Marcus said, his eyes scanning the room. "We're not the only ones after the Golden Ball. We need to assemble a team and get moving before the competition heats up."
"I've made some contacts," Jax said, a sly grin spreading across his face. "I can get us the necessary gear and transportation."
"But we'll need to be careful. There are those who will stop at nothing to get their hands on the Golden Ball." Marcus added.
"Yeah. That's right!" Liam replied.
On the other hand, Duet the bartender was talking with some of the other customers in the bar, sitting along the bar counter.
"Hey Duet. Do you think that the Orb might be really located in some places called 'The Last Point'? Huh!" One man starts laughing loudly.
"I don't care about it anyway." Duet replied with a smile on his face.
"And I have heard that the Government is even going to entitled the person who finds out the Horizon Orb with the title of 'King of the Explorers' or the 'Greatest Explorer'. But I'm not completely sure about that." Another man replied, his name was Aisorabma Enis. He had black hair, brown eyes and looks quite handsome.
"Then these news gonna made a spark among all of the present explorers and even those who are dreaming of becoming an explorer." The man gives a smile after putting down his Alcohol Glass on the table.
"By the way, who are you?" Enis asked, Enis was sitting at that man's right side.
"Myself? Huh!?" The man speaks, "Shouldn't you introduced yourself at first before asking?"
"Sorry, my mistake!" Enis said, "Myself Aisorabma Enis."
"Nice to meet you, Aisorabma!" The man added, "I am Detalusin. Eloressac Detalusin."
"Eloressac Detalusin! Vice-captain of the Cactus Exploration Group?" Enis exclaimed.
Everyone presented in that bar were surprised after hearing out his name. Detalusin was a member and Vice-captain of a famous exploration group of that time named 'Cactus Exploration Party'.
"What is the Vice-captain of Cactus Exploration Party doing here?" Another man replied. He had dropped his Alcohol Glass in shock.
"I also had spawned up here just like you peoples did after hearing out about the news from the Government." Eloressac smiled and replied.
"Then there's no chance for us to find out the Orb before you guys!" A man uttered to himself.
"Uh! Don't worry Captain won't interfere in your way of finding that Orb." Eloressac replied. He stands up from his seat, all of the peoples were watching him. Eloressac was very tall, standing at a height of 9.5 feet tall. He had black eyes with a scar on the left side of his face, blonde hair and little beard.
"He's very tall, against an normal human. But how?" One man whispers to another man sitting along him at a table.
"Okay everyone enjoy yourself." Eloressac replied and left from there.
"Wait!" Duet speaks, "Eloressac pay the bill!" He shouts at him.
"I'm sorry, I forgot to bring him." Eloressac shouts from outside the bar, and then ran away quickly.
"There's no way that this mission is going to be easy!" Liam says to Jax and Marcus. They were also looking at Eloressac.
Meanwhile, in a faraway place, a group of peoples had gathered in a room to discuss about some matter. There was a flag in the room with a symbol of a Sun with the letter 'S' written inside it, and a group of Rose flower were drawn outside the Sun. And below the symbol was written in Broad letters 'THE SYNDICATE'.
It was a kind of some secret organization planning something big, which might be against the Government.
The room was filled with hooded figures, wearing black clothes, their faces were covered by shadows. They were about 12 peoples in that room. All of them were looking very masculine.
"The Horizon Orb is a game-changer," one of the members said, his voice was low and menacing.
"We need to get our hands on it, no matter the cost. We have the resources and the expertise. Let's make it happen." Another one replied and then starts laughing loudly.
"I can't just wait for it, man!" A third member replied.
30 years passed by and no one has still find out the Horizon Orb, the Military Police and the Navy are also trying their best, but still the Orb is unreachable for them.
Many groups had formed and many were dissolved, but still the mystery wasn't uncovered. Not even about the place called Last Point. Even the Government also doesn't know if that place is real or not. They are also confused, as a group had claimed about 22 years ago that they had found some information regarding the place called Last Point.
In the village of Brindlemark, located in the Nation of Kumawao in Eldrida Continent. There lives a boy called Oscar Price. He was very much inspired by the stories of the Explorers, who are on their way to find out the Orb.
One usual evening, Oscar was in his room, sitting by the study table, reading about the news of the Exploration Groups who are trying to find out the Orb. He had always been fascinated by stories of adventure and treasure hunting. The prospect of retrieving the Golden Orb was too enticing to resist.
He had finally decided to speak up to his father about his dream.
"I'm gonna speak to him today!" He says to himself. And stands up from his seat. He has little long black hairs, round brown eyes and he is about 5.8 feet in height.
He gets out of his room, and walks up to his father's room. Oscar's father was reading a book, titled 'THE STORY OF THE WARRIOR'.
"Hey Dad!" Oscar calls out.
"Yes. What's that, spit it out!" His father replied. He was still looking at his book.
"I have to go on to find out the Orb by myself." Oscar replied.
"Okay. That's nice!" His father replied. It was clear that he hadn't heard out, what his son had just said.
"Are you being serious?" Oscar asked.
"You want to go on an Adventure by yourself and find out the Orb." He said back, "That's pretty nice!"
"Okay then." Oscar said, he was still looking at his father.
"Going on an adventure by yourself to find the Orb!" Oscar's father repeated the line.
Suddenly something strike down his head, he thinks of something and then shouts out looking at Oscar, "What, you wanna go on an Adventure by yourself and you want to find out the Orb."
"So, you weren't listening all the time!" Oscar shouts back at his father in a sarcastic way.
"So, what's the problem in that?" His father replied, "I am getting old now."
"That's not my problem! Old-man!" Oscar said.
"What did you just said?" His father starts looking at him with sharp eyes. And then hits on his son's head for his mistake.
"What the hell…!" Oscar added.
"You are not going on you adventure!" His father replied, without looking at him.
"What…!" Oscar shouts at his loud voice.
