NOVEL WEB Chapter 1482: New Domain Guardians

After placing all the five totems into the Domain, their unique auras surged from each wooden item, as several spirits shaped as animals suddenly appeared out of nowhere, moving incredibly fast, but our eyes were quick enough to spy some glimpses at them, before they inhabited the totems themselves.
To be honest I didn't expect a Totem Spirit of Tarantulas or horned wolves to even exist, and they looked rather desperate to enter, as if there was a lot of competition… Well, whatever the case, the Voice of the World manifested once more after this was done.
And I could clearly hear her murmuring to me once more at the same time as I noticed the Ancient Spirit Totems "Veil" growing larger and then completely encompassing the Domain with an extra protection of defenses.

"I got two new powers! An Ability and a Theme! And… It seems the Domain is still in cooldown? When is this going to end?" I wondered.
"Hmm, probably give it a few more days or weeks," Said the Great Spirit. "We don't exactly know what is causing this, but we can guess it is something to do with the high intake of power it got in a single day. So let it rest."
"Yeah, there's not much you can do at the moment, Lady Elayne," nodded Jannis. "At the very least, your Domain seems to have developed even further regardless. You said it obtained a new Ability and even a Theme? How wonderful, and only by placing a few Totems we made quite easily…"
"I suppose you're right, it still incredible by itself," I nodded proudly.
"It is!" She said. "Not every person can just make any totem, place it on the ground, and suddenly have hundreds of spirits swarming to get inside. It is as if they were desperate to become part of your Domain!" Jannis laughed a bit. "You've become rather popular among the Spirits, it seems."
"I-Is that so?" I wondered. "…Actually yeah, I guess you're not completely wrong with that, Grandma Jannis."
Recalling what I saw when the totems were placed… It wasn't a beautiful sight at all. These spirits resembled a bunch of starving creatures trying to get inside no matter what, it was weird.
Just what are these spirits anyway?
Well, whatever the case, I checked my Domain information through the wooden table that showed it to me.

"Okay, that's looking really fine to me," I nodded. "We need to complete three more quests too, huh? I had kind of forgotten about them, but they aren't easy either… One is about Hollow Hunting hundreds of them, another about… Hunting a Demon and feeding it to the Domain?! And the last one is about summoning ten Lesser Heavenly Spirits."
"They should be mostly doable…" Mark said. "And you technically already completed the demon one, right? I mean we hunted a lot of those guys in that battle, there's no way they don't count right?"
"I don't know how it even "counts" but it probably has to be within the vicinity? And offer them to the Domain… That's weird because Demons will just disappear after death, so offering one is rather… How does that even work?"
"Another mystery we'll resolve eventually!" The Great Spirit said. "How about testing the new Ability though? Sounds interesting."
"Oh yeah! Right, let's see…" I nodded.
I pointed my hands forward and then…
"{Summon Ancient Totem Spirit Guardian}!"
As I said those words, the ground rumbled, several of the totems nearby lifted from the ground, floated, and became a giant golem made of several of the totems fused together!
Wait, what?!

[These [Ancient Totem Spirit Guardians] possess great spiritual powers and also physical might, combining the abilities and powers of these Totems and the Spirits inhabiting them.]
[Whenever you summon them, the Guardians can defend your Territory and use the combined spiritual force of the Totems to destroy any threats.]
[Their Summon Duration is of, at most, one hour per Guardian, with a long cooldown once they're done.]
[Constant Mana Supply from the Domain is necessary to keep them active through their one-hour long activity.]
"Well, this is really quite something!" I said with a nod.
"W-Woah! They merged?! That's actually kind of cool…" Mark said.
"I-I have never seen something like this, its incredible…" Jannis muttered. "Lady Elayne, is this your creation?"
"It's an Ability from the Domain, I didn't create it…" I said. "Oh well, technically not completely, I mean it might be considered my creation because… Ah, I don't know."
Whatever this was, it was good, end of the conversation!
