Brand New Life Online: Rise Of The Goddess Of Harvest

Chapter 1230: Time To Hunt The Ant Queen

-----

Everyone was practicing their new abilities, spells, and powers, creating an amazing show of colors and techniques everywhere, the ants couldn't simply take a single break, being grilled alive one after another.

"I won't let you escape! Evil monsters like you must be executed! Take… this!"

As all of this happened, Gabriel conjured his magic while floating around, spears of holy light, arrows of light, and beams of light was all he conjured, bombarding foes from left and right.

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

The mighty little angel also healed anybody that was wounded, keeping us alive very easily! He was very useful, honestly. I'm glad I bought him here, and I'm even happier I adopted him into the family when he appeared out of nowhere back then.

"Phew, we're done…"

And eventually, over five hundred ants were slain, and no more came from the hole anymore. It was time to get inside of there and eliminate the problem from the root. However, we killed so many so quickly that I think it was fine to take a little break first.

"The ants aren't coming out anymore mom," said Elena, looking into the hole. "Are they scared or something?"

"I think they are probably not going to risk it anymore," I said. "Their Queen might have told them to regroup inside the nest so they could defend in their own territory. It'll certainly be harder to fight in a crammer space inside of there than outside."

"Well, I think I could solve that problem!" Lily said. "If you give me enough Mana, I could probably… Hmm, probably? Yeah, I could probably change… the shape of the entire mound here, yeah, the whole thing? I think so."

"Wait, really?" Your next chapter awaits on empire

She said that so casually, with a bit of insecurity but still rather palpably confident!

"You can do that?!" asked Mark.

"You can?" wondered Rita.

Lily nodded confidently.

"Yes, if we can use our Divine Fusion Skills, then it is completely possible by using the power of {Spiritual Divine Mother of the Earth}! Although I don't know if it would be possible with just plain magic," she confessed. "Maybe I could make the entire thing collapse using several earthquake attacks, but I doubt that would kill them."

"I see…" I nodded. "You're not wrong, just crushing them won't work, their exoskeletons are made of technically metal after all."

"And they won't die so easily when crushed anyways, they could dig their way out over time, it'll only make it more difficult for us…" Mark sat down over the one of the ants. "From what I recall, you can combine with the ground using that Skill, right Lily?"

"Yes, it's more than just that, I can combine with any element of Earth within my vicinity, making them part of my own body. I used that against the Demon King in the Fragment of Cloudia Dungeon we visited the other day, remember?" asked Lily.

"Right! Back then you were able to singlehandedly halt the advance of the Demon King of the End's Shadow with your immense arms and everything," I said. "Then it could work…"

"But how are you doing it though? Let's plan it out a bit," said Rita.

"Yeah, I was thinking on…"

As they discussed the plan, I quickly decided to store all the ants we found inside my Inventory, easily making them disappear one after another.

Inventory was sure useful! To be able to store anything I want like this, it's really convenient.

After that, I quickly moved to set a small refuge, a dome made of wood with an entrance, table, and many seats.

I placed sandwiches, drinks, and fruits over the table.

"Everyone let's have a small snack, I'm sure you're all exhausted! These are made using Cooking Spirits, so they'll restore your Mana and Stamina."

Everyone's eyes sparkled, running inside the wooden dome I created and sitting down to eat.

"Eat as much as you want!" I said happily. "Let's enjoy some rest before we go into the action."

"Thank you Elayne, I was really hungry," sighed Mark.

"Hmm, these sandwiches are good!" Gabriel enjoyed two at a time.

"They're warm?" wondered Elena. "The cheese is melting…"

"Yeah the inventory can keep food warm easily!" I nodded.

"Thanks for the cold soda, I really needed some," said Anna, drinking happily.

"I would rather have a sweet right now…" sighed Elisa. "You don't have anything like that, auntie?"

"Yes, here!" I said, quickly opening my inventory again and taking out a small bowl with cupcakes. "These are some cupcakes I made the other day, enjoy them."

"Oooh! Thanks!" Elisa happily started eating without a worry or concern in the world. "Hmm, they're still fresh, like just baked!"

"I prefer the fresh fruits," said Lily with a smile. "These are all so tasty and imbued with so much mana and spirit energy! Elayne, where did you get these?"

"My garden and the forest," I said with a smile. "Anyways, how's the plan going?"

"Oh, about that, we got everything decided," said Lily. "I'll take over the entire area with my divine fusion skill and then I'll use the ground itself to push all the ants outside, as they're pushed outside through their holes, everyone here will slay them as they come."

"Ooh, that sounds pretty smart," I nodded. "I had thought about drowning or freezing them all, but maybe that won't work?" I wondered.

"It might work too, but Lily's guaranteed to work and be quick," said Elena. "I think if you do that mom, the ants will just dig away and escape to the surface, then scurry away with their queen. But with Lily's plan, they won't have time to respond or adapt, and get slayed quickly!"

"Hmmm, not wrong!" I nodded. "Very well then, let's go with that one. We promised Rose and Olivia we would clean this Big Nest, so let's not leave a single ant left alive, alright? It's our responsibility now!"

"Yeah!"

As everyone cheered, I nodded with a smile, feeling the presences of the Ants underground.

The Queen had a particularly strong Aura of Mana…

We have to take care of these quickly, before they become a problem for Quebec.
