Bound to the devil prince

It was as if a thunder strike had strained making everyone rendered speechless.

Catherine was the most shocked. She couldn't believe her ears.

She stared at her father who had a passive expression on his face the moment he said those words.

It was as if he didn't care about her feelings at all.

That's great to hear, King Edward. King Henry said with a pleased smile.

If I may ,to which of your sons is going to be betrothed to? King Edward asked.

He was very happy, and not only that, he wanted to gain more powers. He doesn't care if his daughter happiness matters to him or not, as far as he gains more powers. He doesn't CARE.

She will be betrothed to my youngest son, the prince of Eldrida kingdom. King Henry said slowly observing King Edward reaction. He had intentionally not added Lucas name because of the rumor circulating his son. He wanted to see if the marriage proposal will be accepted or rejected.

Oh, the one rumored to be a monster at day that feed on humans? King Edward asked with a curious gaze.

King Henry wasn't interested in the talk nor the question King Edward asked. He wanted someone that will marry his son so he could get to see how his son behave.

Cause how on earth will a mortal human turn to a strange creature in broad daylight and go on a rampage?

It supposed to be in three days time, but today is already going. So in two days time , Lady Catherine should be ready to move to her in laws house. King Henry said with a smile.

If that's all, I think I can take my leave. See you all in two days time. King Henry said and with that, he stepped out of the courtroom.

Once King Henry was gone, Lady Catherine Stood up and walked towards her father.

Dad, what was that? She asked with a serious tone.

King Henry stood up and went to stand a meter of where his daughter was standing.

What was that? You asking me? You are getting married in two days. You should be happy, you are getting married into a very powerful kingdom with immense riches.

The royal family will protect you. King Edward said with a loud laughter that echoed in the quiet courtroom.

Queen Sarah didn't dare interfere a she kept on crying silently. This hurts. It hurts to see your child, especially your daughter married into a strange land.

Your majesty, what about the alliance you formed with Lord Robert. What about it? You can't just be toying with my happiness. I'm your daughter. Lady Catherine said with Lurked tears in her eyes.

She was trying her best not to cry in front of her wicked and greedy father. But she didn't realize when the tears began to stream down her cheeks.

You only have two choices. King Edward finally said with his hardened voice after he stopped laughing.

Either you marry him or get ready to mourn your mother's Death. He threatened coldly his eyes flew to Queen Sarah.

Prince Michael stood up and was about to leave when he saw Lady Alice still seated there like a fool.

You don't expect me to carry you like a princess that you are? He said sarcastically. Lady Alice stood up,bowed her head at the queen and king before following her husband out of the courtroom.

Oh God! What kind of family was she born into? A man that threatens to kill his his wife if she refuse the marriage.

After a long while of silence, she finally nodded.

I will get married to him. She said with a low voice that tremble lightly due to the tears that was Rolling out from her eyes.

That's good to hear. So you won't be taken care of by your handmaids, but by the other maids that will be assigned to you. He ordered coldly.

Just as Lady Catherine was about to leave ,King Edward spoke,

"If you don't love your mother, you can escape before the wedding". He said and left without waiting for their responses.

Queen Sarah walked to where her daughter was standing and she pulled her into a tight hug.

Mother!!! This is not fair. Lady Catherine said as uncontrollably tears began to stream down her cheeks like a bursted dam.

Don't worry, we will write letters to each other. You won't be lonely, I promise to always write more than enough letters for you. Queen Sarah said also crying.

Lady Catherine pulled away from the hug and saw her mother teary face.

I love you mother, please take care of yourself and if father tries to do anything, don't hesitate to tell me and don't hide anything from me mum. I will love you. Lady Catherine said calmly.

Sure my dear, and also don't get your husband angry, and always mind yourself amongst the royal family. Queen Sarah advised her daughter.

Lady Catherine nodded and with that, she kissed her mother both cheeks before leaving the courtroom.

Meanwhile, Lady Alice went back to her quarters. She entered her room and began taking off the heavy jeweleries she was wearing before placing it on the table.

She let her blonde hair down before going to seat on the bed immensed in thoughts.

Why would the king do something like that? She thought calmly but quickly discarded that thought. Her mind drifted back to her husband.

He rarely have her time and talk to her. He doesn't even acknowledge her presence, it was as if she was like a parasite that disgust his presence and the only sane person that keeps her company is getting married to a rumored prince being a monster. With that thought, she lay on her bed to take a nap.
