Born to Rise : Becoming Vice President

Chapter 37: END ARC Daesan International High School

Chapter 37 – Graduation, Goodbyes, and the Poor Gate

The long-awaited day had finally arrived.

Graduation Day at Daesan International High School.

The main hall was lavishly decorated. Families arrived in their finest suits and hanboks. Flashing cameras, the soft sounds of a student orchestra, and whispers of parents gossiping about "whose kid got into college abroad" filled the air.

At the podium stood Gevran—the valedictorian—delivering what would go down in history as Daesan's shortest and most informal graduation speech ever.

> "Three years ago, I walked into this school as the new kid everyone thought wouldn't last a week. Now, I'm graduating as the guy who turned the school parking lot into a luxury car showroom.

Thanks to every teacher, friend, enemy, and ex… for all the lessons. May we all be successful—or at least rich and happy."

The auditorium?

Exploded in laughter.

Han Jimin, sitting in the VIP section, just shook his head—equal parts proud and mortified.

That Night – Graduation Party

The student council gang and Gevran's close friends gathered for one last farewell party. The venue? Jiwan's family villa on the edge of the city—complete with a DJ, disco lights, and a giant pool.

> "Dude, this feels like a Marvel movie premiere," Jimin said, holding a suspicious-looking mocktail.

> "You think Jiwan would throw us a budget party?" Gevran grinned, raising his glass.

"Cheers to a high school life full of drama… and a future with even more!"

Everyone: "CHEERS!"

---

And so began the most absurd night of their lives.

Jiwan got drunk and started crying about possibly not getting into Harvard—despite receiving his Letter of Acceptance a month ago.

Minjae sang Let It Go standing on the dinner table, throwing pillows at imaginary fans.

Haesung got into a heated debate with the villa's security about a conspiracy theory that pigeons were government drones.

Jimin? Got stuck inside a wardrobe, mumbling something about "reflecting on the meaning of life."

Meanwhile, Gevran was spiraling fast into drunkenness.

> "Jimin… bro… the world's spinning, bro," he slurred, walking sideways like a drunk crab.

> "You look like a broken Wi-Fi signal," Jimin replied, now visibly dizzy too.

---

3 AM.

Gevran decided to drive home in his new sports car… alone.

Fatal mistake.

The moment he reached home, he crashed into the family's electronic gate.

BRAAAK!

The gate was half torn off. Gevran stepped out of the car, singing softly:

> "Weee… must part… to chaaase… our dreams~"

Then promptly threw up in a 12-million-won flower pot.

---

The Next Morning…

> "I woke up early to give you a proper graduation speech… and what do I see?"

His mom's voice boomed through the dining room.

> "My son, looking like a zombie, puking in my orchids, the car stuck in the gate, and neighbors thinking it was an earthquake!"

Gevran sat slumped in his chair, hair a mess and face full of regret.

> "Sorry, Mom… it was… the grief of saying goodbye…"

His mom narrowed her eyes.

> "You'll clean that mess yourself. And apologize to the orchid."

---

Even with a busted gate and a pounding headache, Gevran smiled.

He had just closed the wildest chapter of his life—and was ready to open the next one:

College life at Seoul University.

And for some reason, he had a feeling…

the chaos had only just begun.
