Blue Lock: Isagi the egoist

Chapter 13: Taking on Uber and Snuffy

The clash between Re Al Madrid's Academy and the Italian giants, Ubers, was more than just a game—it was a battle of ideologies. Ubers were disciplined and tactical, a team molded in the image of their star player and coach, Marc Snuffy, a man who stood shoulder to shoulder with the legendary Noel Noa.

But Yoichi Isagi was no longer just a promising talent. At 14 years old, he was a phenomenon, a player capable of bending games to his will.

The anticipation was palpable as the teams lined up on the lush green pitch. Marc Snuffy, calm and collected, stood at the heart of the Ubers' formation, his sharp gaze focused on the boy who had taken the soccer world by storm.

"You've done well to get this far, kid," Snuffy called out, his voice steady but commanding. "Let's see if you can handle the weight of the game."

Isagi smirked, his eyes glinting with determination. "I'll do more than handle it. I'll crush it."

From the whistle's blow, Ubers dominated possession, their rigid structure frustrating Re Al's attempts to break through. Snuffy, orchestrating every play, moved with precision, shutting down Re Al's midfield with his uncanny ability to read the game.

But Isagi was watching.

Meta Vision, his all-encompassing field awareness, painted a vivid picture in his mind. Every movement, every weakness, every fleeting moment of opportunity was cataloged and analyzed.

In the 12th minute, Ubers launched an attack, their forwards weaving intricate patterns to dismantle Re Al's defense. Snuffy, joining the charge, unleashed a thunderous shot toward the top corner.

Isagi, using his Predator Eye defensively, read the trajectory. Sprinting back, he slid into position, blocking the shot with his body.

"Nice try," Isagi said, springing to his feet with the ball at his feet.

With Ubers out of position, Isagi initiated a counterattack. His advanced Berserker Mode, a controlled frenzy of precision and aggression, took over. He burst past two midfielders with a roulette turn, his speed and ball control leaving them in the dust.

Snuffy stepped in, his towering presence intimidating.

"You're not getting past me, kid," Snuffy warned, his stance firm.

Isagi grinned, his Predator Eye locking onto Snuffy's center of gravity. In a split second, he executed a feint so precise that Snuffy flinched, leaving a gap wide enough for Isagi to exploit.

A through ball to Sae followed. Sae, understanding Isagi's intent without a word, sent a perfectly weighted pass back. Isagi didn't hesitate, firing a curved shot into the top corner.

1-0.

Ubers adjusted, tightening their defense and doubling their efforts to isolate Isagi. But he thrived under pressure.

In the 37th minute, Isagi intercepted a pass, using his Predator Eye to predict its path. With a swift transition, he bypassed three defenders, drawing Snuffy into another one-on-one.

This time, Snuffy anticipated Isagi's feint and lunged.

But Isagi had evolved.

Switching gears mid-move, he used the Akka 360, spinning past Snuffy with elegance and power. A chip shot over the keeper sealed the goal.

2-0.

The crowd erupted, chants of "Isagi! Isagi!" filling the air.

Snuffy wasn't one to back down. In the second half, he shifted Ubers' formation, creating more opportunities for his team. They managed to pull one back, making it 2-1, but Isagi remained unfazed.

Using his Meta Vision and Predator Eye in tandem, Isagi orchestrated Re Al's plays. His advanced Berserker Mode allowed him to push his body to its limits without losing control, weaving through Ubers' defenses with clinical efficiency.

By the 75th minute, Isagi had notched a hat-trick, each goal a masterpiece of strategy and execution. Sae, feeding off Isagi's energy, delivered two assists and scored one himself.

Final Score: 4-1.

As the final whistle blew, Marc Snuffy approached Isagi.

"You're more than a player," Snuffy admitted, his voice tinged with respect. "You're a predator. And the scariest part? You're just getting started."

Isagi nodded, the fire in his eyes undimmed. "I'll take that as a compliment."

The soccer world exploded.

Bids for Isagi poured in, with clubs offering tens of millions for the teenage prodigy. The media crowned him as the definitive Number Two, second only to Noel Noa.

But Isagi stayed loyal to Re Al Madrid.

When asked why he wasn't tempted by the money and fame, Isagi's answer was simple:

"This is where I grow. And besides, Sae's the only one worthy of my passes. And I'm the only one worthy of his."

In the stands, Ray Dark watched with a satisfied grin. "He's becoming the ultimate player. Just as planned."

And somewhere in Germany, Noel Noa smiled as he watched the highlights.

"Keep chasing, Isagi. The throne is waiting."
