Bloodbound Secrets

Chapter 5: Chapter 5: The Aftermat

Roy lay awake in his bed, unable to close his eyes. His hands still trembled from the confrontation, the sensation of the knife sinking into flesh haunting his thoughts. His heartbeat hadn't settled since the moment he struck.

Across the room, Sakura calmly cleaned her sword, wiping the blood away as if it were nothing more than an inconvenience. Her face showed no remorse, no hesitation—only cold efficiency.

Roy swallowed hard.

"How... how can she act like this is normal?"

He had never questioned his mother before, but now, he couldn't help but wonder. Who was she, really?

Disposing of the Body

Sakura knew that killing wasn't the end—it was only the beginning. The body needed to disappear before anyone found it.

She turned to Roy. "Help me move him."

His breath hitched. "W-What?"

She gave him a firm look, one that left no room for argument. "This is necessary, Roy. The world is cruel, and we can't leave loose ends."

His stomach churned, but he obeyed. The weight of the lifeless body made his hands shake even more. The blood felt warm against his fingers, and the reality of what had just happened hit him harder than before.

He wasn't just a scared child hiding from danger anymore.

He was involved.

Something Awakens

As they dragged the corpse outside, Roy's mind raced with a thousand thoughts. But beneath the fear, beneath the confusion… there was something else.

A spark.

A strange feeling deep within him, something he couldn't quite understand.

He clenched his fists, his breath heavy. The world he thought he knew had crumbled before his eyes. He could no longer be the same child who once looked up to his father, believing he was invincible.

Tonight had changed everything.

And Roy… would never be the same again.
