Blood Holy Scripture: True Ancestor Charlotte de Castel

Chapter 663: -113- Albrecht's Reply

For Albrecht, the treatment Charlotte gave was clearly not as favorable as that for Sebastian and Nisi.

She simply dealt with him using "Thousand-Mile Transmission."

However, in Charlotte's view, this was also the best way to handle Albrecht.

The guy had not sincerely submitted to her yet, and only because he had become her Blood Servant, did he fear her "identity" and had to obey her orders.

It could be considered the demon's bad nature, inherently rebellious.

She estimated that it would take her quite some time to make this guy take her form.

After meeting with several of her Favored, she issued orders to them respectively, and then Charlotte dealt with official documents at the Count Mansion, calmly waiting for what would come next.

With the throne of the Falling Star Kingdom left vacant, and being the designated heir by the late king, she was already at the center of the vortex. Even if she did nothing, troubles and problems would still find her.

What Charlotte needed to do was to simply wait quietly while preparing.

Afterward, Charlotte's life resumed its regular pace.

She dealt with the domain's official duties in the morning, trained her transcendent powers in the afternoon, and continued to enrich her transcendent knowledge and expand her horizons in the evening.

However, unlike before, her training of transcendent powers had now shifted from magic power meditation and enhancement to practicing Blood Divine Power, and occasionally responding to her believers' prayers by bestowing blessings with Divine Grace, performing "Divine Miracles."

As for acquiring knowledge, she naturally continued to peruse the books she had "copied with one click" from the royal library.

While these books were moved to the depths of her consciousness with the help of Blood Divine Power, they were merely stacked up. To fully understand what these books were about, she still had to browse them one by one.

Of course, as the books were already in Charlotte's mind, and her spiritual power as a Demigod was strong enough, her browsing speed was far beyond what ordinary people could compare.

Although she couldn't exactly "read" a book in one glance, Charlotte could manage a turnover rate of one book every two to three minutes.

Such a vast capacity for absorbing knowledge could only be achieved by a "Demigod" with greatly enhanced spiritual power.

While reading, Charlotte couldn't help thinking it would have been great if she had had this ability back when she was a student in her previous life.

She could have probably finished reading all the textbooks from compulsory education in minutes, not to mention the college, master's, and doctoral studies.

How convenient that would be!

But this thought flashed by in only a moment.

After all, it was just a thought. If she had had this ability in her previous life, who would still genuinely study?

As for now, it wasn't that she truly loved reading books, but rather it was to supplement transcendent knowledge.

There were many books she had moved; who knew if any lost secrets were left behind? Perhaps, with luck, she might come across them.

Of course, even Charlotte would get very tired from constantly absorbing such "knowledge," so during her free time, she would also listen to the prayers of her believers to relax.

Charlotte found that she quite enjoyed responding to the prayers of her believers.

No, it would be more accurate to say that she was selecting those believers she was interested in, listening to their stories and prayers before responding.

This practice of being worshipped, needed, and performing divine acts as a visible presence had a fatal attraction, very easy to get addicted to, making Charlotte feel as if she had truly become a deity that presided over all, controlling everything.

However, Charlotte was also very calm.

She did not lose herself in this sublime feeling; she was aware that in the current Mireya, gods were not invincible, not to mention that she was still only a half-hearted Demigod.

Her primary goal was still to train in Divine Power and help her church expand its believers.

The results were good.

With Charlotte, the "God Incarnate," personally responding, the frequency of new followers of the Dark Night Church seemed to have increased significantly.

Sadly, even after numerous attempts, Charlotte had still not succeeded in establishing contact with the several hundred thousand followers of the "Savior" in the Northern Land.

She could only hear their prayers and "see" what they were doing.

Clearly, if she wanted to formally establish a connection, she still had to wait for news from Sebastian.

Time quickly passed, and three days went by.

There were still no follow-up reports from Sebastian.

However, someone did arrive early.

Feeling the swiftly approaching aura in the unseen void, Charlotte turned toward the window and said,

"Come in, the window's not locked."

As soon as her words fell, a swarm of black bats flew in through the window. The bats whirled continuously, converging and transforming into a human shape, eventually taking the form of Albrecht.

He appeared weary from travel, dropping to one knee with a thud, respectfully saluting Charlotte:

"Great True Ancestor, your humble Blood Servant Albrecht... has arrived upon your summons."

Charlotte set down the quill in her hand, sizing up the Legendary Bloodline before her.

Despite not having seen him for several months, he seemed unchanged, though his demeanor appeared more respectful than before.

Clearly, after this encounter, Albrecht, as a Senior Legend, also vaguely sensed something different about Charlotte.

He might not discern the physical changes in Charlotte now compared to before, but he could feel the suppression of the bloodline.

Charlotte's judgment was correct.

Albrecht was indeed very nervous.

Rather, upon sensing Charlotte's increasingly profound aura, he became somewhat jittery.

His aura seems even deeper and more terrifying!

His power must have recovered further!

Albrecht bowed his head, his thoughts churning, his expression growing more reverent.

"You've come quite swiftly... I heard you went to Eastern Yonette Black Land? What were you doing there, seeking some peace and quiet?"

Charlotte asked with a smile.

Though she smiled, hearing her words, Albrecht felt the pressure mount.

He swallowed, quickly shaking his head:

"No, no, no... You misunderstand, I truly went there to accomplish a task. Didn't you instruct me to infiltrate the Blood Demon Church and to secretly search for the Holy Artifact within the Church that could locate the cursed pages? That's what I was doing in Eastern Yonette Black Land."

"Oh? Any results then?"

Charlotte raised her eyebrows, inquiring.

Albrecht hesitated, then answered:

"Temporarily... not yet..."

"Hmm?"

Charlotte's tone rose.

"Just a little! Just a little! At least I've made progress with controlling the Church! Other Church divisions in the New Moon Kingdom are controlled by Legends, so I didn't make a move there, but integrated the division at the border of Eastern Yonette and New Moon! As for the Holy Artifact you mentioned, I am still searching..."

Albrecht quickly said.

Charlotte glanced at him, nodding slightly:

"Alright, that's some progress, considering how quickly you came back, I'll let the rest slide."

Hearing Charlotte's words, Albrecht felt as if he'd been granted amnesty.

He took a deep breath, wiping the sweat from his forehead, only then realizing his back was soaked with cold sweat.

How terrifying... dealing with this fearsome Ancestor is truly a test of a Bloodline's heart endurance!

"So... the other matter I asked you to handle?"

Charlotte continued.

Hearing her words, Albrecht momentarily froze, then quickly realized what Charlotte was referring to.

He nodded, respectfully replying:

"Great True Ancestor, I visited the Royal Family Library in Lutecia, and just as you said, the tip of the library's tower indeed had the pattern mentioned in your Oracle imprinted."

"Due to the age, much of the pattern has been damaged, but I believe... it should be the pattern you referred to."

"I have already transcribed it using magic. Please have a look."

Saying this, a flash of light appeared in Albrecht's hand, presenting a magically transcribed scroll respectfully.

Charlotte received it, her gaze shifted, and then... she froze.

Though heavily damaged and unclear, she could still recognize, Albrecht had transcribed exactly the four characters she wrote, "Was Here."

Her sleep had indeed taken her back to the past.

And possibly... altered the past!
