Bleach: My Zanpakutō Is the Entire Underworld

Chapter 47: Chapter 47: Kill Reward

From the terrifying light of condensed energy, wisps of shadow seeped out—shadows of death itself.

Beneath the bone-white mask, terrifying in its appearance, were emotionless black pupils.

At this moment, Asano Kiyoshi appeared to give up resistance, allowing the chain to drag him straight toward the oncoming Cero, allowing himself to be utterly destroyed by it.

The Cero grew more and more solid, its terrifying spiritual pressure twisting the very air around it. And just then, Asano Kiyoshi quietly lifted his hand and began to chant:

"Bakudō #39 — Enkōsen!"

With the chant complete, a dark grey circular shield materialized in front of him. Though Enkōsen had decent defense, it was no match for a point-blank Cero. At most, it would leave behind a slightly less mutilated corpse.

Despite the grave situation, Kiyoshi's face remained serious but unflustered. Seeing there were still around ten meters left, he continued chanting:

"Bakudō #37 — Tsuriboshi!"

Blue spiritual pressure burst forth behind him, transforming into thick vines that clung to several giant nearby trees. In the center of the vines, a dense net of spiritual particles formed.

By the time Tsuriboshi was ready, the distance between him and the Cero was under five meters.

Facing the terrifying force of the Cero, Kiyoshi took a deep breath. His spiritual pressure erupted as he unleashed the two domains of his Zanpakutō.

A field of eerie, blood-red flowers bloomed behind him. An ancient, majestic pavilion emerged at his feet. Skeletons gathered and circled him, as though worshipping a god above all gods. A gentle breeze swept through, stirring a haunting, yet beautiful wave of flowers across the scarlet sea.

From the red tower inscribed with "Gate of the Underworld," blood trickled slowly, as if mourning, sobbing, and wailing.

Kiyoshi gazed at the growing mass of blue spiritual pressure, his pupils contracting. Suddenly, an indescribable power radiated from the blood-red tower behind him.

This was a power not of this world—a force superior to the laws that governed it.

Unfathomable. Unseeable. Unimaginable. Unobservable.

It transcended the Bleach universe itself, like a backward glance from the end of time. Just one glance was enough to instantly dismantle the particle structure of the Cero, erasing its composition entirely.

Erased from existence—from soul to essence.

For the first time, the eyes beneath the white mask showed confusion. The Cero wielder trembled as he watched the blast that had nearly finished forming begin to destabilize.

Kiyoshi's expression remained calm, though a flicker of tension passed through his eyes. He drew a black longsword from the scroll and, gripping it in reverse, slashed upward!

It felt like slicing through tofu. In the next moment, everything was swallowed by a wave of blue light.

Pain. Darkness. Burning.

These three sensations instantly overwhelmed his entire body. It was the aftershock of shattering a Cero mid-formation.

Even the backlash alone was enough to leave his entire body torn and bloody. Enkōsen's defense was pitiful before such power—it dissolved in less than a second. But Kiyoshi had never intended to block it fully; he had simply used the shield's brief protection to launch a Shunpo and escape as fast as he could.

The wave of blue spiritual pressure struck. His body, like a damaged kite, spun in the air several times before crashing onto the net formed by Tsuriboshi.

The impact was so immense it tore all the surrounding vines apart and even shredded the spirit particle net. Fortunately, this cushioning had reduced the force enough that Kiyoshi merely left a large crater upon landing.

This was only the spiritual particle explosion from the Cero being interrupted. Had he taken the full blast head-on, there wouldn't even be ashes left.

This was nothing like the original work, where a character could casually crush a Cero with one hand. Talk about misleading the audience!

Kiyoshi lay embedded in the muddy earth. Dirty, sticky sludge seeped into his mouth and ears. Despite the pain of burned flesh and what felt like shattered bones, he still struggled to rise.

The reason was simple—he didn't know if the Hollowfied Yingkou Hui had survived that blow. If he had, and Kiyoshi remained down like this, he would be as good as dead. Hui would never spare him.

But just as he was about to push himself up again, an unusual sensation flooded his body. It was like cold water being injected directly into his veins, shocking his system—and oddly... refreshing.

The scroll automatically unfurled, revealing elegant script:

"Yingkou Hui slain. Fragment of his Hollowfied power successfully absorbed. Spiritual pressure increased by approximately 14%. Physical durability enhanced with minor Hierro integration."

The first line confirmed it—Yingkou Hui was dead.

Seeing the blood-red text, Kiyoshi exhaled deeply. He collapsed completely into the mud, letting it coat his entire face.

But the corner of his lips curved upward. Finally. Finally, it was over.

And yet, even after Hui's death, the scroll didn't stop. More lines began appearing:

"Musashi Kasa slain. Fragment of spiritual pressure absorbed. Increase of approx. 0.73%.""Hatori Teru slain. Physical constitution fragment acquired. Hakuda +0.47.""Ōiwa Ikki slain. Swordsmanship fragment acquired. Zanjutsu +0.12."

...

There were about seven or eight lines in total—remnants of those beasts he had killed along the way. They had contributed significantly to his stat growth.

But nothing pleased him more than the reward from killing Hollowfied Yingkou Hui.

As expected of a Hollowfied entity. A single kill had increased his spiritual pressure by 14%!

Not only that, after absorbing Hui's spirit particles through the Gate of the Underworld, Kiyoshi could clearly feel the improvement in his physical resilience. If previously a kitchen knife could still cut his skin and draw blood, now no matter how an ordinary person used one, it would only leave a faint white mark—not even a red welt.

Exhaling slowly, Kiyoshi opened the scroll to check his own stat sheet. And there, it read...
