Chapter 14: Chapter-13
***Akihiko Azashiro***
Two weeks have passed and today my father must take me to the family library. I expected to go immediately to study the records, but he set a condition. I must show him my level of kido proficiency and if my father deems it sufficient, I will be allowed to visit the library.
To be honest, it was not easy to satisfy my father's demands. It took a whole week to reach the "level worthy" according to him. Now I can use kido up to level 75, without reading the spell. I had to spend a whole week just on this. But I got my way and yesterday my father agreed to give me a pass.
Unfortunately, I had to give up all other training sessions for a while. The first thing I wanted was to study my shikai properly, I'll have to wait. And I have a lot of time, you shouldn't rush so much, driving yourself in, rest is also an important part of training. You won't be able to achieve much in training if you don't restore the reirek's supply.
It's sad that my grandfather won't be able to allocate time for my training. Lately he has had a lot to do in the squad. It was not even possible to get out of my barracks and visit my family.
Fortunately, the father turns out to be a recognized master in kido. He agreed to coach me, a couple of times a week in the evenings.
Here it is worth clarifying who these recognized kido masters are. To do this, it is not enough to know and be able to use a lot of kidos. Having mastered all techniques for using kidos at a sufficient level, you can be considered a master. However, recognized masters must be certified to receive a rank in the kido squad. There they will test your skills, knowledge, strength and, based on the results, decide whether you deserve this title or not. Typically, a decision is made by means of votes, that is, three out of five inspectors must make a positive verdict.
Of course, after being awarded the title of master of kido, obligations and restrictions are imposed on shinigami. For example: prohibition of providing their services in the installation of barriers to persons who do not have the status of a noble family. Commitment to protect Seireitei. Updating selected barriers and seals under supervision. Mandatory training of two shinigami kido, up to expert level. And others aimed at safety Soul Society.
There are also some nuances: if a member of a noble family undergoes certification, relaxations apply to him. In effect, only the obligation to protect and safeguard Seireitei remains.
Such craftsmen were paid a fairly large sum to remain in Seyreitei and essentially carry out Council 46 assignments. In return, they received money, access to some knowledge of the kido, and status. As a recognized master of kido, it was not difficult to found his noble family. Most of these masters, just for this opportunity, undergo certification, despite many obligations.
My father is one of these masters. Because of his status, he is not required to comply with all these rules. But money, Council 46 still pays. So it turns out, just another source of income for the family, passive, hah.
At the moment, it's good in the Soul Society if there are seven such masters. Rarely did Shinigami reach such heights in the art of kido. More often, the craftsmen came from noble and noble families. It was not difficult to guess why. From birth, they could use the savings and knowledge of generations of predecessors. Rare unicums could achieve this on their own, but most often they had to join a kido squad to access knowledge.
-It's time-said the father appeared on the doorstep and left.
Without answering anything, I followed him.
Near one of the walls he stopped, pulling out a paper talisman and attaching it to the wall, it disappeared. Instead of a wall, a passage appeared, a spiral staircase leading down.
Torches burning with green light at the edges illuminated our path. About thirty seconds later, the stairs ended and a red barrier appeared in front of me. In appearance it seemed that it was not strong enough, just a thin film glowing red. But the feeling of the reatsu emitted by the barrier did not allow us to doubt its reliability.
While I was looking at the barrier, my father slowly approached him and began to read out the spell.
-...print Azashiro. - strange title for printing, I thought.
In front of my father, a seal appeared in the form of the coat of arms of our family. Turning to me, he gestured to call me to him.
"Touch the seal with your hand, it will be your pass". - said the father.
Having done as he said, I touched the seal hanging in the air with my left hand.
*Flash*
A flash of red light blinded me.
Having restored my vision, I looked at my left hand. I didn't feel any changes. I didn't even feel the seal that it had disappeared and should have appeared on my hand.
All I could do was look at my father for clarification.
-That seal will always serve as your pass through that barrier now. I saw the way here, and then you'll figure it out yourself. - without saying anything else, he went towards the exit.
"How to use printing?" I asked.
And in my father's opinion, I should use a seal that I don't even feel!?
-Just touch the barrier.- and disappeared, climbing the stairs.
Touching the barrier with his left hand, a seal appeared on the back of his palm. For a few seconds, I watched the waves on the red wall of the barrier until a passage formed in front of me.
Going inside, I fell into a stupor. The family library seemed to me like a huge hall, with a bunch of bookcases filled with books and manuscripts. What he saw made him doubt it.
I entered a small room, smaller in size than my bedroom. There was a table in the center, and there were two small bookshelves against the back wall. On the ceiling, a yellow sphere hanging on a chain illuminated the entire room. To say that I was disappointed is to say nothing.
-Haaa, hopefully I'll find something useful. - already in a less high spirits, I approached the shelves.
***
Returning to my room late at night, I just plopped down on the bed. The whole day of reading and studying new information greatly exhausted me. I didn't even have the strength to undress and take a shower before bed.
As it turned out, I was able to find a lot of useful information about the kido. I knew that the basis of everything was the power of names. But I didn't imagine that shouting techniques in the anime was for a reason. It turns out that the power of names works for everything, even if the zanpakto techniques weaken by a smaller percentage than the kido, but weaken. By naming a technique before using it, you release all its power, no matter how paradoxical it may sound.
With kido, things are a little more complicated. The power of spells becomes weaker, at least three times, without pronouncing the abbreviated name kido (Bakudo № 4 Hainawa). To release the full power of the kido, you need to say its full name, that is, read out the words of the spell.
Also in one of the entries it was mentioned that the strength of each kido depends on the reatsu invested in it. I already knew this, but it was a discovery for me that it was necessary to strengthen the kido at the last stage of formation, right before launch. I, in turn, did the opposite, at the beginning of the formation of the kido, served more reatsu, and from there such a bad result.
There were a few more quite entertaining discoveries for me. It turns out that kidos above level 90 no longer consist of reatsu, but of reishi (spiritual particles). This information shocked me. It turns out with the help of a kido, it was possible to create a spiritually material object, with certain properties, albeit for a while.
Most of all I found information about the process of creating spells, describing successful and unsuccessful attempts to create a new kido. An approximate level of control over reatsu was described, at which you can try to invent a new kido. Surprisingly, it was not necessary to be able to use the level 90 kido. The most powerful kidos seem to be put in the hotel category, which cannot be compared with the rest.
My great-grandfather Soya Azashiro wrote to start working on his own kido, it is worth achieving a level of control sufficient to give his reatsu shape. You can try earlier, but creating something stronger than Hado №1 Sho will not work. Of course, there is not much point in this, so you shouldn't bother yourself with this ahead of time.
We managed to get a couple of ideas about control training. One of my great-great-grandfathers had zanpacto that was similar to my ability, only with healing properties. In his diary, he described how he trained his control of the reatsu.
Everything turned out to be quite simple; it was necessary to create ordinary geometric shapes. Then, at the same time create as many different figures as possible using your ability. Initially, I planned to do something similar, to train in chic, but the idea was never formulated. Given the difficulty of controlling my ability, it should be more effective than training control with reatsu. This will also help a lot in the future if I start creating my own kido.
The most useful thing at the moment, apart from the information on strengthening the kido, was the description of the application techniques. In principle, there are three techniques with which kido can be used, different from the main one.
Without reading text: A method of applying a kido in which the practitioner does not read the text of the spell at all. The only technique I have mastered so far.
Mixed Spell: A method of kido casting in which the practitioner mixes two different spells to save time and confuse the opponent. The most difficult technique for me of all three.
Reading after use: A method of casting a kido in which the spell is read after using the technique itself to power it up. Unfortunately, the technique only applies to high-level bakuda and barriers.
Describing techniques in itself would not benefit me, but thanks to the recordings I will not have to go blindly and use the pumpkin method to find the right path.
With the technique of reading after use, it was simple and difficult at the same time. It was just learning to use a kido without the main part, just a spell. In normal cases, nothing would have happened or the kido would not have worked correctly. It's difficult to weave the missing part of the kido into existing ones.
The mixed spell technique had its own nuances. It is best to hide the second kido, in the spells of the path of destruction. It is also impossible to combine two kidos of the same path in this way. The hardest thing is to learn how to set aside or add conditions to activate a hidden kido. The very introduction of one kido into another occurs at the very last moment, before activation.
So I fell asleep in my clothes, thinking about kido and future training.
***Deichi Azashiro's Dogs***
Leaning back on a comfortable chair, I tried to relax. There have been too many problems lately. The families of Nakamura and Koboyashi seemed to have fallen underground. All the detachments sent to search for them returned with nothing. Also, you should not stop searching for the unknown person who attacked Akihiko, at least for appearances. Hideo Tsunayashiro has recently been active. It is clear that he has less time left using the family heirloom and wants to protect his family.
It is unclear what he wants to achieve by making more and more enemies among high-ranking noble families. He will not be able to protect his family in this way; rather, he will hammer the last nail into the coffin lid. Never before has the noble clan been as weak as Tsunayashiro. I saw this as an opportunity, all that remains is not to miss the moment.
Somehow, he managed to find the idiots who attacked our hot springs and restaurants in Seireitei. Of course, no one will see them again, but the damage has been done and recovery will take time. This situation suited me, the last thing my family would need was money, and when the time comes to hammer the coffin lid of the Tsunayashiro family, I will be the one who serves the hammer.
Even though I am ready to suffer losses, it is worth minimizing the damage. I will increase security and close all stores outside the 10th district.
Also, yesterday my father reported that the Kuchiki clan had moved. I take into account the enmity between the father and the head of the Kuchiki family, it is not difficult to guess what they are trying to achieve. In general, I am surprised that my father was able to hold out as captain for so long. A protege of one of the noble clans was usually appointed to this position. Of course, no one would approve of the incompetence, and therefore the candidates were worthy of the position of captain. Otherwise, other noble families could begin to be indignant.
I think that soon my father will have to resign as captain of the kido detachment. It is advisable not to delay this and not try to sit in the captain's position longer. It takes time, it's worth making a deal with the Kuchiki clan. Fortunately, Kinryu Kuchiki's feud only extends to the father and does not affect the Azashiro family as a whole.
Amid all these problems, Akihiko continues to give me surprises. At fourteen years old, he owns a kido at such a high level. I achieved it shikaya and still continues to train hard.
I still remember with a shudder how he trained last week to get admission to the family library. In a good way, he shouldn't have been allowed there. That room contains knowledge that is too complex for his level. But watching how he devotes himself entirely to training and does not think of stopping, I did not want to limit his development.
Already, his supply of reirek is terrifying. Of course, I have seen quite a few so-called geniuses in my life, but my son is head and shoulders above each of them. I'm afraid to imagine how strong it will become in a hundred years.
If we fight him, I will still be confident in my victory, but it will no longer be easy to call it. I will have to give my best and show all my skills to defeat him. And I'm not a weak shinigami by the way. In Seireitei, I will be on the list of the hundred strongest shinigami, perhaps even at fifty. But Akihiko is already able to force me to act at full strength.
At the same time, having such power, he is not arrogant, not arrogant, not proud, from childhood he was extremely reasonable and reasonable, did not beg, did not throw hysterics, did not even raise his voice to me and Aya even once.
Of course, he also had shortcomings, no matter how they were. Akihiko had trouble making contact with other people, so apart from Yasuko, he doesn't communicate much with anyone. Perhaps excluding family members, only with Sato-san and Yoshi-san could he sometimes have a casual conversation.
Stop hovering in the clouds, as soon as you finish your work and go to bed. I wouldn't want to upset my wife, her hand is heavy. Taking documents from the table, I continued to work.
-Hope I'll make it through the night.-
I grimaced, looking at the stack of papers that required familiarization. It was easier in the covert operations squad than with these pieces of paper.
-Knock-knock-
I looked in bewilderment at the door they were knocking on. Usually no one does that. If someone needs him, the guard comes in and asks permission to let the person in.
-Enter-
The door opened and my wife, an adjustment, and a dissatisfied wife entered the office. Accepting my fate, I got a couple of blows to the head, I leaned back in my chair.
"Won't bother to explain what the hell are you doing here?" - foreshadowing the problem in tone, said Aya.
-Working - right after my words, wanted to slap my head.
-Mmm, you're working and what's so important happened, hmm? - walking behind my back and placing my hands on my shoulders, she asked.
Trying to come up with something, my eyes ran around the table, hoping to find a saving thread that would protect him from his wife's wrath.
"Today I took Akihiko to the library". - trying to change the subject, I answered in a humorous voice.
-I know, you think I wouldn't know? Don't try to jump off, nothing will save you anyway. - affectionate strokes on the head from your wife, usually giving pleasant sensations, now caused a herd of goosebumps on the back.
"Let's go to bed, I'm not going to fall asleep alone!" in a tone that does not tolerate objection, Aya said her last words and walked towards the exit.
"Why are you sitting, let's go I said!" Jumping up from my seat, I caught up with my wife and we went to our bedroom together.
