Chapter 29: Episode 29: "The Ghost of the Past"
Black Squad – Episode 29: "The Ghost of the Past"
Opening Scene
Location: Mumbai Central Prison – Maximum Security Wing – 11:45 PM
A dimly lit corridor. The sound of dripping water echoed through the silence. Inside his cell, Aditya Singh sat motionless, staring at the ceiling. His leg, still recovering from the gunshot wound, throbbed with pain.
A guard unlocked the door, stepping aside as a mysterious man in a dark suit entered. His face was shrouded in the shadows.
> Zain Qazi: "You played a bold game, Aditya. And you lost."
Aditya smirked.
> Aditya: "I had the city in my grip. You think you can do better?"
Zain took a seat, his expression unreadable.
> Zain: "I don't play games. I control the board."
Aditya leaned forward.
> Aditya: "You want me to work for you?"
Zain chuckled.
> Zain: "No. I want to give you something… that the Black Squad fears the most."
He slid a photograph onto the metal table.
Aditya's eyes widened.
It was an old case file, marked "CLASSIFIED."
> Zain: "The past has a way of haunting people, Aditya. And this time… the Black Squad won't see it coming."
CUT TO BLACK.

Scene 1: A Brutal Murder
Location: Juhu Beach – 6:30 AM
The waves crashed gently against the shore. Morning joggers moved along the sand, enjoying the sunrise.
Then—a scream.
A woman's lifeless body was found near the rocks. Her face was brutally beaten beyond recognition. A symbol, carved into her chest, sent chills through the officers at the scene.
Black Squad arrived moments later.
A.C.P. Sulaiman Qazi stepped out of the SUV, his eyes darkening as he examined the body.
> Qazi: "This wasn't a robbery. This was a message."
Arjun Rathore studied the symbol.
> Arjun: "I've seen this before…"
Neha, scrolling through the police database on her tablet, froze.
> Neha (whispering): "It's from an old case. One of our first."
She turned the screen to Qazi.
It was a file from six years ago.
The same symbol. The same brutality.
The murderer had been presumed dead.
> Qazi: "That's impossible. He died in an encounter."
Imran Wani narrowed his eyes.
> Imran: "Or… we were made to believe he did."
A chilling silence fell over the team.
Someone they thought was long gone… had returned.

Scene 2: A Face from the Past
Location: Mumbai Crime Archives – 8:00 AM
Qazi and Arjun sifted through dusty case files in a dimly lit room. Pages filled with old crime scene photos, interrogation reports, and evidence logs.
> Arjun: "The 2019 case. Serial killer. Called himself 'The Specter.'"
Qazi rubbed his temple, recalling the case.
The Specter was a ghost. A mastermind who killed in patterns that only he understood. The police had spent months hunting him before Qazi's old unit took him down.
But something wasn't adding up.
> Qazi: "His body was never recovered."
Imran entered the room, holding a fresh report.
> Imran: "Medical examiner confirmed it. This latest victim? She was killed the same way as his old ones."
Neha clicked on a surveillance video recovered near Juhu Beach.
> Neha: "You need to see this."
The grainy footage showed a man, his face obscured by a hood, walking calmly away from the crime scene.
Then… he turned toward the camera.
For a split second, his face was visible.
Qazi's heart stopped.
> Qazi (whispering): "It's him."
Arjun's jaw clenched.
> Arjun: "The Specter is back."

A lead brought the squad to a deserted warehouse near the docks. The air was thick with the smell of rust and decay.
Qazi signaled his team to move in.
Inside, the walls were lined with photographs.
Pictures of them.
Every case the Black Squad had solved. Every criminal they had arrested. Their own faces, circled in red.
> Neha (shaken): "He's been watching us."
Then—a faint beeping sound.
Imran's eyes widened.
> Imran: "BOMB! MOVE!"
BOOM!
The explosion ripped through the building, sending debris flying. The squad dove for cover as fire engulfed the structure.
Outside, a figure stood in the shadows, watching.
A distorted voice echoed through a speaker left behind.
> Specter: "You should have let me stay dead."
The transmission cut off.
Qazi stared into the flames.
This was no ordinary case.
This was personal.
