Bizarre Honkai, a Wife-Chasing Crematorium

Chapter 30: Passing and Rebirth

Li Mo picked up the blood-soaked Shigure Kira, gently placing her on the ground, cushioned by several seat cushions.

The soft touch made it feel as if Li Mo could break Shigure Kira's cold body with just a little force.

Her life line had already begun to break.

A scarlet-red line continued her life line, trying to constantly reconnect it, but the speed of reconnection couldn't keep up with the speed of breaking.

Complete severance was only a matter of time.

After settling Shigure Kira, Li Mo silently walked to the table and violently flipped it over with one hand.

"Aaaaaah!"

"A ghost, a ghost is here!"

The piercing screams almost ruptured Li Mo's eardrums.

But after the screaming, the girls mustered the courage to look back and saw only Li Mo with his gloomy face and pale skin.

"S-Senpai?"

"Senpai! It's senpai! Senpai is back! We're saved, we're saved..."

The girl was immersed in the joy of being rescued, cheering excitedly.

Li Mo didn't speak, but slowly moved his body, revealing the horrific scene in the auditorium.

When Li Mo moved aside, exposing the gruesome and bloody scene in the auditorium to their sight, their cries of joy at being saved sounded particularly ironic.

Their classmates and friends were reduced to half a head, one hand, half a body...

The pungent smell of blood spread throughout the auditorium, and hundreds and thousands of hideous heads were right in front of them.

They fell silent, covering their noses and mouths, trying their best to hold back the nausea rising in their throats.

"Good, you're quiet now," Li Mo said indifferently.

"Most of these broken corpses are Valkyrie corpses. Only a few are those of your classmates."

"Don't think their corpses are disgusting. They died to protect you, and they are not ugly."

"If they hadn't died, then you would have died."

Li Mo's voice was cold, like a machine without emotion, describing insignificant things.

"I'm sorry... I'm sorry..."

"I didn't mean to... I was too scared. We hid here... I didn't want to die..."

The surviving girl's voice was hoarse, her eyes were swollen and red, her body trembled, and her words were slurred.

The fledglings who hadn't witnessed this kind of scene could only express their primal fear in such a low-level way.

They would only keep apologizing, keep apologizing, as if apologizing could awaken the dead, could erase their weakness and mistakes, could make up for all the misfortune and disaster.

It was only because death hadn't fallen upon them that they were able to whine without a real illness.

Li Mo hated this kind of behavior. Rather than apologizing, they should think of ways to make up for it and act on their convictions.

These seemingly sincere apologies were nothing more than the cheapest atonement, not even atonement, but a kind of hypocritical self-deception.

"You don't need to apologize to me, nor do you need to apologize to anyone."

"They chose to die willingly, because that is a Valkyrie's duty."

"But that doesn't mean you're not at fault. You're too weak. You're so weak that when you encounter danger, you only know to run away, only want to hide, leaving the dead end to others. Weakness is your original sin."

"Now, instead of making meaningless apologies, you should think about how to make their deaths more valuable, to give them a more noble meaning. That's what we survivors should be thinking about."

As he spoke, Li Mo tossed the other Valkyries' weapons to the students under the table.

After receiving the weapons, they were still sluggish and hadn't yet recovered from their earlier grief.

But there was plenty of time. Li Mo wasn't in a hurry, nor did he urge them. Once they came to their senses and tried to understand what he had said, they would naturally change.

The fastest growth often comes with loss.

The more you grow, the more you lose.

This is an unchanging truth.

The black coffin remained silent, looking particularly solemn and majestic amidst the scarlet mess.

Li Mo grabbed the coffin lid with one hand, easily pulling it open. It was crammed full of living people.

There was almost no extra space. The people in the black coffin were red-faced and sweating profusely.

"Come out. It's safe outside," Li Mo ordered.

The people in the black coffin carefully poked their heads out, and the moment they saw the scene outside, their bodies went limp.

They were dead. They were all dead...

Saori Tsuruyo held her thermometer in both hands and was the first to leave the coffin.

And the others were still immersed in panic, staring in disbelief at the hellish scene outside.

"Get out. I don't want to say it a second time."

Li Mo's cold expression made him seem like a more terrifying entity.

Soon, everyone crawled out of the black coffin and fell into silent stillness outside.

Their faces were full of self-blame, guilt, embarrassment, and many other emotions.

But Li Mo didn't care.

"Go and repeat what I just said to them, all of you are to stay in the auditorium tonight and are not allowed to go outside," Li Mo said coldly, calling out the girl who had been apologizing nonstop under the table.

Saori Tsuruyo stood quietly next to Li Mo, without saying a word.

"Go take care of her. Save some of the collected food for her, to restore her energy. Feed it to Shigure Kira after she wakes up."

"Okay."

Saori Tsuruyo quickly walked to the backpack where the food was stored, and began to sort and pick out the most valuable food.

The others only needed to satisfy their hunger, but Shigure Kira needed to sustain her fragile life that was like a candle in the wind.

There were still nine people left in the auditorium. Besides himself and Shigure Kira, there were only seven others.

Two under the table and five in the black coffin.

The survival rate was barely around one-third.

It seemed acceptable, but if it hadn't been for Li Mo's timely intervention, Shigure Kira's desperate resistance, and the special protection of the black coffin,

there wouldn't have been a second living person besides Li Mo after tonight.

This was reality.

"S-Senpai... can we really leave alive? I don't want to die..."

One of the girls couldn't handle the pressure any longer and was on the verge of mental collapse.

Li Mo asked, "What if I said we're all going to die here, and end up being eaten by these disgusting heads?"

"Then I would rather die right now under senpai's gun! At least I wouldn't have to live in fear anymore..."

Before the girl could finish her sentence, Li Mo pulled out his gun and pointed it at her forehead.

"I'm not joking right now, and I don't like people joking about death with me. If you're really afraid of being eaten by those head ghosts, I don't mind relieving you of your suffering right now."

Li Mo was too lazy to explain to people who would only be a burden, and he didn't want to help them grow.

Everyone was moving forward under pressure. Just because an individual was afraid and wanted teammates to support them, thereby burdening those teammates, Li Mo wouldn't allow such people to remain on his team.

"Ah... I, I..."

The girl was clearly frightened by Li Mo's actions. She just wanted to vent her emotions, to make the leader, Li Mo, care more about her and pay more attention to her.

She hadn't expected it to backfire.

She couldn't understand Li Mo's current state.

He was not only a human, he was also a bizarre entity.
