Chapter 64: Wangxing
Lu Mingxi held the palm-sized scroll, and feeling the tyrannical and complex layers of forbidden formations in it, said: “Is this the best psychic magic weapon there is? It really deserves its reputation!”
The other female disciple standing beside the two was named Liu Zhao. She also came up to them, looked at the small scroll in Lu Mingxi's palm, and said with admiration, “This treasure is an extremely comprehensive, top-quality psychic magic weapon. It is worth at least about four hundred and fifty primeval stones. Yet, it is the kind of weapon that cannot be expressed by simple market prices!
“If you put it at the auction, you may even get a price higher than five hundred and fifty primeval stones.” Lu Mingxi nodded, obviously agreeing with her point of view. “The Mountain Lord is really great, willing to part with four hundred primeval stones. The amount can be the entire net worth of an ordinary cultivator.”
Liu Zhaosi paused for a moment and said, “I heard that this mysterious Lord of Luoxia Mountain has some attainments in the art of refining treasures. He should have refined this treasure himself, it shouldn’t have cost him much.”
Lu Mingxi made a silent calculation and said with a smile: “That should be the case. Every time, the Moutain Lord would bestow a psychic magic weapon on those who rank first in the assessment. I’m afraid he’d have gone bankrupt long ago if it were not for him refining all the treasures by himself.”
The entrance examination of the Taiyu Holy Sect would be held every 50 years. Even as the lord of Luoxia Mountain in the Divine Sea Realm, he couldn't bear such frequent treasure gifting.
But, if one was capable of refining a psychic magic weapon by himself, the cost could be reduced a lot. Which could not only make up for the guilt towards the Taiyu Sect in his heart, but also act as a catalyst in spreading an agreeable reputation of him in the sect; the advantages were evident.
“However, the Mountain Lord also greatly appreciates Senior Brother Ji,” Liu Zhao glanced at Ji Yueniaext to Li Shixuan. “During the previous assessment, the Mountain Lord gave almost all ordinary psychic magic weapons, which were worth less than a hundred primeval stones. This time, however, this top-quality psychic magic treasure of Senior Brother Ji... Tsk tsk, the value of this treasure is enough to buy my entire Liu family.”
While the two were talking, the distribution of all prizes among the hundred disciples came to an end. Liao Xun took the first seat and said with a smile, “Peak masters, this time the entrance examination has been exhausting. I have asked people to arrange a superior spiritual banquet in the Xiaguang hall, please move to the peak after completing miscellaneous matters.”
“It's actually a high-class spiritual banquet, Liao Xun has a big heart.” When Lu Zhongguang, the leader of Xuanyuan Peak, heard the words “superior spiritual banquet”, a modicum of surprise shone in his eyes.
“Very good, then I'll take care of everything in the peak first, and then head to the Xiaguang Palace for the banquet!”
…
Peak Master Xingyuan, Li Shixuan, looked sideways at Ji Yuenian and the others, and said, “Let's go, follow me to the Xingyuan Peak.”
“Yes, Peak Master.”
Ji Yuenian and the others followed Li Shixuan out of the Chaoxia Hall, and his magnificent Luan pulled carriage had been waiting outside the hall for a long time.

The disciples were naturally unqualified to take part in the superior spiritual banquet arranged for the peak masters. Li Shixuan first sent Ji Yuenian and others back to Xingyuan Peak and settled them for the time being.
Xingyuan Peak was located on the southern side of the Luoxia Mountains. The peaks were extremely steep, and surrounded by a bottomless abyss. When standing on the top of the mountain at night, the beautiful starry sky appeared brighter, and there were countless stars shining out from the dark abyss, hence the name Xingyuan.
“This is the upper court of Xingyuan Peak. It is called the Wangxing Court. There are 213 courtyards in total. Now there are 110 disciples in Wangxing Court."

As Luan drawn carriage gradually landed on Xingyuan Peak, Li Shixuan's voice entered his ears.
Many courtyards in Wangxing Court were scattered on the top of Xingyuan Peak.
“Where is the head of the Wangxing Court!?”
“Shao Guang has seen the peak master.” A black-robed disciple in the True Dao Realm disciple stepped out of the Wangxing Court, and saluted towards Li Shixuan respectfully.
Li Shixuaodded and said, “The three are Ji Yuenian, Lu Mingxi, and Liu Zhao. In addition to giving the Astral Courtyard to Ji Yuenian, you can arrange a first-class courtyard for the other two.”
“Astral courtyard … Yes, Peak Master.” Shao Guang, who was wearing a black robe, was stunned and replied respectfully.
After breaking into the True Dao Realm, he was already qualified to leave the Luoxia Mountains of the Outer Sect and enter the Six Mountains and Three Realms of the Taiyu Holy Sect to further his cultivation. However, the competition within the Six Mountains and Three Realms was countless times fiercer than that on the Luoxia Mountains. Therefore, there were many disciples who still choose to stay in the Luoxia Mountains after breaking into the True Dao Realm. These disciples held some important positions in the mountain peaks to which they belonged, and would not leave until they broke through the Upper Stage of True Dao Realm.
After Li Shixuan gave out the instruction, he left Xingyuan Peak directly with the Luan pulled carriage, leaving Ji Yuenian and the three in Wangxing Court.
Shao Guang's expression was warm, and he spoke first, “My three junior brothers and sisters, I am temporarily serving as the court master of Wangxing Court. My name is Shao Guang.”
Ji Yuenian and others saluted one after another and said, “I have seen Senior Brother Shao.”
Shao Guang nodded. He looked at Ji Yuenian carefully, and then said, “You are someone peak master has led here personally; earlier than those assigned disciples. As for the identity tokens in the peak, it will be distributed uniformly when all the disciples assigned to Xingyuan Peak from Shanwu Peak arrive.”
After a pause, he continued, “Xingyuan Peak is one of the top ten peaks among the hundreds of peaks in the Luoxia Mountains, and the regulations are relatively strict. I will record some details that need attention later within the jade talisman. I will hand it over to you and the other two.”
Lu Mingxi smiled and said, “Senior Brother Shao, we know what to do.”
Shao Guang glanced at Lu Mingxi and said, “You are a deer demon, so you will temporarily live in the thirty-fourth courtyard of Wangxing. This is the temporary token of the thirty-fourth courtyard. After the identity token in the peak is registered, I will collect this temporary token, you can then open the courtyard with the identity token in the peak.”
Lu Ming thanked him and stepped forward to accept the token.
“There are not many high-class courtyards left, so you can go to Wangxingting Courtyard No. 57, which has just been vacated.”
Shao Guang took out a temporary courtyard token and gave it to Liu Zhao.
“Thank you, Senior Brother Shao.” Liu Zhao also bowed and thanked him softly.
“No need to be polite, are you Ji Yuenian?” Shao Guang waved at Liu Zhao and turned to look at Ji Yuenian with a complicated look to him.
“Yes.”
“I'll take you to the Astral Courtyard,” Shaoguang said. “The two of you will go to the courtyard to rest temporarily according to the map in the token, and you can wait for me at the portal of Wangxing Court tomorrow.”
The next half sentence was obviously addressed to Lu Mingxi and Liu Zhao.
“Yes, Senior Brother Shao.” Lu Mingxi and Liu Zhao looked at each other and nodded in agreement.
