Chapter 1: Witness Something She Didn't Want To See
No words can describe Abigail Snow's current feelings.
She is devastated, having witnessed her fiancé cheating on her.
Worse, he cheated with Vanessa, her little sister.
Seeing them making out on the sofa, half-naked, kissing as if they wanted to devour each other, was enough to make her furious.
"Ryland, you cheating bastard! And you, Vanessa Slut Snow, how could you do this to me? How dare you?"
Abigail shouted as this R18 scene unfolded before her eyes. She did not expect to witness their adultery the moment she arrived at his office.
Ryland Wood and Vanessa Snow were shocked. They clumsily started pushing each other while trying to tidy up their messy clothes.
Panicking, Vanessa stood up and began to straighten her cotton shirt to hide her D-cup breasts. She rushed to approach Abigail, leaving Ryland, who was now busy looking for his shirt, who knows where.
"Sister, please hear me out first," Vanessa cried in a nervous, pleading tone. She continued, "I'm sorry, sister. This is not what you think. Please don't be angry with me."
"Filthy woman!" Abigail hissed irritably. "I don't need an explanation from you! Scram before my eyes—"
Abigail's voice slowly faded. She was taken aback when Vanessa took her hand and swung it to her own cheek.
"What are you doing, Vanes...?" Abigail, confused, saw her sister fall to the floor while holding her cheek and looking at her with teary eyes.
"Sister Abby? I already asked you for forgiveness, but why do you still slap me?" Vanessa asked in her miserable tone. Her soft sob made it sound like she was being slapped for real.
Abigail was left speechless. She knew exactly what her little sister was trying to do—act like the virtuous "white lotus" character in Eastern drama.
How shameless!
Before Abby could scold her sister, Ryland's angry voice echoed.
"Abigail, why are you so cruel to your little sister?" Ryland was shocked to see Vanessa sitting on the floor with tears in her eyes. He quickly approached her.
"Brother Ryland," Vanessa called him softly. When she saw him walking towards her, she continued, "I apologized to my sister, but she slapped me," her soft sobs grew louder.
Ryland's anger rose as he looked at Abigail. "For God's sake, Abigail... your sister Vanes apologized to you, and you still slapped her? You are so heartless!"
Abigail looked at her fiancé in disbelief.
'Oh God! Can you strike this man and send him straight to his coffin? He is so damn shameless! Did he forget I'm his fiancée? Not Vanes?' Abigail couldn't help but vent her frustration in her mind, looking at this shameless couple.
"Sister Abby, I know I was wrong, but why did you slap me so hard?" Vanessa asked as she stood up while holding Ryland's hand.
However, her legs gave out before she could stand straight—she deliberately fell into Ryland's arms to add fire to her sister's heart.
"Vanes, are you okay?" Ryland asked worriedly. He placed his hand around her waist and pulled her closer to him.
"I'm fine, Brother Ryland. Don't mind me. Please speak to my sis. I'm feeling bad for her because we... You know..." Vanessa said. And, once again, her fake tears began to roll down her cheeks.
"Alright, baby. Don't worry. I'll explain everything to her," Ryland smiled gently while squeezing her hand.
However, Vanessa looked at Abigail before Ryland could speak and said, "Sister Abby, I'm sorry. This is my fault. Please, don't be angry with Brother Ryland."
Vanessa's low-miserable voice made Ryland completely side with her to make her plan succeed in stealing him from her stupid sister. She loves it!
Even though she felt hurt and annoyed seeing these two shameless people, Abigail was amused to see how her sister had gotten into her role—she was completely aware of what Vanessa was doing now.
Abigail ignored Vanessa, thinking she would teach her later. She needed to hear her cheating fiancé's reason for why he heartlessly did this.
"Abigail, I know you are upset and confused by what happened. But what you see is not like what you think. Your little sister is not a slut, as you said."
Abigail feels like this man has become brainless.
'My lord! Did this man forget his brain somewhere?' Abigail wonders while clenching tightly, holding herself back from sending a hard slap to his head. Perhaps slapping him hard will help his brain function return to normal.
Unstoppable disappointment filled Abigail's soul. She had known and dated Ryland since they were both in their second year of college. She helped him build his company from the beginning to now.
Last year, after the company had started to run stably and profitably, this man proposed to her and asked her to move into his apartment.
They planned to marry at the end of this year, but their marriage now seems like a plan that will never happen.
'How could he not understand? Did his lust blind him to make him lose his rationality?'
Abigail was grateful that God showed her this man's actual colors before they married.
"If she's not a slut, then what? Why is she here half-naked, entangled with you? If I hadn't shown up, maybe you'd already FUCKING her in this office while your employees work outside."
Abigail felt disgusted, imagining her fiancé fucking her sister every day as she worked here in the marketing department. She helped Vanessa enter this company, but her sister repaid her kindness—by stealing her fiancé.
Vanessa's cries grew louder upon hearing Abigail's words. She tightened her hand on Ryland's arm and looked up into his eyes, "Brother Ryland, I am a slut. Sister Abby was right—"
"No! You are not, baby. You are not like that," Ryland answered gently before gazing at Abigail. His gentleness vanished instantly, replaced by hatred in his eyes.
"Abigail, your sister is not a slut, and she is not wrong either. I'm the one who started all of this. I love her more than I love you. That's the fact."
Abigail feels heartbroken after hearing how sharply Ryland's words wounded her heart. This is the second time she has felt humiliated in her entire life; her father brought home his mistress with her daughter only a few days after he divorced her mother.
She really could not understand since when Ryland, her fiancé, had suddenly become a heartless asshole?
This man before her was nothing like the caring and affectionate person she had been used to seeing since she had known him. Their relationship had been smooth and trouble-free for all these years, let alone a third person present between them.
Trying not to cry in front of these two depraved humans, she secretly took a deep breath and cursed this unfeeling couple in her mind.
"If you love her, why did you propose to me? Why are you still with me and even planning our wedding?"
Hearing her own words, Abigail felt devastated but forced herself to continue speaking.
"Ryland, our wedding is only a few months away. If you don't love me anymore, tell me. There's no need to do this behind my back. Because... if you tell me, I will leave you quietly."
