Bestial Lust (The Owl House AU)

Chapter 11: The Art of Escaping and Not Dying Trying

"The blades are in perfect condition, but the chest area was destroyed."

At the mall, Oliver tries to sell the demonic grasshopper's carcass at a store specializing in rare materials, where the monster's parts are more valuable.

"Sorry, I can only pay for the blades, which can still be reused in other weapons. How about 1 million snails?" The blue-skinned, muscular, impassive salesman offers his price after the appraisal.

Oliver takes a deep breath, frustrated that most of the carcass has been destroyed. If it had been in good condition, it could have sold for $20 million.

"... I guess it's better than nothing." He shakes the salesman's hand and leaves the store, the bag with the payment tucked into his bag.

As he walks towards the hotel, he stretches his limbs, feeling the weight of exhaustion.

"I'm done, and I'm still carrying a 300-pound carcass with telekinesis halfway across town." Oliver grumbled, looking at the raven on his shoulder.

"By the way, I haven't given you a name yet. I can't keep calling you crow, right?" — The crow caws in affirmation.

"Hmm... When I saved you, I never imagined a crow could be this happy... What do you think of Felix?"

The crow caws happily, as if approving.

Oliver smiles and strokes the beak. "Let's stop by a store to get you some food..."

He is interrupted by a familiar voice.

"Hey, you! Stop!" Looking back, Oliver sees Lilith running towards him.

"FUCK!" With a quick movement, he transmuted Felix into a staff and, in one impulse, flew through the market, leaving dust behind.

'Shit, shit, shit… why is she chasing me, did she see that I helped Eda?'

The biting wind whips Oliver's face as he flies over the rooftops of the market, clutching the palisman tightly. But Lilith does not back down.

Mounted on a white crow-shaped palisman, she advances fiercely, her eyes shining with relentless determination.

"STOP RIGHT THERE!"

Oliver can't just keep running away. In one swift move, he releases his black tentacles, which reach out to grab a nearby tower, pulling him violently forward in a sudden acceleration.

But Lilith is relentless. In the next instant, she channels her magic and fires a volley of blue spheres in his direction.

Oliver throws himself to the side, narrowly dodging it—but the blast of magic rips through the air behind him, creating a shockwave that destabilizes his flight.

'Shit!'

Before he can regain control, he feels the impact of something grabbing his ankle. Lilith!

With force, she pulls him down, the two of them falling amidst the market stalls. The impact destroys some of the stalls, scattering fruit, fabrics and screams through the crowd.

Oliver rolls on the floor, stunned. Lilith stands, her dominating presence silencing the chaos around her.

"Did you really think you could run away from me, boy?" His voice is firm and cold.

He doesn't respond. Instead, his mind works fast. He needs a way out.

Then he sees.

A truck loaded with exotic spices. Between the torn bags, a golden powder spreads through the air.

'After I Am.'

A plan forms instantly.

Without hesitation, he pins Felix to the ground and activates his ability. His tentacles expand, grabbing the spice cart and throwing it at Lilith.

She reacts quickly, cutting the attack in half with her blade-like palisman—but it's too late. Golden dust spreads in a thick cloud around her.

It takes Lilith a second to realize. A second to realize that her breathing has become heavy.

Oliver doesn't waste any time.

Using his tentacles to propel his body, he shoots upwards like a missile, escaping the mist and leaving Lilith behind, his eyes already starting to feel heavy.

From above, he watches her sway, trying to fight the sedative effect.

"Good night Cinderella"

He doesn't stay to see the result.

Turning in the air, he flies n

the opposite direction, disappearing into the night before she can chase him again.
